Hvac Repair reviews in Millsboro

CVery expensive and was adding up higher and higher. Did not care for their pricing structure. Seemed high and unfair. A friend does this for a living and is stopping out soon. He seems to think that I was getting taken to the cleaners.- Kevin G.

AWe were very pleased from when we first called After Hours. The entire crew that worked at our home was very polite and professional. I would recommend this company to anyone that needed a heat pump. They do a fantastic job! Our new unit is quiet and very efficient.- barbara d.

FHe replaced the furnace oil filter and informed me that nothing more needed to be done with the type furnace I had. His posted price on Angie's List was $59.00. He charged me $75.00, and it had to be paid in cash. I continued to experience problems and found a highly qualified repair company on Thumb Tack. He arrived today, and literally took the furnace completely apart to clean it. It was totally gross...full of soot, rusted out parts, totally clogged nozzle, etc. His fee was $99.00, but was well worth it. He stated that what I observed him doing was what any reputable service technician routinely did. He said that he could get it running again, but suggested he didn't consider it the safe thing to do. After seeing the condition of the unit, I asked what it would cost to replace the unit. I researched the prices for comparable units on line and elected to purchase and have him install a new furnace. If anyone needs highly professional HVAC service, contact D.G. Luyster, Salisbury, MD. I highly recommend him. Kudo's is a fraud! I spent $75.00 for a $5.00 oil filter.- James D.

DAbsolutely horrible. details above. All I know is this is not what I bought from Angie's list. I have had this deal before and the tech did what the offer said. Not this guy. I wondering what is Angie's procedure when a company wants to do a deal? I hope this is not what is intended. I was very disappointed.
He was a very pleasant person to talk to, very polite, very knowledgeable. But, I did not see any of this in my service.

FOn June 16, 2015, I purchased a brand new Goodman 410A, 4 Ton, 15KW, Heat Pump and Air Handler with a 10 year warranty and 2 year service contract, at a cost of $7,480.00. The system worked fine during the summer months with air conditioning. However, as soon as the weather turned cold, upon turning on the heat, the system produced only cold air. I contacted Top Notch HVAC on Sunday, 10/18/2015, left message of heating system not functioning properly(no heat and outside temp. 33 degrees). On Monday, 10/19/2015, received a call from Top Notch HVAC stating that a service tech would be out to check on heating problem. Service tech comes out, evaluates system and states that system needs a new control board. Service tech also switched system to heat only and stated that I'll have heat while new parts arrive. Now during this time, the temperature that I would set on the thermostat was not the temperature that was being maintained inside the house. For example, I would set the thermostat at 65 degrees at night and if the outside temperature dropped below 45 degrees, the system would maintain an inside temperature of 56 degrees. On 11/19/2015, service tech came out and installed a new control board, evaluated system and stated everything was OK. I also advised service tech that heating system was not maintaining the desired in temperature that was being set. Service tech stated that he would check the outside compressor, came back inside and stated again that everything is OK. From 11/20/2015 to 11/22/2015, the outside temperature was fluctuating between 33 to 38 degrees at nite. Again, on Sun. 11/22/2015, called Top Notch HVAC, left message to have someone call me in the AM Monday, 11/23/2015. On Monday, 11/23/2015, received a call from the owner of Top Notch HVAC, Robert Willin, stated that I should turn on emergency heat and he will be out on Tues., 11/24/2015(Now, mind you when emergency heat is turned on, your electric bill sky rockets). Owner came out and evaluated system and stated that I needed two new thermostats(2 zone system) and that he would order them. On Tues., 12/1/2015, I contacted Top Notch HVAC to check on thermostats. Was advised that a service tech would be out on Thurs. 12/3/2015 to install thermostats between 800AM and 300PM. I contacted Top Notch HVAC late that afternoon, spoke to Lynn, Service Mgr., she stated they would have to reschedule until tomorrow, Fri., 12/4/2015. Advised Lynn of issues with heating system and she assured me that my problems would be resolved. On Fri., 12/4/2015, I received a call from, Joannie, Top Notch HVAC, stating that they would have to reschedule. From 10/18/2015 to 12/4/2015, I have been patiently waiting for Top Notch HVAC to repair, resolve, fix, and uphold there contract and equipment installed. This problem has caused me a tremendous amount of inconvenience as I have business out of town to complete and afraid if when I leave and set my thermostat to a desired temperature, my heating system will not maintain the desired indoor temperature!!!! Still Waiting!!!!

AI was very pleased both times. It is clear that I am nursing along an old system and it so wonderful to have found someone willing to help me do that. I know eventually I will need to replace the system but just got through two summers with no problems. I am so grateful not to have been pushed into believing that I needed to replace the system yet. Many companies just want to make a sale and are not so willing to help you maintain.- Maggie B.

AI asked the owner, Peter Berntsen, to replace the fan and condenser motor in my a/c unit after receiving an extremely high estimate from another contractor. I purchased the parts and Mr. Berntsen gave me a date and time for the installation (9am - not a 4 or 5 hour window). Mr. Berntsen arrived on time and was very professional. He replaced the parts and worked through some non a/c related issues to complete the job properly. His price was very reasonable and he did a great job. I would definitely use Koala Enterprises again for heating and air conditioning issues.

DI requested an estimate to replace a condenser fan motor and was told that they would not provide an estimate over the phone, even though I had the part number and the air conditioner make, model and serial number. They gave me a date close to 2 weeks later for the estimate, with a 5 hour window. The representative arrived and said I needed a replacement fan. Only after I repeated the motor had become stuck, the rep said I needed both a fan and new condenser motor. I was already aware of pricing for the motor, about $65 for after market, and $80 for a new, OEM fan, about $145.00 total. The estimates for the repairs were $624 for after market parts, and $704 if I wanted to replace with all OEM parts. I asked the rep to re-check the prices since it seemed very expensive, almost $500 for installation, described as less than 1 hour for an a/c tech to complete. I was told those were the correct prices off their price sheet, and I declined to have them do the repairs. I was then charged a "Diagnostic" fee of $89.00 minus the Angies List coupon of $25.00 for a final price of $64.00 . I mentioned the Angies List information for First Class indicated "Free Estimates" but was told it only applies for estimates for a complete replacement system, not repairs or replacing parts.
I am very disappointed with First Class. I had used them last year for an a/c tune up, and the price was very reasonable, and the tech was very thorough and professional. At that time I was very happy with their service. In the end, I purchased the parts and contacted another a/c contractor to install them. For the repairs quoted by First Class, I paid $289.08 total for parts and labor compared with the quoted prices of $624 and $704.

Sunday afternoon I noticed the furnace was not coming on. I tried several remedies but to no avail. Reluctantly, I called Arctic knowing is was Sunday, got voice mail and left a detailed message. By 7:30 Monday morning, Arctic called and said a tech. would be there between 8 and 10. Miguel arrived in a timely manner and proceeded to remove panels from the furnace and immediately noticed water gurgling in the motor. He attempted many strategies to find the source. Finally he came upstairs carrying the PVC pipe and told me to look inside. A bird was lodged in the exhaust, stopping the flow of vapors resulting in condensation and the water flowing back into the motor. He took the pipe outside and flushed the carcass out with the hose. He then spent an extensive amount of time replacing the PVC pipes, which were in a precarious position.
Excellent Job Miguel!!
