    Called on Monday, earliest Rick could come was Friday - which was convenient for me. He arrived late, however he had called and warned me he was running late, so no problem. Knew my machine and quickly resolved the problem, and gave me some very welcome care ideas. Cleaned up and was gone! I'd call him immediately for any of my large appliances in need of repair.

    I have an electrician come in one quarter and he tightens up all the fuse box stuff and stuff like that, makes sure there is no failures. I have, in the spring, the heating and air conditioning guy come in. And then in the summer it's either plumbing or appliance. I think the last time was the appliance guy.
    They warranty all the major equipment and if something breaks they replace it for you so you don't have to pay anything for the extended warranty's.
    One of the things they tried to fix didn't take so they had to come back. They came back, no charge and they fixed it.

    Michael called to say he was on his way within an hour or so from when I originally placed my call. He was prompt and professional. He took the various parts of the dryer apart, found the problems,showed me the twisted exhaust pipe in the back which he replaced, the lint clog was the size of a small melon and the burned out thermo fuse which he replaced. He worked neatly and the dryer is now heating, the vent is working and I did not have to replace the dryer. He also showed me that the issue of where our electrical box causes the vent hose from the machine to the outside vent to be wrapped around and configured which is why the hose gets crushed when we push the dryer back in order to open our back door. He suggested that we consider relocation of the box to avoid future issues either with this dryer or a new dryer. The issue will remain as long as the box remains in its present location.

    We have traditionally purchased our appliances from the big box stores like Lowes or Home Depot.  But we were looking this time for some particular characteristics in our kitchen appliances and decided to visit some local appliance stores.  Immediately after we stepped into Henlopen Appliance we were glad we did.  The store is owned by Amy and Trevor Vest, who will treat you well.  We expected to pay higher prices than the big box stores but were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable their prices were.  The best thing in dealing with Amy and Trevor is their attentiveness to the customer; they went out of their way to ensure that our kitchen remodeling went flawlessly.  We are really pleased with our experience at Henlopen Appliance and, given that they may soon be moving to a larger store location, they are obviously pleasing their other customers, too.

    The two technicians that came were professional, courteous and very knowledgeable.  It was the week before Thanksgiving, eek all of those dishes, they made sure the part was delivered and installed before the holiday.


    I have a St. Bernard who couldn't leave them alone.  He was sniffing one of the guys shoe incessantly, so he took off his shoe and gave it to the dog!!!!!  Got to love people who love dogs.


    Would highly recommend this company.

    I contacted RB Appliance Repair because my dishwasher had stopped working. They set up an appointment to come and repair it. Rick, the owner, arrived on time and fixed my dishwasher. In addition he even changed the water supply line that was dripping at no additional charge just included it in the service call.
    Very professional, friendly and reasonable.

    Excellent job, prompt and reliable. Rick explained the problem and that it was common in this type of compact washer/dryer combo, explained what he'd have to do to repair it and why and how much it would cost. It was easy to arrange with him to gain entry to our vacation home so that he could compete the repair in a timely manner, which he did in very reliable fashion and promptly sent an electronic invoice via Square that was easy to pay. All in all an easy, quick and satisfactory service interaction - it could have just as easily have been messy and complicated and altogether unsatisfactory, which it definitely was not thanks to Rick.

    I have a Residential MD home service plan and warrantee, Meredith's performs an annual checkup on my major appliances. The repairman who performed the service did a thorough careful evaluation, corrected several minor problems and even reset all my digital clocks that were off. The $150.00 represents 1/4th of my annual fee which includes an electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance call.

    Light in freezer would not go on. Trevor discovered ice in the bottom of the freezer floor (freezer on bottom) and it had frozen the light plunger shut.  He defrosted the freezer and the light was back on again but the diagnostic indicated a different problem than I had called on, that was not at all related to my original call. He checked it out and verified that there was no other problem.  He then pulled the plug again and put it back in and it was fine. The code error had cleared.  He did not take a dime for the service call, telling me to call in a few days to be sure the second problem did not happen again, this way the single service call could handle it.



    He said the ice in the bottom is an indicator that the doors were not properly closed at some point.and told me to be sure to run my hand over them to be sure they are closed.  



    I gave it a few days and called as directed and then they took my charge card. I was very pleased.
