    My husband had an estimate done September of 2017 for 15 feet of natural gas line installed for a new furnace. The estimate was a reasonable $700.00 including all permits and testing. He had put the job on hold for personal reasons at that time. Upon calling back about 10 months later my husband was told they would have to schedule another estimate to account for labor and material price changes which was understandable. Jamie the technician and the company manager told him the estimate would take awhile, maybe a few weeks because they were busy with air conditioner repairs. My husband never heard back after about a month so he called again to inquire about the progress. Jamie finally called him and left a message that the $700.00 was not possible but he could do it for $1500.00 and said he should have done it last year because that was a bargain. My husband researched the cost and knew that the going rate for gas line was 15 to 25 dollars a foot including pressure testing along with permits. He called back and asked for the owner, Chris Buckingham to please give him a call at least twice and Jamie, the technician kept calling him back and when he questioned him about the price being more than double and why the owner was not calling him back, he became defensive, arrogant and challenging telling him he would have to deal with him because he runs the business for the owner. He kindly requested Chris Buckingham give him a call anyway and that has now has been over 3 weeks with no response. I would be very cautious of this type of business practice. My husband has since gotten estimates in line with the $700.00 from Gold Star plumbing as well as Sobieski. So his advice is to shop around. Good luck.

    The heating system and air conditioning system was not turning on. The technician found out that the thermostat was not fully plugged into the wall. I am glad he was able to do this but I wish I could have discovered this myself and would have saved $99.00.

    Tech found a couple of items we needed to know about, showed us photos which was great, not just his "say-so". Gave us a lot of good helpful information, not just about what he found, but what our options are for now and the future. Made an appointment for us for further discussion on what we may like to do. Wonderful! Very professional, very helpful!

    Shawn was great. Our boiler went out during the new year's deep freeze and he came out the next morning and got it fixed. It ended up being the internal thermostat and he spent the better part of a day getting it all squared away and STILL stuck by his very reasonable repair quote. Very attentive, stuck around for a good while just to make sure it was all working smoothly again. Will definitely be using again.

    Everything went as expected. Initially worked with Tony to get initial quote. After receiving several quotes we decided on Gold Star. Tony got us started and also worked to initiate the Energize Delaware process to receive rebates on the equipment we were installing. Everything was installed on time. Technician did have to work through an issue installing the humidifier as it was a tight fit but he came up with a creative solution and everything is working great. We were so satisfied with their service we contracted their sister company Delaware Plumbing Professionals to install a high efficiency water heater.

    Josh arrived prior to the scheduled time slot which was not a huge deal because someone was home at the time. But here is where the problem begins. He was here for approximately 15 minutes and had his tools packed up and was leaving when I arrived home. We began a conversation about what was the issues and possible solution. His first question to me was "How long do you plan on being here?" I'm sorry but we are home owners so for quite some time. He then began to tell me that I might want to get my heater replaced soon. Ok fine I asked about an estimate and he quoted $7500 for a heater and AC. Well there is nothing wrong with my AC so I'm not replacing it if I dont need to. I then asked if the heater can be repaired. He said yes all it needs is to be cleaned and you need a new thermostat. So I asked about pricing which was $350 to be cleaned and $250 for a thermostat. Now prior to him giving me the prices He said "Oh you want it done today?" Yes. (That is the point of calling someone for a repair is to actually fix the problem) At this point I am completely frustrated and done with this situation. He also acknowledged that the family friend I had at my was an HVAC person (Good to have friends around when you need them) could do the work for me. So I agreed paid him $75 and let him go. After he left we cleaned the heater, purchased a new thermostat(FYI The old one still worked) and the heater still did not come on. Which according to the tech it should have. Sooo we continued to investigate and found that the pump that pushes oil to the heater was not working. Now if Josh would have done a better job and not just looked at the surface problems he could have found that issue and possibly replaced the pump or scheduled time o come back out. So I am now out $75 for 15 minutes of Josh's time. Great job!!!!

    They came out on the weekend. The sales man was great. I don't have contract so they said they'd come out within the next few days but ended up coming within the hour. I have recommended them to other people so I guess they are pretty good. The workers were direct to the point and got the work done.

    The workers arrived on time and were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. The additional duct work was done very well, and everything was kept clean. During the energy audit they replaced almost all of the light bulbs in our home for free. I highly recommend using this company for any of your HVAC needs.
