  • Dave and his team have been great. I had a fairly large project, all new window, all new siding, stair tread replacement and trimming out the windows on the inside. Dave and his team were excellent throughout the whole process. They did our screened in porch as well and it is excellent workmanship. Found a few other things that needed to get done and Dave and his team were able to accomodate. Highly recommend Dave Donohue! Trust me, you will like him and he is responsive. I am going to hire him to do our floor replacements as well.

  • Good start, so-so finish. Plans completed by contractor and permit secured. Workers and owner were on time daily and completed the demo, poured foundations, erected supports, placed decking, and installed new roof and shingles. Finish crew came in and workmanship was shoddy. Aluminum trim was not cut correctly, one screen had a tear, gutter and downspout placed incorrectly, and vinyl siding was replaced with odd looking boards. Owner did note that finish work was not up to his usual standards and gave a small rebate. Property owner requested that no work be done on ceiling, that he would complete that work at a later date.

  • Contractor moved supplies and equipment and began the day after the building permit was approved. While the original estimate to complete the work was approximately 3 weeks, the porch was completed in less than 10 days.

  • Rick has done several projects to my vacation home over the years.  He is a very meticulous craftsman.  He's also very honest.  He has done projects for several of my neighbors there too, and all have been very happy with the quality of his work.  He also is very organized, and always cleans up as he goes along, and never leaves a mess at the end of the work day.  He's a very trustworthy guy, as I had to leave him a key to my house.  Since it's my vacation home, he was able to work on it during the week when I wasn't there.  I never had to worry about my house not being in good hands.

Projects he's done for me over the years:

    1.  Installed crown molding thru out the entire house.  It was about 800 linear feet of a 2-step crown.  He suggested this because I have 9' ceilings.  The largest crown you can buy is 5.25" high, and the tall ceilings really needed a larger scale.  To get a larger scale, he suggested turning a piece of standard baseboard upside down and installing it on the wall below the bottom of where the crown would go, which in essence extended the overall height of the crown by another 2 inches.  This created the right scale for the house.  He also designed and installed a crown treatment above all of the windows.  I opted not to have curtains, but blinds on my windows.  The crown above the windows and blinds gave it a finishing touch

    2.  Rick painted my entire house (it was new when I purchased it, and was "builder's white" everywhere).  He assisted me with color choices -- he had a eye for that.  I get several compliments on the colors.  They are muted earth tones, and are very soothing/relaxing.

    3.  Rick designed and build a deck off of the back of my porch (which is over 3 feet off the ground).  It is made of pressure treated wood for the structure below, and he used "Evergrain" composite boards for the decking.  He did a herringbone pattern for both the top step/landing, and the main deck, with three steps on the one side from the main deck down to the lawn.  He also coordinated with my hot tub supplier for the dimensions of my hot tub.  This was to design and build the deck with a "V" in it so that the hot tub would fit on an angle into it -- like a diamond shape.  The deck is so solid, and is low maintenance.

    4.  Rick installed porcelin tile on my front walkway and outdoor shower pad. Both came out great and really make a refined/finished statement.  He knew to guide me towards using porcelain tile for outside applications, which can withstand the extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).  Again, his experience and suggestions were greatly appreciated.

I am very pleased with all the work Rick has done to my vacation home.  I HIGHLY recommend Rick , and look forward to working with him again on future projects.

  • I called Patsy in the afternoon and he responded that evening. Within a few days, he replaced and repaired the hose bibs and completed the deck work. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was very happy with his responsiveness and ability to resolve my requests quickly.

  • They did a great job!  My porch looks great.   I was always able to reach someone by text when I had a question or information to convey.  They were great at explaining what needed to be done, and why.    I have already recommended them to friends who need work done on their homes.

    • Thanks to Stewart Construction we were able to:
    • 1. expand our kitchen by two feet
    • 2.have custom tile on our kitchen back splash and surrounding wall
    • 3. have a spacious and customized outside shower, perfect for those hot sticky days after coming off of the beach
    • 4. custom garage door siding/trim which adhered to the flavor and heritage of our home
    • 5.front portico which really gave our home some definition and depth
    • 6. custom step into our sun room which really dressed up the entryway
    • 7. hardwood flooring which just sparkles and is a real highlight to our downstairs
    • 8. complete flooring in our attic which really added to our storage space

In terms of time frame and reliability, Robert Stewart always arrived when he said he would, completed his projects on time and was even willing to have his crew work in less than desirable weather conditions.
My husband and I truly love our new home and we couldn't be happier or prouder to say that it was due to the hard work of Stewart Construction.

  • I was very happy with them.  They were very fantastic and very good.  Actually they gave a little of a discount too.  They are the clear company to choose in terms of plants for an estimate.

  • Unmitigated disaster. They used old deck boards for rafters and flimsy half inch styrofoam for insulation. Refused to sign a contract but happy to take my money. Some roof boards don't even meet rafters and much framing completely not plumb. Avoid at all costs. Oh, and they installed footers without any concrete or cement support. The list goes on and on

  • I first tried to contact the provider via their website. I submitted a request and received no reply. I then tried to contact them via Angie's List and still got no reply. I then called their office, left a voice mail and still got no response. After 3 attempts to get an estimate for my new deck, I gave up and moved on to other providers.
