Dog Grooming reviews in Apopka

Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Apopka
I didnt like the cuts so I complained to the owner. She brought out the groomer who had an attitude before we even discussed my concerns. The next time I brought my pets in the groomer was very rude and the owners are not very responsive. It appeared to me that the groomers opinion of me was more important to them than my opinion of their grooming service. In addition, the groomer told me because it took me 30 minutes to pick up my dogs, I would have to pay a kennel fee as well as a grooming fee. Needless to say I did not take my dogs back.

Excellent service. My dog was happy to be handed off to the groomer, he is usually more shy with strangers. His cut was great, he looks fantastic! The staff was helpful about setting up the appointment and flexible when I needed to change the day. Overall, a really great experience.I only wish it was closer to my house. I went out of my way to get the discount and because of the great reviews.

They treat my pet well, the vet is very nice, the front desk nice and the groomer is very nice and sweet. They are all very nice. They've always been pretty good. They were very compassionate, sweet, and kind to both me and the pet. They were very nice even though the pet was dying.

    Little Shop of Grooming
We had been using Little Shop for almost three years. However, after noticing some issues with cleanliness and reading a terrible review, we decided to check for another groomer closer to home. Found one with terrific reviews, all A's, I figured I couldn't go wrong. It was horrible! Worse since my husband cut her. Back to 'Little Shop' for next grooming... Wow! Huge difference, shop was immaculate and the cut was everything I'd hoped it would be, everything it had always been - Great!

    Little Shop of Grooming
I hesitated to write a negative review of a business but I feel so strongly that it is important to let other pet lovers and owners like myself know what happened so that what happened to our little dog won't happen to any other pets. We heard about this groomer in April of this year when our neighbor took their dog there. We had a groomer that we have used for a long time and she does a good job for us but we decided that we would try out Little Shop of Grooming. We took our Maltese for his appointment in April. The shop was nice and the people working there were pleasant enough. Our dog looked cute when we picked him up and we were pleased with the overall job at first glance. Unfortunately, about 2 days later, our dog started yelping loudly when we touched his ears. We were surprised to see that he had a HORRIBLE ear infection with very nasty discharge coming from his ears. He is almost 5 years old and had never had an ear infection before this one. We took him to the vet immediately and were told that he had a raging bacterial infection. Our poor little dog was in so much pain he cried every time anyone touched his ears so putting the ear medicine in was terrible for us all. I told the vet we had used a new groomer and she said that we should probably reconsider using them again. Because it was his first and only ear infection and it occurred after visiting the Little Shop Of Grooming, we were suspicious that it was connected but unable to prove it. We also left room for the possibility that it could have been a coincidence and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. We used our regular groomer from that point on because she had always done a great job and we had never had any problems with her at all. On November 15th, we took our dog back to Little Shop Of Grooming because we couldn't get in with our regular groomer. We thought we would give them another chance, especially since we weren't able to definitively connect the first visit to our dog's ear infection. My dad took him in to drop him off and specifically told them what had happened to our dog after they had groomed him in April. They told my dad that our little dog had possibly gotten a bacterial infection from the process of pulling the hair from the inside of his ears. They asked my father if we did not want them to pull the hair from our dog's ears this time and my dad, who is 80 years old, told them that they should do whatever is standard for the grooming but to please be careful so that our dog didn't have another problem with his ears. They assured him that they would do so. Again, when I went to pick up our little dog, he looked cute and I had no complaint about the actual grooming job in terms of how he looked. To my absolute horror, 2 days later our little guy freaked out when my husband went to pet him on the head. I looked in his ears and was mortified by the disgusting discharge coming from both of his ears!!! I have never seen anything like it! It took both my husband and I an hour to try and gently clean his little raw ears with a moist cotton ball. His ears were so red and inflamed and had actual sores inside of them from the infection. There was a dark brown glue type discharge coming out of them. I took him to the vet on Monday as this was a Saturday night when we discovered the infection. Thank God we had some of the antibiotic ointment left from the previous infection that I was able to start him on until we could get him to the vet. When our vet saw him, she was shocked by the degree of the bacterial infection in his ears. I told her that we had taken him to the same groomer that we had visited in April when he had the prior nasty ear infection and she was horrified. She told me that she hoped that I would never take him back to that place again which of course, I never will. I regret ever giving Little Shop Of Grooming a second chance but I honestly didn't know for sure if my dog's ear infection in April was connected to his visit to their shop. I suspected so but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I wish now that I had not done so because it has cost my poor little sweet dog a tremendous amount of pain as well as hundreds of dollars in vet bills we had to pay. The worst thing is that my dad warned them about it before they groomed our dog the second time and it happened again! Two raging bacterial ear infections in a 5 year old dog whom had never had a single ear infection before. When his 2 ear infections happened right after being groomed at this establishment, it's not a coincidence! I called the salon and tried to speak with the owner but she wasn't in. I did speak to one of the groomers and she clearly remembered my dad telling them about our dog getting a bad ear infection after the first visit. When I told her that the exact same thing happened again, she was very dismissive and almost sarcastic on the phone. She showed zero concern and did not offer to pay for the vet bills. I asked her to have the owner call me and she couldn't wait to get me off of the phone. I never heard from the owner. Surprise. I just want to make sure that other pet owners are aware of this because our little dog really suffered in pain for weeks due to this groomer.

    SOAPY'S DOG WASH
Soapy's is a self service dog wash. They provide the tub, soap, warm water, aprons, towels, combs and brushes, and clean up. All you do is the actual washing. I love this service! The tubs are raised so you can reach your dog, and they are secure and comfortable. Leaving all the mess and hair behind is great. The employees often help out if they are not busy. They don't hesitate to provide extra soap and towels also. The hours are broad, which is convenient.

They are really good.  They get an "A" for overall and everything except price.  We'd give them a "B" for price.  Quality is very good.  We've used them for years.
