    I called mid-late morning as my heater was not working. The office was very accommodating; gave me a same day appointment even though I had never used their service before. The technician (Shaun) showed up promptly during the time given. He was able to make adjustments which got my heater running again without jumping right to an expensive replacement! In the event the part does eventually need replacing it has already been diagnosed and a quote given. He was lightning fast at figuring out the problem, honest and very professional. I not only would highly recommend this company and would absolutely call them for my heating issues in the future but will now also be calling then for my A/C service as well!

    We had our air conditioner freeze up over the weekend. We replaced our filter, let the system completely defrost overnight and called Enhanced on Sunday to have them check everything over. They called us back first thing Monday and came out later that day. The tech (Greg) did a thorough PM check of the system inside and out. Greg was extremely prompt, courteous and thorough.

    Things got interesting when the A/C system stopped blowing cold air on one of the hottest days of the year a couple of days later. Once again we gave Enhanced a call to come back out. They sent Greg back out to see what the issue was this time. Greg was at the house a couple of hours later and went straight to work. He quickly found the issue (loose wire) outside and made the repair. There was no charge for this repair and cold air was once again blowing through the house.

    This is the 4th time we've used Enhanced for repairs to our HVAC system over the 6 years we've owned the home. Each time they've made every effort to minimize the cost impact to us and the downtime of the system. Twice they dealt with manufacturer warranty issues on our behalf despite not being the authorized contractor for our system. In every instance (prior to this one) they band-aided the system so that we had functionality while parts were ordered and ultimately installed with minimal incovenience to us.

    We don't love it when something goes wrong with the HVAC system in our home but we love dealing with Enhanced when trouble does strike.

    A pleasure to do business with.  I initially contacted Summit after several failed attempts from other companies to fix our home hvac system.  Our home like many in the area provided alot of challenges from the start due to shoddy builder work.  Dwayne and Shawn took their time to thoroughly assess my particular problems and come up with the proper resolutions instead of just getting the quick fix and out the door.  They never once made me feel like they were in a rush and took alot of time to answer any questions and actually help me understand exactly what we could do to maximize the performance in my home.  I found them to be very upfront and honest from start to finish, their price was more than fair, and I was amazed at how responsive and polite their office was during the process.  When my new system was installed, their guys were on time, polite, and took their time and did a great job.  At one point afterward I had some questions and Dwayne and Shawn were at my home in 15 minutes to help me, and I have every confidence if I run into any problems or have any questions in the future they will be there to help.  My energy bills are down, the system is running fantastic, and for the first time in 6 years the home is being heated and cooled properly, something I wasn't sure would ever happen after so many failed attempts by others in the past.  I normally don't take the time to write online reviews but in this case I felt the service was worthy of acknowledging.

    Contacted the provider for routine maintenance on gas furnace.  Provider immediately identified there was a cracked heat exchanger and recommended that the heater not be used due to risk of carbon monoxide.  Provider gave price quote to replace furnace or replace the heat exchanger which was still under warranty.  Decided to replace heat exchanger since it was 20 - 25% of the cost of a new furnace.  Provider is very professional and does quality work.  Have used them in the past for other minor HVAC issues.

    What a nightmare, they will come on time and will be very professional, that's the hook. To make a long story short, I was told my A/C could be charge up for $500.00 but they should fix the leak for $2000.00. Watch out for the laminated book. I declined. Shortly after a friend referred me to someone that checked the A/C said it was 1/2 the pressure it should be and charged the system up for less than $300.00. It's been working fine since. That's a $2200.00 savings, now I can take a vacation. They have no integrity in my opinion. Get a 2nd opinion.T

    I was lucky to find Summit in Townsend, DE through NATE (North American Technician Excellence, when the compressor our heat pump died suddenly less than 6 years after it was installed at the time the house was built by the previous owners.

    I contacted at least a half dozen contractors online on Saturday and Summit was one of three to respond at all over the weekend. Dwayne actually called on Sunday. After a lengthy discussion of the options for repair or replacement on the phone, I could tell the Dwayne really knew his business ( I have a degree in Engineering Technology and took a course in HVAC design). Dwayne came to our house on Monday and made a thorough assessment of the existing equipment. He treated my wife with respect, and of the 5 contractors that came to bid, he provided by the most complete and comprehensive quote. I decided to go with Summit before most of the bids were in.

    Summit has been exceptional in every way. They are clearly customer focused and doing the right thing in every aspect of their business. I've been extremely impressed with their technical knowledge and obvious attention to detail and quality of customer service. 

    Everyone at Summit has been extremely responsive and helpful. They jumped through hoops to help us get an Energize Delaware Loan so we could afford to replace the system. (We've been hit hard economically the past three years and are down to fumes). As it turned out we ended up replacing both the dead heat pump and furnace to qualify for the Energize Delaware Loan and Rebate. That turned a nasty negative cash flow hit, $4000 out of pocket cost into a $90/mo low interest loan payment with $4000 cash rebate. Summit had to cover their upfront costs until the loan company released the funds after the work was done. It took a lot longer than expected for them to get paid and we're still "friends". 

    Summit was competitive on price and clearly every effort was made to provide the highest quality solution at the lowest possible cost to us while still being able to make enough to sustain their business. I was the one doing the up-selling on the project.

    I learned years ago that quality of work and quality of service is paramount when it comes to hiring any contractor. I did a huge amount of research online and asked a lot of questions while deciding what to do and who to go with when it came to this project. One of the most important things I learned is the quality of the installation is the most important part of any HVAC installation. It doesn't matter how good the equipment is if the installation is shoddy.

    The installation went smoothly. The workmanship excellent. Only one minor issue that was quickly resolved. Customer service has been A+++

    Needless to say, I carry their business cards and sing their praises to anyone needing an HVAC contractor.

    The AC on our 5 year old heat pump died suddenly on a Thursday. By the time I figured out it was the compressor and I wasn't going to fix it myself it was Friday night. I emailed Joseph Frederick & Sons that night along with a number of other HVAC contractors. I an email response that night. An nice looking estimator showed up when scheduled and did a reasonably job of looking over what was needed. All was fine until he gave me a rough quote on a sheet of lined paper along with a bit of a superior attitude. Every other contractor provided a formal quote. He made a point of saying that they weren't going to be competitive on price because they were Joseph Frederick & Sons and they certainly weren't. Needless to say I did not select them for the job. I have no problem paying a premium for top quality work and product, in fact, I chose the second most expensive bid, but the unprofessional quote and attitude quickly ended any chance they had of getting an $8,000 job.

    The AC on our 5 year old heat pump died suddenly on a Thursday. By the time I figured out it was the compressor and I wasn't going to fix it myself it was Friday night. I emailed Calvert that night along with a number of other HVAC contractors. 

    I was contacted early Monday and was told that they wanted both my wife and me to be present for the estimate and quote. I was not pleased about that, since it was both inconvenient and typical of a pressure sale scenario. Communication was a bit confused, but finally got time set up for an estimate Thursday evening. I was running late and couldn't make the appointment, but my wife liked the estimator, who provided a professional and competitive proposal for the work. They ended up as my second choice of the five contractors that bid on the job.
