I called Michael Wilmer and he actually answered the phone on Sat Oct 27th and personally spoke to him and set up a appointment for Tuesday Oct 30 at 11am. I thought wow that is a good sign him answering the phone on a Sat. Well that where it all ended. Tuesday Oct 30 11 am came and went no call, no show. I called him at 11:45am to see if he was still coming. Got no answer and call went to voice mail. I COULD NOT leave him a message because his voice mailbox was full and taking anymore messages. I called again and same thing. So i sent him at e-mail that was listed on Angie's list site. As of this date Nov 1 2018. I still have not received a call or e-mail and any such contact from this company or him. I read the other reviews of this company but I had whole different experience. If he didn't want to do the job at least have the courtesy to call and cancel the appointment or say he not interested.

Patsy coordinated the finishing of a large portion of our basement including a full bath. He worked with us on the design, obtained materials, performed some of the work himself (with assistants) and retained subcontractors as necessary to get the job done. The quality of the work is great and we are extremely happy with the finished product. Working with Patsy is a pleasure - he pays attention to every detail and assured the quality is up to his, and our, high standards.

    Michael Johnson Painting LLC
Michael removed popcorn ceilings in 2200 square foot home. Every ceiling (exc 2 bathrooms) including closets had popcorn ceilings.
When popcorn ceilings are applied, unfortunately there is little care used in finishing the drywall, since they are just covered up anyway. After removal of the popcorn ceilings, Michael finished the ceiling drywall, applying at least one layer of mud to each joint/tape. He then sanded every joint and the entire perimeter of every room before applying two coats of ceiling paint. The job required approx 9 days to complete. The finished ceilings are perfect. You cannot see any blemish or joints through the ceiling paint.
Michael was always on the job when he said he would be. He is very conscientious and courteous. His rates are quite reasonable. We are very happy with his performance and will happily employ him again.

They were very prompt with returning phone calls.  The person who came out was very courteous and professional.  They were straight-forward and explained things well.  We have not gone through with the project as of yet.

Mr. Cicala was extremely responsive, calling me back on the Saturday that I first called him.  I sent him pictures of the project and he scheduled the work within 1 week.  He arrived on time as scheduled, and did an outstanding job repairing the previous job and reframing the mirrors.  The additional wallboard work as done very well.  We are hiring him for further work in the house.

    Pryor Services LLC
The quality of the work was outstanding. Shelby Pryor, the owner, provided hands on expertise and supervision of a top notch crew who had excellent skills and an outstanding work ethic. They were polite, prompt, tidy and paid strict attention to detail. The work was performed in a very professional manner and it was completed within the timeframe promised. Our living room looks amazing and we couldn't be more thrilled. Shelby Pryor and his crew are the best!! They certainly deserve an "A" rating.

Home Works Home Improvement Specialists, Inc.
We had a small leak in the attic roof, causing discoloration in the drywall ceiling below. We called HomeWorks based on the recommendation from a friend who had also used.
The initial visit lasted less than 1/2 hour. The contractor claims he caulked a few exposed nail heads in the roof shingles, and said he fixed the problem. It was difficult to tell as, of course, we were not up on the roof. The very next day it rained and we had significant additional damage in exactly the same location.
The roofer returned today, and again said he found the issue: a small hole puncturing a shingle- same location as the last visit. This time I asked that he test the and quot;fixand quot; using our garden hose- something I should have thought of the first time. The repair seems to have worked- no leak.
Payment was required on the spot: $250: $125 for each visit. I questioned why I was paying for the first visit which did not solve the problem, involved very little time, and resulted in additional damage to the house. This is apparently the business model for roofers: you pay regardless of whether the leak is corrected (Q: why would any roofer then resolve the issue on the first visit?!).
A few additional details: the location of the leak was visible in the attic. The attic is floored and well lit- there was easy access. I supplied additional lighting, a hammer, and the garden hose to test the result (as mentioned). We were ready to go when the roofer arrived- so no wasted time on his part. I cannot imagine paying any other contractor for each visit whether or not the repair is effective. Guess we're naive.

    HOME SERVICES UNLIMITED
We had had water damage to our house due to a leaky roof. I had the roof repaired some time prior to this fall. Rick came out and gave me an estimate on the drywall work over Thanksgiving. We schedule the work for December 27 and 28th because it’s our vacation home and don’t get to the beach as often as we would like. Rick was very impressive and explained in detail how the project would work. He showed up on Thursday the 27th as planned knowing he would have the work in our guest room done in plenty of time before our company arrived on Saturday. When he pulled the drywall out he found that the previous roof repairs had been done poorly. I could see the sky and obviously it was still leaking. So not only did we have company coming on Saturday but a storm as well and I had a leaky roof and drywall needing to be repaired. Rick devised a plan to make sure he could at least get the roof fixed before the rain and wind caused more damage. He then came back on New Year’s Eve and Day so that we didn’t have to give him access to the office after we left. Rick did a great job of sealing things up while our friends were there so they didn’t mind using the room. He did great work and we are discussing two additional projects with him. DON’T USE ANYONE OTHER THAN RICK!

We would use him for anything and would recommend him to anyone. He was wonderful. I can't even describe how terrific he was. We had three weeks to get our home ready and he was able to do so much great, beautiful work for us. He is very honest and just a good man in general.
