Beautiful job! Always cleaned up at the end of the day, timely, professional, courteous and reasonably priced. The attention to detail is impressive. I will definitely use this company again when we need more painting.

We were very pleased with the results.  Honest, reliable and knowledgeable.  They were neat, cutting in was professional, and they moved or removed what ever was necessary in order to get the job done.  They use only Benjamin Moore paints and do not mark up the costs.  I also prefer Benjamin Moore which I feel is superior to any other brand I have tried.  Fred and Karen had to match colors from another paint brand and the match was perfect.  I will use them again and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Karen helped us initially with the colors and gave us some good ideas and advice. They are very friendly and easy to work with. Any concerns or questions, they dealt with immediately and were helpful and professional in their work. The work was great and everything went really well.

    Pryor Services LLC
Mediocre. We were quoted a price of $600 to $800 and charged $1,000. We were told the crew would arrive in the morning but we were shunted to the afternoon. We repeatedly asked for a written invoice but have yet to receive it. The contractor did not take notes during the initial meeting and we had to go back through the house, room by room, to show the workers areas that needed repairs.
We made at least three requests for repairs to a chest of drawers that Pryor said it would farm out a woodworker. We have yet to hear about that.
To their credit, the workers were amiable, polite and diligent about cleaning where they left dust.
One worker noted that Pryor has been very busy since joining Angie's List, which probably has been a mixed blessing for the company.
We waited to file our review until now to give the company time to respond to our repeated requests.
          We have waited long enough.

This was the very best experience we every had with a contractor in our home. Freddy & Karen were at our home for almost 2 weeks, and quickly became part of the family. We were very comfortable leaving them at the house when we needed to be away for work or just to run a few errands. The quality of the work was outstanding. It took a little time to get on there schedule, but I would tell anyone thinking about using them, it is well worth the wait...

In November, Fred and Karen Neumann gave us a very fair estimate to paint the ground floor on our new house which we accepted and scheduled for January.  They arrived as scheduled even on the snowiest days and worked steadily with a minimum of disruption or intrusion.  After I made an appalling color choice, Fred and Karen helped us choose beautiful colors and worked an extra day (at least) repainting the affected area which also happened to be the most inaccessible.  They, occasionally helped by their daughter, did a beautiful job.  No streaks, no spills or drips, uniform coverage, lovely colors.  They were friendly, courteous, and we felt comfortable leaving the house while they painted.
We would certainly hire them again and recommend their services to our friends and neighbors.  Finally, the above cost of service figure also includes over $700 in paint.

Work that was completed was good. There are several jobs that are yet to be completed. It's very frustrating since my time is valuable. The only reason I would not hire this service again is because of work that is still incomplete after a year, and promptness. The work done has NEVER been completed on time quoted. It's a shame since work done is satisfactory.

His promptness has a lot to be desired. At times no call to say running late or can not come at all.

In our signed contract, all ceilings were to be painted, which they never were. I was charged for this service and paint, which as I said was not done, but being in Florida I was not here to over see the job being performed.

I had shown James the kitchen ceiling where the wall paint had been wiped off and left shadowing on the ceiling, and other areas over the cabinets where the wall paint was on the ceiling areas and that has never been resolved. The same thing happened in the full bathroom down stairs but with less of a degree.

After confronting James about my ceilings in the whole house never being painted and showing him our signed contract, he back peddled saying what he meant by the ceilings being painted was in areas where they may have been damaged and if needed repair and he should have had made that more clear.
It IS stated in writing on our contract that all trim, ceilings, walls were to be completed as well as verbally stated.
While I was in Florida, JD called me for more money to cover the cost of more paint he needed for the job. I gave him my credit card number at that time to cover the cost of the paint he stated he needed. (Note to self, never allow anyone to do any work while not there to witness it)

I had also paid JDHS far more money than was estimated. JD assured me his estimate are normally if not on target, over by a couple hundred dollars so in the end, I would probably owe less at final payment. I Paid several thousands more than the estimate.

I had JDHS install a fence in my yard which was a custom order so it was not returnable. JD ordered WAY TOO MUCH fence for the job. When the job was FINALLY completed, I saw JD loading the extra fence onto his truck. I asked him where he was going with it since it was non-returnable. He mumbled something outrageous, and I told him to unload the fence I bought off his truck and put it back into my garage. PS, I now have enough extra fence sitting in my basement that I could have fenced 1/4 of my neighbors yard also.
This is extra money I laid out at JDHS irresponsibility.

There are other things that happened in my home while I was having surgery down in Florida that happened while under the care and contract of James Dayton's Handyman service that was shocking to say the least. JD knew I was nervous about not being here during this entire process, and assured me my home and it's contents would be safe.

I entrusted my Home to JDHS and was assured no one other than the owner himself and or his father would be in my home if anyone other was working within. It was brought to my attention by the owner himself and his father along with two neighbors that this did not happen in evenings while subcontractors were painting in my home. I wasn't made aware of JDHS having anyone other than a licensed electrician and a tile man to be in my home, WITH either James Dayton or his father here.
It turns out, JD had hired sub contractors to paint, which I was not made aware of until my return home from Florida and missing items were brought to James Dayton's attention and the Milton police Department had to get involved.

To this day, a year later, my ceilings are not painted, hooks were not put up in my garage after JD said he would bring wood back from a job he had extra from, the hooks needed to be attached to a board. I am also stuck with vinyl fence in my basement that I'll never be able to use.

Ya live it and then you learn it. I've lived and learned a lot from this experience.

They were punctual, and they cleaned up their mess.  There were some things that I felt needed to be touched up and they came back and touched them up.  They were just very willing to please.

Premier Restoration was the recommended contractor by my insurance company after a tree feel through our roof. We are new to the area. I got one other estimate. I chose Premier because they were a preferred contractor of the insurance company and they had on the estimate they would blow in the installation. The other company said they did not have the ability to blow in the insulation. Premier did not blow in the installation but shredded by hand from inside and on the roof. Two separate days they said they would be there to work on it and did not show up or call. The painter could not get the paint to stick to part of the ceiling and it had to be redone (at my expense). The paint is close but does not match. They came and pick up a sample of the roof shingles. But when they showed up to do the work, they had the wrong shingles. I then gave them shingles I had in my shed to do the work. They say I was not charged for the shingles but the insurance company said I was. The estimate was $1200 but the bill was $1900. About 60% more than I was quoted. Only the insurance company received notice of this until the job was complete. There was a hole in my ceiling for 3-4 weeks during summer when it was 90 degrees. Overall the work was OK but the price increase, contact from the company and service would keep me from every using them again.
