  • This was a difficult task and John Greco/America's Choice did an excellent job. Several other estimates were much higher and required removing all the siding from the home. John Greco pinpointed the problem and delivered a solution that was quickly done and at a fair price. The weather was getting colder (early December) and he was concerned that the existing siding might break if removed. He checked the weather and called me on a Sunday afternoon to tell me that he could get it done the next day because the weather was going to warm up. I would wholeheartedly recommend John and America's Choice. He is an honest man in a resort area where many contractors over promise and under deliver.

  • Dave and his team have been great. I had a fairly large project, all new window, all new siding, stair tread replacement and trimming out the windows on the inside. Dave and his team were excellent throughout the whole process. They did our screened in porch as well and it is excellent workmanship. Found a few other things that needed to get done and Dave and his team were able to accomodate. Highly recommend Dave Donohue! Trust me, you will like him and he is responsive. I am going to hire him to do our floor replacements as well.

  • This is the 2nd time that I used Shawn's services. His skill set really extends far beyond what most handymen offer. The quality of his work is excellent and he approaches each job with an honest appraisal and a strong work ethic. I certainly have no qualms about giving him access to my home when I am not there. He is very much in demand so it isn't easy to schedule time with him but he shows up when he says he will or calls to reschedule if he gets hung up. His rates are fair but not cheap and you get quality work that he will stand by.

  • We found Patsy here on Angie's List and called him because of his A rating and because of all the complimentary reviews he received. He came over to meet us and look at the work we wanted done and we were impressed when we learned about his lengthy background in the construction business and the many different types of projects he had completed. We wanted him to construct, install and stain a wood bead board ceiling in a portico in front of our house that another contractor had left unfinished. He did a fantastic job at a reasonable price and we were extremely impressed with his perfectionist attention to detail and his expertise. Unlike other contractors we have worked with, he came when he said he would and finished on time, and checked in with us on specific details of the work and billed us as agreed upon. He is also a delightful and kind person as well! it has been a pleasure to work with him, and we highly recommend his work! We will definitely have him do more work for us in the future.

  • Before we even decided to hire Comer Construction, Larry came out to our condo in Rehoboth Beach (an hour's drive from his location in Maryland) to estimate the cost. Larry spent an hour in our home discussing our ideas and offering suggestions for improving our plans. He provided a thorough estimate with a clear timeline for performing our work, recommended Kitchen Concepts for our cabinetry & granite countertops, and installed COREtec vinyl plank flooring & a glass tile backsplash that we purchased from another vendor. The work was performed as scheduled over a week and the construction area was cleaned up at the end of each day. Larry was able to compensate for some significant flaws in the structure (uneven floors and ceiling height) to create a professional finished look. When Kitchen Concepts delivered the wrong shelving for our pantry closet, Larry was able to get the correct shelving and installed it within a week even though it meant another 2 hour round trip for what amounted to a 15 minute installation. Larry is a skilled craftsman who approaches the job with honesty and integrity. He was able to do all of the work (cabinetry, flooring, tiling, appliance installation, minor electric wiring & plumbing) without the need of sub-contractors which saved us time and money. We will definitely use Comer Construction for our next project.

  • Patsy and his team, particularly the awesome Karen, are always good and the work is excellent. If you need a very accomplished handyman in Sussex County DE, contract these guys. I wouldn't call anyone else.

  • The box looks terrific and fixed a cosmetic crack and ties the two 2x4s together to prevent further separation. They primed the wood and painted with two coats. We are very pleased with their creative solution (see attached photo)! Price was reasonable and RPM was another joy to work with!

  • Wow! RPM are true professionals and we are lucky to have found them on Angies List. Jan 1st, we discovered "openings" in our house. After reviewing RPM on Angies List and their website, we gave them a try! After meeting the owner, Dennis, and Tony his estimator, our stress level went WAY down. Bill and Pete did the actual work and they exhibited a high degree of competency and were pleasant to work with (job took two days). RPM's communication was first rate and they provided detailed invoices for labor, parts and supplies. Will definitely use them again! (see photo of roof of bay window and how nicely siding now fits around rooftop of window)

  • Work performed was completed to perfection. The front walk is gorgeous. The crown molding job required removal of some architectural details followed by dry wall repair first. The crown molding installed changes to appearance of our home dramatically.

  • Rick has done several projects to my vacation home over the years.  He is a very meticulous craftsman.  He's also very honest.  He has done projects for several of my neighbors there too, and all have been very happy with the quality of his work.  He also is very organized, and always cleans up as he goes along, and never leaves a mess at the end of the work day.  He's a very trustworthy guy, as I had to leave him a key to my house.  Since it's my vacation home, he was able to work on it during the week when I wasn't there.  I never had to worry about my house not being in good hands.

Projects he's done for me over the years:

    1.  Installed crown molding thru out the entire house.  It was about 800 linear feet of a 2-step crown.  He suggested this because I have 9' ceilings.  The largest crown you can buy is 5.25" high, and the tall ceilings really needed a larger scale.  To get a larger scale, he suggested turning a piece of standard baseboard upside down and installing it on the wall below the bottom of where the crown would go, which in essence extended the overall height of the crown by another 2 inches.  This created the right scale for the house.  He also designed and installed a crown treatment above all of the windows.  I opted not to have curtains, but blinds on my windows.  The crown above the windows and blinds gave it a finishing touch

    2.  Rick painted my entire house (it was new when I purchased it, and was "builder's white" everywhere).  He assisted me with color choices -- he had a eye for that.  I get several compliments on the colors.  They are muted earth tones, and are very soothing/relaxing.

    3.  Rick designed and build a deck off of the back of my porch (which is over 3 feet off the ground).  It is made of pressure treated wood for the structure below, and he used "Evergrain" composite boards for the decking.  He did a herringbone pattern for both the top step/landing, and the main deck, with three steps on the one side from the main deck down to the lawn.  He also coordinated with my hot tub supplier for the dimensions of my hot tub.  This was to design and build the deck with a "V" in it so that the hot tub would fit on an angle into it -- like a diamond shape.  The deck is so solid, and is low maintenance.

    4.  Rick installed porcelin tile on my front walkway and outdoor shower pad. Both came out great and really make a refined/finished statement.  He knew to guide me towards using porcelain tile for outside applications, which can withstand the extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).  Again, his experience and suggestions were greatly appreciated.

I am very pleased with all the work Rick has done to my vacation home.  I HIGHLY recommend Rick , and look forward to working with him again on future projects.
