  • Awful. Our first hint of trouble was when RP wouldn't issue bills for work performed 3 months previously. When it finally issued one RP stamped it "60-90 days overdue". This led my insurance agent into thinking I had been hiding bills from him. RP later issued bills for work it hadn't done. RP bizarrely wouldn't send us bills for work it had done. The RP storefront in Ocean City and the HQ office in Federal Hill MD continuously whipsawed us in our efforts to set things right. RP staff would not show up for weeks at a time. RP left a giant dumpster in our driveway for about 15 months with its name and phone number on the side. The joke among my neighbors was that RP was too dumb to realize it was unwise to advertise the name of the company doing such slow work. RP reps would repeatedly deny they had been sent e-mails pointing out problems in their work. One example: When we noticed that RP had drywalled over our cable TV outlet we sent them an e-mail suggesting they expose the outlet before painting the room. The then-project manager acknowledged our e-mail but when we returned to the house they had painted the room without exposing the cable TV outlet. The project manager then tried to say we had never sent him an e-mail pointing out the issue. This was a constant theme with a variety of RP reps. At one point RP reps complained that the 2nd floor temp was 25 degrees higher than the first floor. I found out that when RP dismantled a first floor HVAC trunk line it didn't plug the hole it left in the main duct. This meant that we had a toasty crawl space for 3 weeks during which I spent about $1300 in propane. RP refused to reimburse me for this expense. When they dawdled fixing the hole in the duct I installed duct tape myself. An RP electrician left 2 live wires touching each other in the control box which left our garage door opener inoperable until I hired another electrician to fix it. RP walked away from the job before finishing. After they removed the dumpster they left me with a garage full of garbage that I mostly disposed of gradually through weekly trash pick-up. Our final settlement was delayed because the RP controller balked at reimbursing me $2 for a toilet valve handle that RP was supposed to install but didn't. During the process RP assured us we would have a final walk-through with the project manager but they never offered one. RP folks continuously nickel and dimed us and constantly pointed fingers at other RP reps when things went wrong, which they frequently did. The woodworking and drywall reps did high quality work when they showed up.

  • We signed up for their annual program.  I am extremely happy with the company.  They were very courteous and timely.  They said exactly what they were going to do.  It was just a very good experience. They did an excellent job.  The price was very competitive.

  • I am very happy with them.? It is a local firm. The guy is a pro and noted other work in a utility closet that whoever did the previous work just tried to make it work. He did not charge me for the extra he just changed it.

  • The gentleman was very nice, looked at the leak, got a wrench and tightened something under the sink for 30 seconds and handed me a bill for $239. I have 5 properties and have NEVER paid so much for ANY service done on any of the houses. There were no parts needed.. There was a $79 diagnostic fee (Seriously? A loose nut requires a diagnostic fee?) and $160 for labor...remember, 30 seconds to tighten a nut. I did have a coupon and the young man did give me a small discount as I was speechless when he gave me the bill...but no matter how nice or skilled or professional they were, that price was ridiculous and I will never call them again.

  • Tony of Sussex Plumbing gave us excellent service and we will call Tony for our future plumbing needs. He not only corrected the problems and extended the water valves from the wall, Tony also explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. Tony had done work for us in the past and his high quality work is a welcome sight to see.

  • I could not be happier. Starting from finding two leaks in my yard that were coming from the main water line from the street, which grew quite significant to flood my yard, I already knew the pipe would need to be replaced. I contacted Service Today at 1130am Monday morning, had a comfort specialist at my home by 330pm (the fastest response I've had for any company I've used). My yard is quite accessible from the street, and would require it to be dug up to access and replace the pipe. But the complication of getting under the foundation and safely placing the line added to my stress. Within a half hour, I had an estimate to excavate the yard, remove the pipe, replace the line coming into the house, run it under the foundation, and connect it to my main plumbing. I signed before the comfort specialist could leave, and agreed to have the job completed. In my driveway, the comfort specialist sent all the paperwork and had the wheels in motion before close of business. By Wednesday, I was scheduled for the entire job to be done while I was at work Friday. By 0730 Friday morning, the excavator was in my driveway. From the time I left for work and time I got home, Ms. Utility came to mark off where the lines were located, water was turned off, the excavator dug up the yard, a new line was placed, yard recovered, and water pipe was connected to my main water pipes in my home. When I left work at 5pm, the job was done. For the amount of labor involved, and the urgent need to stop running water, I feel this was worth every penny. On top of it all, the work completed was guaranteed for one year, which was even better to find out. The plumber who contacted me when all was done couldn't have been nicer. After this experience for such a major plumbing job, I will always use Service Today for my plumbing needs. The speed and efficiency to get such a major task completed met my expectations, and I truly could not be happier.

  • I will never hire them again. I had them replace 2 washer hoses last year, $192.49 7/2/15 at $119.00 an hour for less than an hour. 
    Looks like they charge you an hour as a minimum. I wish my husband was handy.  Seem like simple fixes for a handy man. 
     The service person had no personality at all.  I told him that was a lot of money to replace a faucet and his response was " will you be paying by check or credit card?" This experience has left me very upset.

  • New refrigerator was delivered and I was told that the supply line for the water was no good.  Called Sherman, whom I had never used, and they scheduled me for the next morning.  
    The next morning they called to say plumber was on his way and he showed up on time - looked the situation over and dove right in to work.
    Altho the price seemed high, I was pre warned when I called to schedule what the hourly rate was, and let's face it, who wants to crawl under a house and work?  Therefore, worth every penny!
    The employee cleaned up and resituated the fridge, turned the ice cube maker on and went over the dispensing of the water and ice.
