  • I absolutely love Verizon Fios. I have been with them since 2005. Everything is faster and I unlimited everything. I am sure that the price is comparable to everybody else. I was having problems on Christmas Day and they came out the next day and changed the box out and I have not had a problem since. Their service and their response has been great. I will continue to use them.

  • I was in contact with them a month or so ago. I went over my bill to see if I could lower my bill, and they were helpful in doing that. I also like that if I have a problem they come out and do whatever needs to be done. In this area we only have two, Fioz and Comcast, so, I guess they are reasonable.

  • My wife is not happy with them.  Our dissatisfaction is with two major things, that their pricing changes all the time and that their realignment of the channels that we get within the level of pricing that we purchased changes.  We get used to able to see a certain channel and all of a sudden price changes so we can’t afford the channel that we used to see.  We can’t afford the packages.  About every nine months, we get a notice in the mail of their new channel alignment and in our package, all of sudden it would not have something we have been watching and they would have added some channels that we do not have any interest in what so ever.  The first time when this happened, I called them and inquired about this, I got no satisfaction, and the young girl on the line said that the company changed the structure.  The only way one can get anything out of them is by threatening to cancel.  When they installed the phone, I didn’t get my instruction manual, so I don’t know how to get my messages.  I have to go online to my Comcast internet account, access my messages, and call list.  I can go online and download a manual but it has like ninety-three pages, it didn’t seem worth that effort since we have other phones.  The main reason I got the phone was that it had free calling anywhere in the US and Canada, 24X7, and getting the phone in the package gave us a discount.  There is no call waiting service but there may be a caller id because when we call out, people have identified us, so I guess it shows who we are but we don’t know who they are, because we don’t have caller id.  Their infrastructure is so arcane and cumbersome and they are trained to avoid giving their customer what they really want until they complain enough to put me to the supervisor to help, I don’t see why I have to go through that.  They tell us that they would get somebody out here within this and this time-frame and then we end up waiting for that whole window of time.  All the service people that have come out have been very good.  I would continue to use them because I have no choice and I fear the effort of trying to switch over all my internet addresses from Comcast to something else, which is heck of an effort.

  • We were given a window of two full days when the maintenance might take place, with no hint as to the hour or how long it would take. They posted a sign on my door that read "Notices will be given out prior to entering apartments". At 8:30 in the morning, while I was still in my pajamas, someone pounded on my front door without identifying themselves. I yelled "just a minute" through the door, while I scrambled to get some clothes on. As I was in the middle of putting on pants, I heard a key in the deadbolt and the doorknob started turning! I threw my body against the door and reiterated, "just a minute!" so as not to, literally, be caught with my pants down. Once I had clothes on, I ran to put my cats in the bathroom, not knowing when the next attempt to barge in would be. When I opened the door about a minute later, there was no one there! I sat around for another 15 minutes before someone knocked again. When they came in, there was a team of three guys. I have no idea why there were so many of them. They came in and out, in and out, for over two hours. The constantly left the front door open, and at one point, someone opened the bathroom door where the cats were, and left it open. The cats didn't escape, but no one paid any mind to the fact that the front door was also wide open. They tracked dirt all around my house and were intolerably noisy. They made no attempt to clean up the drywall dust left on my floors from cutting through the walls. They majorly scuffed the paint around the new jack and access panel and left a hole in the kick boards. When they discovered that the access panel to the attic was screwed in, they sawed through it rather than unscrewing it and did a horrendous "repair" job. When they needed to run cable through one of the bedroom closets, they actually took my clothes out of the closet and threw them on the bed without putting them back. If I had been paying for the work instead of my landlord, I would have fired them halfway through the job.
