Lawn Care reviews in Rehoboth Beach

    Jobe's Landscape
Terrible customer interaction!!!!! I will start by saying I usually only do reviews if they are good. As a matter of fact, I enjoying sharing good experiences and referring good people. I bet most people do because if it is a bad experience they don't want to waste their time re-telling it and having to deal with backlash. Angie's List is good at getting people to share their good experiences. Maybe some people's "grades" are a bit over inflated due to this model. I contracted (End of Aug 2018) and paid a design fee to Jobe to do a landscape design for my entire lawn. (it is a small area). He did a beautiful design, we changed a few things and paired it down for cost purposes. We also discussed breaking it down into 2 parts because it was the fall and I wasn't going to be around to take care of any plantings. It worked for him because he could to the hardscape over the winter when things were typically slow. They did not get to it until mid March. Per our (Jobe and myself) conversations, the plantings would be done in the spring. But, it was spring and there were issues /delays with the sprinklers, the fencing getting ordered and put in. I assumed we would move forward once these items were completed. At that point, Jobe was not around much. Little if any communication. A new person came aboard and I never dealt with Jobe again. Then enters Joy (one of the owners). People who had no knowledge of what Jobe and I had discussed were sending me new proposals with different plants, charging me for things that were already completed and jumping the costs every time a proposal was "fixed". It was so bad that I had to get out the proposal Jobe and I had worked on and itemize it myself with pictures. Even with a detailed list/pictures of what I wanted, Joy insisted her proposal was right. She did not listen to a thing her customer was saying! It was her way. Joy was very condescending, couldn't admit she made a mistake, got nasty if you changed the plan in anyway and just truly acted like I was putting her out even though I had spent a lot of money with more on the way. The cost of this project was pushing $50k. I had also signed up well for a maintenance contract. Not customer oriented at all. I decided not to finish with them and I am awaiting my money back that I paid for the second phase. I have 4 dead trees waiting to be replaced from first phase. Which was to originally be 8/14. She canceled said the trees were not in. But, in the next email said they couldn't put off replacing them off until spring because they were there at their shop. We will see. I think Jobe is talented and good to work with but I did not have the follow through and things fell through the cracks.

There was a lot of stuff in the yard. It was a property cleanup pretty much. There was a lot of overgrown stuff. They are organized, professional and clean. It's always professional, very friendly and cordial. The work turned out beautiful.

Country Lawn Care & Maintenance, llc, Lewes, De
Contracted with them to remove leaves from my property, the extent of which was ONLY vacuuming up leaves that I had  moved to the curb.  They did an ok job, nothing special or out of the ordinary.  The total time expended (over 3 visits) was approximately 2 hours (and I'm being generous about the amount of time).  They charged a total of $460.00, which far exceeded what I expected based on my experience with them the previous year.  Last year I paid about $100.00 less for the same number of service calls, and to remove more leaves.  I feel prices should have remained somewhat steady based on the decrease in transportation costs (Gas prices down significantly this year).  Definitely feel gouged...  Buyer beware

Joy, Tammy and the rest of the team did a wonderful job. They were very responsive to my requests and phone calls. The yard came out looking perfect, just the way I had hoped. The quality of service was excellent and the price was very competitive. I would highly recommend this company!

Joy or Jake come with thier employees (4-5 men) and assess the needs or concerns you have about your landscape.  They then instruct the employees as to the work to be done.  All are polite, quiet and efficient.  They leave the beds and yard in excellent condition and everything is clean.

Met with Joy and walked the property to discuss placement and plant choices.   She was very honest about what would work in our area and with the amount of water involved.   That meant most of my original ideas were out.   She spent a good amount of time coming up with alternates that worked out perfectly.  The plan and plantings were just what I envisioned and the plant quality was superior.

Jobe managed the project.   The workers were courteous and worked very hard.  There was a good amount of digging to be done on ground that was rather hard.

I am not from the area, but found the prices were reasonable compared to what we experienced at our primary home near a large city.

Devin was prompt and courteous. We receive three quotes for the work before we selected him. His proposal thoroughly described the work we asked him to do, his prices were quite reasonable, he did the work when he said he was going to do it, and he did a great job. We will definately use him again.

Jobes did an excellent job. Before work began, we walked the property with the owner, Joy Tomer, who evaluated the job and made suggestions on improvements.  We have never used a landscaper before because we were always concerned about the use of pesticides. We are strong believers in not using pesticides, and especially because this property is near the ocean.  Part of the reason we used Jobes is because they also are not in favor of using pesticides to control weeds and vines.  Because our property was so overgrown, it took Jobes 4 workers and 2.5 days of non-stop work to get our property cleaned up.  We were so impressed with results.  We cannot emphasize how impressed we were with the work ethic of Jobes' employees.  Not only were the employees polite and accommodating, they were some of the hardest working individuals we have ever encountered.  Our property now looks fantastic.  We continue to use Jobes on a monthly basis to maintain our property.

    Executive Lawns
Executive Lawns employs a group of friendly, professional people who perform their work efficiently and expertly. They arrive weekly on the scheduled day and and immediately set to work mowing, trimming and blowing debris off the walkways. They work simultaneously and within a short period of time, my grass looks like a green carpet. In the past four years, I have never been disappointed with their work. I have arranged to employ them for landscaping and tree services in the coming week.
