    Installed improperly kink in suction line underneath unit capacitor went out don't want to fix things that are wrong with unit unless I pay them $650 when I'm supposed to have a 10 year warranty this unit was installed improperly 2015 then in 2018 with Florida homes found out the unit was installed and properly they had their Tech come out he found the kink in the suction line underneath the AC unit he even States and properly installed and they have done nothing since then and don't intend on fixing this unit unless I pay them for something that was installed incorrectly to begin with have already paid $280 for the service call + paid 3275.00 this unit is also supposed to have a 10 year warranty on compressor coils and parts and they're not honoring it they want to charge me

    Jeannie arrived on time, was very knowledgable and very pleasant to deal with. She explained the new filter they provided and why it was better than existing filters and had other options for my system should I choose to add them on in the future. Overall, working with R&D has been a great experience from their installation through their service. Great company and they have great people working for them.

    Keith is a good salesman with lots of good reviews and listened well during design. We did make some changes during the project. Once our project began, communication with the customer and subcontractors, project management, and quality control were shown not to be his strengths. We are very blessed that we had the resources to live elsewhere during the demolition and construction. Florida and Texas had hurricanes about 30 days into our project and we believe that had major negative impacts to Keith���s pool of subcontractors. Our project sat for 30-45 days with only a few hours of work during that time. Keith never really recovered. Keith seemed willing to call subcontractors back numerous times and delay the end date of the project indefinitely, but we routinely disagreed on what was acceptable. We pushed Keith to complete everything we could in the last month. After over 4 months for a 3 month project, we had lost confidence and locked Keith and his subcontractors out. We hired additional contractors to perform repair work, finish and repair drywall mud, completely repaint, and just pay attention to details. Our 300 sqft bath and closet addition ultimately turned out very nice. Not recommended.

    One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning
    Technician (salesman?) arrived on time, calling ahead, and had a pleasant and professional demeanor. That's about the only good I can say about my experience. Salesman could not come up with any better proposed location for an air handler than inside a bedroom closet, rendering it useless as a closet, which is absurd--per the property appraiser, it no longer is a bedroom if you do that! It was up to me to suggest a package unit--located outside--as a much more sensible solution. He also advised not to condition the upstairs bedrooms ("I wouldn't bother if it was me, just use window units"). The "quote" was a few handwritten figures on a blank sheet of yellow lined paper with little detail. The price was--by six thousand dollars--the highest out of 6 different quotes I obtained. Keep in mind as well, this was for a system that could do only the lower half of the house. Every other company I had out here quoted me a price for a unit and ducting capable of conditioning the entire house, both upper and lower floors, for thousands of dollars less! He informed me that their official "season" was was to begin in May and the price would go even higher then, by another $2000. Sensing a ploy to get me to sign a contract without shopping around, I got him off my property politely but quickly. Buyer beware this have been warned!

    I called to get clarification about something that I thought was clarified in the initial call when making the appointment last Friday. I was told that I had to place a credit card on file but when I questioned why because I've never had to do it before I was told that they didn't know I was using beaches habitat. I remember telling a customer service rep that I did tell her that because my initial call was regarding an air filter but she kept telling me I did not several times so I told her that I didn't want to argue and can I speak to the manager please. When the manager did get on the phone she immediately told me that it wasn't their responsibility to call Beaches Habitat to see if there is any money in my escrow and that is the homeowner's responsibility. Well, I could see that I was being misunderstood or maybe they thought that I was not being truthful because my initial concern was not about having enough in my escrow to cover the service but getting clarification on why I have to put my credit card on file when I've never had to do it before. I voiced this several times. The only reason I asked if they checked with Beaches Habitat beforehand is to get an understanding as to why they are requesting my credit card. As I tried to explain the manager would never let me finish any of my sentences and threatened me that they would go ahead and bill beaches habitat but if there is not enough money in my escrow that they are going to put a lien on my home. Not bill me but put a lien on my home. That's when I became very frustrated and I told them that I will report them to the state and to the Better Business Bureau and she told me she didn't care who I told. These are some very nasty people over the phone or is it they only like this to a certain kind of demographic. Why would you make threat in this manner. I have proof because I gave permission for my son to record me on the phone. This company's management is rude, lacks professionalism, lacks tact and lacks the ability to handle communicate effectively. The manager could definitely use some professional development/grooming so she can retrain her customer service rep on how to handle calls with quality. I will never do business with them again and anyone who is looking for AC Service I will not refer them. Mean and nasty people!

    We just had an air conditioner put in literally a week ago, an entire unit. They put he unit in just fine. I guess I'm going to give them a "B". I only say that because we kept getting system faults for a week. It took them a week to fix it. It wasn't that it took them a week to fix it. They finally called the carrier to get some additional information I think they could've done that a little earlier in the process. I don't know how to compare the price. It seems high to me but I don't know that's actually the case. I use Ocean State because we've always used Ocean State and we've been here for 40 years. They've always done a good job for us as far as servicing it and warranty work. We do have a ten year warranty. They've been very responsive. They do a good job. I can't say that we've ever had a serious issue with them ever.

    I had Hammond replace my main HVAC system last year. Their prices are reasonable and they do great work! So when my 2nd HVAC condenser was acting up I called them first thing Monday morning. I was able to get an appointment the same day and the technician Jeff was prompt and professional. He diagnosed and repaired it in less than 30 minutes. The unit was installed by the previous homeowner, so it was a nice surprise when he told me the part was covered under the manufacturer's warranty. I highly recommend Hammond for repairs and replacement.

    Service representative tried to charge me for a part that failed and he the owner had personally installed the new part, a month prior, which was under warranty (parts and labor) for a year. Had I not spoken up they would have charmed me a lot of $.

    They were prompt and professional. The repair was exactly what they had expected and the cost was reasonable. We then signed up for their 24 hour maintenance plan and have been thrilled. They have come twice so far after 5 pm and have fixed the unit, in time for a cool night.
