    My Asko washing machine died. Mr. Appliance could not repair it and made efforts to find the parts to fix it. The cost to fix the machine was $999+. Obviously, as much as I liked my Asko, I could buy a new machine for the price to repair mine. I understand the machine was made in Sweden and that it was 15 years old but - and I may be totally unreasonable here - I think if you advertise that you can fix something, that you should be able to do it with out the upfront service charges and several days of "yes we found the parts"; "no we didn't"; yes we did but...". I have already found that my Asko was much, much cheaper to run than the American made one I replaced it with. My Asko used cold water and heated it as needed. My new GE uses hot water and resulted in a $500 electric bill. Not Mr. Appliances fault but I wish I knew all this up front.

    Because our refrigerator has computers installed in it that talk to the thermostat, fan motors, compressor, etc. all at one time, what turned out to be an easy replacement became more complicated as neither we or Art were able to understand why temperatures weren't regulating. However, Art returned 5 times as he was dedicated to make this refrigerator work right. He never charged us for return trips. He is, without a doubt, the most dedicated appliance repairman we've ever had in our 46 years of marriage. We now understand why he is rated so high on this website. We love Angie's List and we want to compliment them on encouraging technicians such as Art Freeman to participate. We now feel our GE Refrigerator GFE29HFEAFF, all of 4 yrs old, should last many years going forward. As for our other appliances? Art will be getting the first call as needed.

    I spoke to Art over the phone and he was able to diagnose the issues based on the error codes I saw on the range. The replacement part was very expensive and Art gave me the pros and cons of fixing versus purchasing a new one. My husband and I decided to repair the unit. Art called the manufacturer immediately and ordered the part and advised that he would have it running by the end of the week. He was true to his word and the job was very time-consuming. It took him over 2 hours to disassemble, replace and re-assemble the range. He was so patient and was very careful everything was done correctly. If you need an appliance diagnosis or repair, call A & S, you will not find a company more professional and caring.

    The repairman inspected all the parts in the ice maker. He found through accurate testing that the main problem was a non working water pump in the ice maker. He then ordered the correct water pump and returned within a few days at which time he accurately installed it.
    We appreciated very much his nice and professional service. It was a pleasurable experience using him, and we highly recommend him.

    It was expedited and he fixed the superficial. A day after he fixed it, it went back to being broken again. My husband had to get down on his knees and fix it. He did fix it but he didn't get to the core of the problem and he had to bend a metal sheeting in the back that we didn't want bent, so it's all bent now. The refrigerator had a leaky pipe and he bent an access sheet on the on the back of the fridge. I think the price was fair. They came right away but it was expedited because the guy didn't want to spend a minute more than he had to. He went too fast and didn't ask a whole lot of questions. I was trying to talk to him to let him know what my husband wanted him to do but he was not listening. He just went straight to fixing it. He was professional.

    There are very few companies that provide 100% customer service, but this is one of them. I am extremely happy with this company and will use them again and again. The scheduling communication could use a little improvement, but the way the technician handled himself when he arrived, makes me not even want to worry about that. I had scheduled my dryer vent cleaning for Saturday between 2 & 4. I called at 4:15 and was told the technician was running behind and it would be 5:30ish. At around 6:15, technician still wasn't there, so I called the office & got the answering machine. A few minutes later, the technician arrived. I didn't realize he would have to climb around on the roof in the dark, I felt really bad about that. However, he showed no sign of being upset about it and promptly went to work. 
    He politely asked if anyone in the house was sleeping before he turned on his machine. He cleaned out the dryer vent from the floor and out on the roof & replaced the dryer hose. He explained to my husband everything he did and showed him the new dryer hose, also informed him of the roof flapper that had been stuck because of debris and rain. He was professional, fast and thorough. We will be using this company at least once a year for this service!
