  • The schedulers, owner and movers at The Move Crew were excellent! I realized the next day that I had underestimated my need for movers and asked if they could help me with another 90 minutes of professional moving again and they were able to make it happen! I was so impressed.

  • Not well at all. I'm not hard to please, I just want what I paid for. The contractor refused to do the job saying that my driveway was bigger than the square footage I paid for and that I would need to pay $73.00 more. The service I paid for was up to 1,000 sq. ft. and my driveway is 24' x 38' and a little jog in the driveway is 4' x 11'. This is 956 sq. ft. where I learned math. He pulled his guys and refuses to do my driveway now. However, Angie's list paid him already. For a service that wasn't done yet! and now I have no recourse. He has my money and Angie's List's response is "Sorry about your luck". Pavement Management of Coatesville, PA and Angie's List - my advice is stay away from both of them. Angie's List will not support you if you have an issue. This guy could have come to my house and took a crap on my front step and I have no recourse - he's been paid already!

  • The moving job was a complete SUCCESS!! They arrived ahead of the scheduled time, got right to work, packed the truck in less than a few hours and had us on the road to my new location. I was so very pleased with how BOX IT UP took spacial care of my items by wrapping them and securing them in the truck. Don and his team did not disappoint at all...In fact , I would say that they set the standard on what I will continue to look for in a moving company. I definitely appreciate the fact that the OWNER was working side by side with his rarely see that nowadays.

  • I wasn't able to hire movers until extremely close to move date and Hopkins and Sons was extremely helpful and attentive.   With only 2 weeks before I had to move, they were not able to perform an onsite walkthrough to provide an estimate.  Instead, the representative asked me for a detailed list of items and the number of boxes and sent an estimate to me.  This was extremely helpful.  On the day of the move, the delivery truck arrived with 3 eager movers ready to empty my home.  They were professional, friendly, and careful.  They moved the entire house (3 stories full of furniture and boxes) in 90+ degree weather in almost the exact amount of time they estimated.  The main mover went over my charges for the days services to make sure I understood exactly what all of the line items were.  They then left ensuring that they would deliver my things to their storage facility for the next 4 weeks.
My move out of storage to my new home was delayed by a week, and with one days notice as I was able to reschedule my move with Hopkins and Sons.  They were super accommodating and made me feel at ease about the move.  On the morning of the delivery, again 3 eager movers arrived with my things in tow.  On yet another 90+ degree day, they moved my things around for me.  Even removing items that I mistakenly had them place in one room instead of another.  They were very respectful and careful of my new home and left it the same condition as when they left.   The same courtesy to go over all of my itemized charges was explained to me before I was asked for final payment.
Moving is one of the stressful things a person can go through.  The one thing I can say that I didn't have to worry about was my moving company.  They were easy to work with, accommodating,  and affordable.  I will definitely recommend them in the future. They made my move awesome!

