AExcellent! Installation took about 5 hours. I just love the stove and it reduced my oil consumption by $1500 last year. It also kept me much warmer and toastier (always 72-80 degrees) than I ever would have afforded with oil. It does take some work hauling and splitting some wood. I expect it will pay for itself in 3 years, plus add value to my home.

DThat guy is a joke. He was putting concrete into the chimney and flue and backed up the whole boiler system. He and the guys that were doing it were not very professional. They didn't put tarps on the ground and killed all of the grass around there because of all of the concrete and the gravel. They didn't clean up anything. It wasn't good. He was low on the pricing. The chimney looks good now but like I said, all of the ground around it is dead. When they said they would be here they were here.- Terry M.

AShowed up when promised and went straight to work. Very professional workers and friendly. Did more than was expected. Explained what they were going to do and followed through. Would definitely recommend this company.

AHardy Boys Construction is an A#1 construction company. I had a leak in my ceiling after Hurricane Sandy in October 2012. Don Hardy responded to my phone call immediately. Don was thorough and efficient. He didn't want to fix the damage with a quick fix; he wanted to search out the reason why the damage happened. He was professional, knowledgeable and proficient. He talked to the insurance company and handled the paperwork quickly. Hardy Boys Construction is an honest and skilled construction company and is an asset to our community.

AI received plenty of estimates from many masonry companies. Some of the experiences with the estimates weren't very pleasing. Estimates ranged from $1000 all the way up to $4550. I wanted piece of mind with regards the type of professional I was dealing with. Wilmington Stoneworks was the first estimate I received since they were recommended by a good friend who also has done work in the masonry/concrete field. I figured he would know who's good. I got other estimates within a few weeks. I ended up hiring Wilmington Stoneworks. During the process they called when they said they would and showed up when they said thay would. Originally the project was expected to take 2 days but weather didn't cooperate on the first day so that extended the project an extra day. If you add the time up it was 2 days. Half day the first day,(rain) full day the second day and half the third day. These guys were meticulous and cleaned up everyday. They did the work right and were in no hurry. Very friendly and professional. One thing I liked was they, brothers Brian and Andrew, do the estimate AND do the work. When they were done, they cleaned up and the fireplace looked great! It was solid and complimented the exterior of the house. I will definitely recommend these gentlemen to anyone who needs masonry/stone/walkway/concrete work done.

BHAD THREE ESTIMATES AND ALL UNITED HAD THE BEST SALESMAN I TALKED TO. JAMIE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND POLITE. HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED AND DIDNT TRY TO MAKE UP OTHER STUFF MY HOUSE COULD USE. OVERALL THE WORK WAS DONE WITHOUT A PROBLEM. IT TOOK THEM AWHILE BEFORE THEY COULD GIVE A PROMISE DATE BUT TRUE TO THERE WORD WHEN THEY GAVE ME ONE. I WASN'T HAPPY WITH PICKING UP NAILS ALL OVER THE PLACE, AND THE MESS FROM THE RIDGE VENT CAP INSTALLED, AND THE SIDING SCRATCHED WHICH THEY TRIED TO CLEAN BUT U CANT CLEAN SCRATCHES SO THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO GET BACK WITH ME FOR THAT. BUT OVER ALL IT WAS A JOB WELL DONE AT A FAIR PRICE. ILL LET U ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY SIDINGS- Anthony B.

This work was a gift from my brother for my birthday, Brian came over to look at what needed to be done he seemed really helpful at that time, he was going to see what could be done about the screen in my fireplace, never did said he forgot to look in his catalogs. He did mention the electric wires coming into the house are by the chimney, but nothing about how they would keep him from doing the job. They did show up on time, bringing a radio with them. Brian went up on the roof and his helper cleaned the chimney from the bottom. I have had other chimney cleaners and they all had maybe 2-3 drop cloths to cover the area, I was a little surprised he only had one. He did replace the chimney cap, which I wonder if it really needed to be done. I can't use the word point because he just slapped the mortar on one side of the chimney, nothing in the front, there are gaps between the bricks, and it looks like he did a little better to the back of it. They were done in about 2 hours. As he was getting into his truck I asked again about the screen and he said again he would look at his catalogs, he never did check the chimney cleaning but they aren't certified chimney sweeps, after seeing how he screwed up the mortar I wonder about any of his work. I'm worried about using the fireplace and thinking about calling someone who knows what they are doing to look at it. I called him about the mortar covering the bricks he told me it would wash off in the rain! We had a lot of rain and that miracle never happened. I called him again and told him he didn't do the work he was supposed to do, his reason he didn't do it was because the roof is too steep and the wires. Maybe he's in the wrong business. The biggest part of the 800.00 for the work was the pointing of the chimney that he couldn't do. I said he should give my brother a refund since he didn't finish the job. He never called me back. My brother finally called him and Brian said he would call him back never did. He needs to refund the entire amount, I'm not happy with the work at all, and Brian Maddox doesn't seem to care about it at all. The last time I spoke to Mr Maddox he yelled at me saying we would never get the money back after posting this review.- Bernice J. -
