    All About Lawns Landscaping LLC
Absolutely horrible. This company is nothing but a scam. The foreman of this company will make a bunch of promises and then break all of them. They took my money and ran after accomplishing next to nothing. Even worse, they crushed our utility cart and smashed our shed. They even installed our drainage line from our gutter on our neighbor's property. They will not respond to us, the BBB or a certified letter. We left a review reflecting their (poor) quality work on their Facebook page and they took the page down. We will unquestionably be taking them to court. The attached pictures are of how they left the job when they ceased all work. Nothing has been done since. *** Update*** Please see our previous review! Update as of 1/12/2020. Apparently the Owner (Erik) was kept in the dark for the most part regarding this situation. Once being updated in detail as to what went on, Erik stepped up to the plate and reconciled with us. Basically, Erik is a good guy. He made the huge mistake of hiring a very dishonest and deceptive foreman. This particular foreman (who by the way, has now started his own landscaping company) was 100% responsible for all of the problems that we had. From my experience with Erik, I would not hesitate to use his company in the future now that the "problem" is gone. We only thought it was fair to add this portion of the review since Erik rectified the situation.

    Cedar Hardscaping LLC
Cedar Hardscaping installed a rear paver patio and walkway connecting to our driveway in 2009. They used poly sand in the seams between the pavers, which when wet, provided a hard bond preventing grass and weeds from growing. The poly sand lasted a long time, but now, 10 years later, it was time for a cleaning. Alfonso and his crew power washed our patio and walkway and spread new poly sand yesterday (3/18/19). We were greatly impressed. Everything looks good as new! We would highly recommend Alfonso and Cedar Hardscaping for any landscaping need.

    LANDAU
It was about $700 or $800. The man showed up, he was the owner and he worked all day with 2 or 3 guys. I dont think they ever stopped except to get some more mulch. It was more than the price quoted, but it was more work in the price then they were saying when they started. It was furnished so many hours, which I thought they had done in that time. When I looked I knew it was not enough time. I wasnt unhappy with it.

SLEEPY HOLLOW LAWN CARE & LANDSCAPING INC.

What they ended up charging me came in pretty significantly over the estimate. He kno9ckled some of that off because he didn't think that I would be very happy, obviously, but it still came in pretty significantly over. Other than that they did a good job. The grass grew. The estimate was, I think, $2,300 and I ended up paying $4,000. That's after it was knocked off. Basically they were just wrong with their estimate. They were punctual. I would probably not use them again in the future just because of how wrong the estimate was.

    A Personalized Landscape
Everything went as planned but I was amazingly surprised with the owner's level of professionalism and honesty. He did not recommend unnecessary services and performed all work in an efficient manner. I have hired the company to perform weekly landscaping services.

    Sylca Inc
Before I continue I just want whoever is reading this to know that I don't normally give bad reviews but this time I have to. First of all, I hired Sylca for landscaping (to clean out the mulch, take out old bushes, add rocks and replant 4 Azalea bushes). I live in a town home and my "landscaping" area is very small. Sylca charged me $500 (which I found out later I overpaid). While he was there, he said he would mow my lawn and take care of the landscaping for $30 - I said sure. Within 2 months 3 of the 4 bushes he planted died. I called him up and he told me I was responsible for them (didn't understand that one but ok) so I paid, again, for him to replant the bushes. As part of the mowing he was supposed to weed around the bushes - he never did. Every time he came I either told one of the guys or emailed him that he needed to weed. The last time he came - sure enough weeds were not pulled. So I emailed him with pictures and he proceeded to tell me that he is not responsible for any weeds that are not around the bushes. I was like what? So I told him fine and to send me my last invoice. I have since hired someone else who is charging me $25 to not only mow and weed and landscape but he is also taking care of a tree that is on my sidewalk that Sycla never even touched.

The patio is beautiful. Juan Carlos and his son Jose and and their team provided a pre-work visit, and discussion of the project, and were extremely prompt to arrive on the day of the job. The work was executed very carefully and professionally and the area was nicely cleaned up after the patio was installed. It was a pleasure to work with Juan Carlos and I would not hesitate to call Sylca again when I have additional projects.

    Sylca Inc
Carlos & team visited 2-3 times to make sure we were ok with the various materials, and gave us multiple suggestions based on our budget. Ultimately we went with 1 dividing wall, vs 2, based on the cost, and we actually like it better this way. It was hot when they did the work, but they stayed on task & were very diligent about the work. About 1/2 way through laying out the pavers, my wife noticed there was a bit color variation from what we wanted, and so they actually picked up most of it, and blended it in with another lot. Turns out that even though from same manufacturer, some variation is expected, and it just so happened the 2 pallets were from different lots, so they pulled a bunch of it up & mixed them in, so the variation was more natural, vs. a dramatic shift. About 1 month after they were done, the dirt around the edge of the patio and run off, and so we called, and they installed sod around the edge of the patio (rounded section), which solve the problem. I attached 1 or 2 "in progress" photos to show the extent of the work. We are in the process of adding a pool, so the yard is in a bit of disarray. But the point of the recent pictures is 2 years later, the patio still looks great, no settling, no weeds popping in, so they did great prep work & it has been awesome.

    Sylca Inc
Juan and his son Jose @ Sylca Inc were TERRIFIC - I cannot emphasize that enough. They showed great patience and attention to detail in helping us with our designs; while making constructive suggestions along the way (we were very picky - and they delivered). They are a family business and it is apparent they enjoy their work. The crew was very friendly and personable; and the pricing was competitive. I solicited quotes from several local crews before hiring Sylca. Where most would not even return our phone calls, Sylca was highly responsive - coming out for a quote that night (despite many other projects). This is one hard-working crew! I do not often write reviews, but I felt it was warranted in this case. In short, Sylca is a business that you should strongly consider for your hardscaping/landscaping projects - I cannot recommend them highly enough. We will be hiring Sylca again for our next project.
