    Whites Custom Paving
After meeting with several contractors about having my asphalt driveway replaced, I ended up hiring Whites Custom Paving. It was the best decision I could have made. The job was done to perfection, on time and at a reasonable cost. Isaac and team were very diligent, listened to my concerns and made sure everything was addressed. I would definitely use Whites Custom Paving again and highly recommend them!

Everything went great ! We are very happy with the work that was done. All of Delpa workers were very professional. I had no problem leaving my home open for them to come and go as they needed. They cleaned up after each day \.

It was a beautiful job. She had some difficulty with her machinery on the first day, but she got it repaired and came back early the next day to do the job. She was very responsive, and when I told her we needed it done ASAP, she was happy to oblige.

When they came out last summer to do the work, there was several trucks and at least a half dozen guys. When they dug up the concrete, some of them were just dump trucks. They would just fill up the trucks with the concrete and they took off and dump the truck and they came back with the asphalt. It was just a constant motion. It was just very, very well organized. They came back this July to do the sealant. I had to wait a year to have them seal the asphalt, and they came back in the end of July early . They sealed it, and there was about 3 guys doing it then - 3 guys and 2 trucks. One of the guys is the owner. The owner was always here.

Perfect job. They proposed a solution costing me much less than I thought I would have to pay. The job was done in one day and looks great. Alex honored the Angie's List 5% coupon off the estimate. All of this makes me a true Angie's List believer

A+. I had a complete driveway replacement (1200 ft2). Isaac of White's Paving provided a very competitive price. Now that the job is complete I couldn't be happier with the overall quality and workmanship of his crew. These guys know how to lay asphalt! Job included complete tear-out, extension, then 2 layers (1 base and 1 finish) asphalt. Showed up as promised, crew very respectful of property etc... and all were hard working and did a great job. They even cut a brick walk interface so it 'look good'. If you're looking for a paving job be sure to give Isaac a call. They do great work at competitive pricing. You will be pleased.

    Extreme Asphalt Maintenance
Shoddy workmanship, malfunctioning equipment and a bad asphalt mix added up to a totally botched $10,000 driveway job, which the contractor acknowledged and agreed to correct. Never heard from him again after his insurance company denied him reimbursement. Definitely a fly-by-night operation!

    Alex Evans Asphalt Paving LLC
We have had 2 asphalt driveways: The original when the house was built in 1971 and one put on top of that 20+ years ago. It was now loaded with cracks, which I tried to fill, but they reopened (even wider) after every winter. The asphalt had obviously lost its flexibility/was brittle, so it was time for a new driveway. I checked Angie's list for highly rated contractors and ultimately landed on Alex Evans Asphalt Paving. I contacted Alex about doing the driveway. He came to look at it the next day, explained what he would do in detail, and what it would cost. I liked the "cut of his jib" so said "Go!" His crew showed up at 8:30am the next day and the job was completed by 1:00pm today (I'm writing this only a few hours after the job was done). Alex anticipated that the foundation (the original driveway) was probably sound and, after skiving off the old 2nd driveway, deemed it so. So what we got was a cover-over of the original driveway. It looks fabulous, and we're very happy with the end result and with our interaction with the contractor.

    SMITH PAVING INC
The paving job went reasonably well. While the work was being done on the driveway he noticed that my roof was deteriorating. He offered to seal part of the roof, repair the other half, repair or replace my gutters and power wash roof and the mold off my siding. When he arrived he requested my contract and disappeared into his truck where I am quite sure he actually altered the contract--but not the price. He presented me with the altered contract. I should not have signed it but the crew was there and ready to work. The work was performed, not by him as promised but by a sub-contractor. They did a fair (but not good) job of replacing part of the roof, resealing the other half (a procedure of questionable necessity), and did a poor job on my gutters. A seam in the gutter split and they did not function correctly after only a few months. He dis not repair the flashing on my chimney as promised. The subcontractors did a poor clean-up job leaving many roofing nails in my lawn. I would characterize his personality as aggressive, defensive, and unwilling to accept criticism. Moreover there was no response whatsoever to my complaint letter. He does not care about his customers and will not honor his contracts once he has your signature. This was a very disappointing experience and I would recommend against hiring him. Two years later my entire roof had to be replaced in its entirety. The work was performed by an excellent contractor for only slightly more than the cost of his shoddy repairs. Hire at your own risk. It is too bad that we need to hire attorneys before we sign any contracts because so many people conduct their businesses without any sense of ethical propriety. There are good and reliable contractors and service providers out there. I always give good reviews where they are warranted. Do your research and do not be pressured by aggressive sales persons. If you don't have a good feeling about what is happening just say no and move on.
