Door Installation reviews in Wilmington

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Bill Baxter and his crew did an excellent job at my home. They were prompt, courteous, professional and hard working! I would hire Bill and his crew for any job that they can do because I trust that he will ensure a perfect and clean job. He is the best contractor I have ever dealt with.

  • Jesse came himself and was on time. He took time out of his busy schedule on a holiday, everyone else was to busy or just didn’t pick up. Clean work in great time. Cost to do the work was better then anyone else we had asked to come do the work or an estimate. Jesse took his time and thanks to Jesse we can secure our door after this robbery and feel safe again.

  • Excellent craftsmanship and quality. From the salesman to the scheduler, and the installers, all the employees did an outstanding job. I have been using this company for over 20 years. Previous jobs included vinyl replacement windows and entry doors. I'm always very happy with the workmanship.

  • Used Tom on prior project (installing a new entry door). Cost was high, but I thought quality was ok. Discovered later that door was not hung plumb. Door swings open vs. staying in place. Brand new pre-hung door from Provia (great company) and it's not air tight due to his installation choices. $4000 and I have a towel at the bottom of my door. Before I discovered these issues, I asked Tom to remodel our living room (complete gutting). Was going to cost $30,000 and take 2 months. Tom was asked to do some foundation support work to ensure the 1st floor could handle the additional load from the new hardwood floors. I expected to pay $2500 for the foundation work. Final cost was double that. Day 1 I came home and had no power to half my house, including my fridge. When I called him about it, rather than making it right, he tells me he's very busy on Monday nights with church and his kids. WHAT!?!? Promises the fridge will have power by end of next day. Next day I come home, fridge still doesn't have power. He can't get a hold of his subcontractor. Claims it had power before they left. Maybe. Because that night, whatever they did, they messed with the wires in the service entrance (not something I believed needed done) and the result was arc welding the incoming line to the service entrance bolt, ruining the panel. Entire panel needed replaced and hence double the cost. The fix for my fridge that night? run an extension cord to my fridge from another room. That is TOTALLY unprofessional and unacceptable. The straw that broke the camels back is when I asked him when he planned to continue doing the living room (remember, 30K of revenue for him and he had over a year to plan and allocate resources for it), he tells me "Other projects came up and I'll be delay another month." I expressed my frustration that my expensive project that's been on his radar for a year just got pushed aside and there's no compensation for it. He told me, "I understand if you want to go with a different contractor". Tom is a nice individual. But he clearly values his church and children more than his business and his customers. Poor quality control. Inability to manage his subcontractors. No committment to project start times. Inability to get in touch with unless he wants something. Often times I heard nothing from him until he wanted payment for services rendered. Then suddenly he's very responsive. Will NEVER recommend or use his services again.

  • Interviewed a half dozen companies to replace ten windows, two doors and two storm doors. Most were some combination of high pressure or low quality. Homecraft provided high quality installed windows at a very competitive price. There were no “if you sign today” or “this price is only good today” type of deals. The sales person was very professional and left us materials to make our decision. The installation looks terrific and the installers removed all materials. We would highly recommend Homecraft.

  • The job went flawlessly. I am not an expert in home repairs. The sales rep, Rob, guided us through the whole process. I was a little skeptical, only because I am skeptical of all sales people. He has earned my trust. As for the quality of work, it was done right the first time. The windows and doors open and close smoothly. I did find it odd that 2 doors and screen doors cost almost $5,000 with labor for installation, but we definitely got what we paid for. Overall, Job Well Done!!!

  • Viohl contracting did a great job with my project. The new sunroom and patio is beautiful. The team was always on time, professional & courteous. They kept me informed of the progress of their work & provided guidance as needed. Would definitely use them for additional projects!

  • I am very happy with the work. There was mfg delay (not the fault of Homecraft) but everything worked out fine. Workers were polite and professional. In the past I have used Homecraft to install windows and a door at my mom's house. I will use them again in the future.

  • Excellent. The door was replaced by a highly skilled professional who really paid attention to details. Extremely happy with the results. The door is really great an improves the appearance of the entire basement room.

  • Excellent service from the initial review of my needs, to the options available, to the installation of the windows and slider. Excellent product quality, and reasonable price for the quality -- we chose higher end products (especially the slider which has internal blinds) with a high insulation and UV ratings. Very happy with the installed product and especially the service that Ferris provided throughout the process! All members of the team were very knowledgeable about the products and how to install them properly. The installers took their time to do the project properly, and explained everything they did as they went along, and how to operate and care for the finished installation Will definitely go back again for the next project!
