    MW Roofing LLC
Had 3 estimates and all were within a couple hundred dollars of each other.  Mark from MW Roofing gave me the most comfort level in what to expect.  We waited a little too long to get this done and he was very up front about the potential for replacing a lot of plywood.  He was the only contractor that got up on the roof and did a thorough inspection and he stated that the original roof was not installed properly which is why we were seeing water damage.  In the end, we had 19 sheets of plywood replaced, mostly around the bottom edges.  The crew was very punctual, courteous and respectful and got the job done in two days.  The roof was pretty much done in 1 day with a few minor details but I am sure would have been done in 1 day had there not been so many sheets of plywood to replace.  They also did some siding repair and painted our chimney cap which took them into the second day.  The roof looks great and the siding repair looks great.  I really liked how they draped the entire house with tarp to protect it from debris.  They were also very conscientious about our shrubs in the front of the house and our deck furniture.  Very professionally done.  The owner came by to inspect after it was all done.  He even went around the yard one more time with the magnet bar to pick up any nails that the crew missed.  Great company.  I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    A Parker Contracting
I needed someone to complete this job right after a major
snow storm.  The missing vinyl left an
area at the top peak of the side of my home where if it were to rain, it would
have penetrated into the interior of my home and caused additional
    damage/problems.
Al Parker, the owner, understood my concerns and worked with
me to immediately resolve the problem.
His team replaced the vinyl and tyvek the day after I called him.   They matched the existing siding and did an excellent
    job.
Bottom line ? did everything promised and did great work.

    Ceccola Construction Co LLC
This was one of two contractors we contacted through Angie's List for bids on this project.  There was a third that we contacted based on a personal referral.  All three companies were very friendly and professional.  They were equally responsive to our questions and informative about available materials, construction details, and timelines.  Ceccolla's bid was very slightly the highest, but we selected them primarily because they were able to start the project at least three weeks sooner than the other contractors.  We were anxious to get the job underway.  We couldn't be happier with our choice!
They started on the Thursday before Memorial Day doing preliminary work of removing siding and rerouting furnace, water heater, and exhaust vents that had to be moved for building code compliance.  They returned bright and early the following Tuesday.  By the time they left very late Wednesday afternoon the deck was finished.  The concrete patio was delayed by weather, but was completed about ten days later.
The job is excellent.  The finished product is exactly what we'd envisioned.  Their people were friendly, worked hard, and  an absolute pleasure to deal with.  We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ceccolla to anyone else, and will certainly contact them again if/when another project comes up.

    Dream View Exteriors
I went back and forth with them doing the job.  It was quoted for completion in five days and it took at least five weeks.  They would call in and cancel every day.  I would take time off work and then I would to justify to my own boss, so I tried to make them understand, I went back and forth with the manager and so on.  Bottom line is they are very disorganized because they are so many teams and there is no supervisor.  However, if I had to hire each team separately, I would have gotten excellent work because the actual workers know what they are doing.  However, there is no coordination between the teams.  They got somebody coming for windows, another one came in for siding, another one would come in for different things, and so they would have to stop and start repeatedly.  There was lot of gaps in getting the job completed because there wasn’t any good upper management.  The worst part is this happened last week when we had our first major storm and I have literally a waterfall coming through the new wall that they built for me and put siding in!  I am not having them back because they could not do it right the first time.  I went back and forth with them for a long time, I would call tell them daily and as them what about that, are you going to do this, what about this and that, and it was like I had to remind them or negotiate with them.  I am semi-technical, so I do have some background in some of this so I am not a typical customer or somebody that would say okay, just get it done.  I know enough of the industry to know what components belong in a wall, so I was able to talk to them and say, “Are you going to put that flashing in around the window?” and so on.  What I have right now is a beautiful looking exterior and then when it rains, I have water coming inside the walls and one can see it because the wood is damp and everything.  Unfortunately, I have to incur more cost to get this repaired because I have water damages.  I could certainly follow through and sue them or go down the path to get them back here to fix it but if they weren’t willing to fix it or do it right the first time, then I don’t want them back again.  This isn’t tiny stuff like leaky or damp, this is water flowing across the entire wall above your head, luckily it is structure outside, so it is not coming into the house but the interior is still wood and if it gets wet, it would rot and compromise the structure.  Technically, every one of those guys knew what they were doing; I would hand them the keys to my house but the problem is that there is no coordination between the teams from the management.  For example, we ordered seven new windows with them, they installed them and the new windows had three screens with rips in them.  They acknowledged it, they said they would reorder them, this was in July and we are still waiting for the screens, how complicated is that!  They promised me that if I paid them their last check, they would come back if need be and at that time of course, everything looked good, so there was no reason for me to question it at the time.  The only outstanding thing was the window screens, they said it was already ordered and will be delivered to me, and of course, there is no way to tell if it is leaking until the next rainfall, which we just got last week.  It is very frustrating.  They did a great job in marketing, they were fantastic at that, and they are fantastic as far as their workers go but the management and the coordination is very, very poor.  I am not happy at all but I actually liked the job.

    John E Steele Jr Inc
I contacted the company and they came quickly to give an estimate. I then had difficulty contacting them with questions. I left several messages over a couple of weeks before I received a return call. After I sent in the signed bid it took several weeks before the work was done. The workman was professional and did a beautiful job. We were very happy with the work that was done.

I contacted a number of companies but all except John Steele wanted to charge to come out. They were very professional and even fixed some roof tiles for no charge. Will use again for any roof or siding problems.