  • I'm going to record all my experiences with Signature and you can draw your own conclusions.
A friend of my daughter used Signature and had a positive experience with them.  They moved the contents of her two bedroom home from Washington, D. C. to Florida for about $3,500.  This friend recommended Signature to my daughter for her upcoming move from Washington, D. C. to Indiana.  At the same time my daughter was moving, I was moving from Delaware to Indiana several streets over from my daughter's new home.  She decided to see if we could combine the move of our two households to save money so she called Bill and he came out and viewed the contents of her home and quoted her a price.
He made an appointment to come view the contents of my home.  The night of the appointment, right at the time he was supposed to arrive, Bill called and said he had forgotten he had tickets to a game and so he wasn't going to make it.  I had arranged my evening so I could be home for this appointment.
About a week later, Bill called and scheduled a second appointment to view the contents of my home. The night of the appointment, right at the time he was supposed to arrive, Bill called and said he was still working and wouldn't be able to be at my house until around midnight.  I told him that was too late for him to come.  At that point, he asked me to enumerate the contents of my home and I went through it room by room telling him everything that was in it.  In addition, I told him I wanted my mattress wrapped and I said I had a grandmother clock that was going to need to be special packed. He then quoted me a firm price of $4,500 for my move.  My daughter had been quoted $3,000 for her move.  A combined total of $7,500 to move both of us in one truck.
It took quite a bit of persuading to get Bill to email my daughter and me a written copy of this quote.  When he did, he wanted to change the terms of how much his insurance would cover in the event there were damages.  We got that worked out.
About two days before my move, Bill came by my house to visually inspect what I had.  So now Bill has both an enumerated list of the contents and a visual inspection.
The morning of the move, Bill arrived in a rented Penske truck and when I saw it drive in, I told myself there's no way all my stuff is going to fit into that truck.  Forget about having any room for my daughter's things.   I was surprised that Bill didn't have his own trucks.  I was really surprised that he thought he could pack all our things into that Penske.
Bill walked around my house and viewed all I had packed and said, "It looks good."
While Bill is walking around the house, one of his crew uses my bathroom.  Let me be clear, I would be perfectly OK with him using the bathroom, but please ask first, and when done, please put down the toilet seat.
Another of his crew is opening and closing my refrigerator.  Let me be clear, I would be perfectly OK with the crew putting things into my refrigerator, but please ask first.
The movers then started to load the truck.  Now visualize this.  My house is full of boxes.  I have a china cabinet at the bottom of my stairs.  There are boxes between the china cabinet and the door. Upstairs is my office which is also full of boxes.  There are also boxes in the upstairs hallway.  Rather than clear a path by loading the boxes and china cabinet first, the movers start in my office which is in the back of my house.  This means they are scrapping the walls in my upstairs hallway as they are trying to get around boxes.  They are also barely getting around my china cabinet.  I make a request that they clear the path by loading the boxes that are in the way or at least stage the boxes outside on my driveway so that they don't have such tight quarters.  I was told they have been doing this for 15 years and they know how to do it.
Alright then, how about when my desk falls apart as they are carrying it downstairs because they didn't take it apart first and then it starts careening toward my china cabinet?  Fortunately, they were able to catch it as it was sliding down my stairs.  At that point, I said, "Before you move one more box, you take that china cabinet apart and move it out of there."  They rolled their eyes but went ahead and took it apart and got it out of there before it could be damaged.
As they load, I notice the crew is throwing empty gatorade and water bottles on to my carpet.  Just leaving them there.  Some of the bottle tops were not screwed on well and the contents spilled onto my carpet.
Bill asked me if I had bought a bag to wrap my mattress in.  I told him that I thought he would bring that since we had discussed this.   He said he wanted everything in a box.  EVERYTHING.  End tables were to be in boxes.  I had the contents of all closets and cupboards already boxed before he got there, but I didn't have my end tables boxed.  I  understand why he wanted things boxed because things stack better AND he should have told me this when we talked, or at the very least when he did the visual inspection.  Fortunately, I had some extra boxes so I could box up those tables rather than pay him $150 an hour to box.  Next, Bill saw that I had some extra boxes and he asked if he could use those.  I told him those boxes were unavailable as I was using them for the end tables. Still, he walked over to the boxes and started sorting through them.  I repeated that the boxes were unavailable.
As the day wore on, more bottles were thrown on my carpet.  The wrappings from the crew's sandwiches were thrown on my floors or out on my lawn.  Meanwhile, the truck is now full and Bill is telling me he can't put any more in and all my stuff is not yet packed. He says he may need to leave some things and come back later with another truck.  He scolds that he can't believe how much stuff I have.  He says he way underquoted.  Really?  I told him and he saw it and, as I was reminded many times through out the day, he has 15 years of experience at this.  They arrange and rearrange things and get everything but my six deck chairs into the truck.  The chairs are strapped outside to the back of the truck.  I am ask if he is planning to drive all the way to Indiana with the chairs bouncing on the outside of the truck and he assures me he carries things this way all the time.
When the truck is finally loaded, they walk toward the truck.  I ask if they are planning to clean up their bottles and lunch things or are they going to leave that for me to clean up. They roll eyes.  They pick up a few things.  I am left to clean up the rest.
As he leaves, Bill tells me he will be at my place in Indiana 9 am Sunday morning.  On Saturday, I get a call from Bill asking if it's OK if he comes over Saturday evening.  I tell him, "No" because we have plans.  Sunday morning comes and we are ready for Bill and crew to arrive.  Only they don't and they don't call to let us know they will be late.  They finally appear mid-afternoon.  No apology.  Bill has replaced the most obnoxious crew member with a new crew member and that guy is the ONLY reason I give this a "C" rating because he was polite and worked very hard.
My daughter's experience was very similar.  Neither of us would recommend this mover.

  • They were prompt, courteous and professional. They brought dust cloths, blanket wraps, and all the other equipment they needed to move and prevent damage to contents or home. The very first thing they did was wrap the front door jams with cushions.
They disassembled and re-assembled beds and my large refrigerator (and no leftover parts!).
We had a storage unit that needed to be emptied, and we stopped there along the way.
When they were done, we did a walk through and they moved anything again that needed it, whether it was because of a misunderstanding or we simply changed our minds.
I was very pleased with the service, and would definitely re-use Green Valley.

  • movers helped with packing -- boxes were not labeled, items were thrown into boxes with no packing; the emphasis was on speed, not quality. movers damaged the stairs to my front door, lamps were broken, furniture damaged; the owner listened to my complaints and made excuses, never apologized; did fix damaged furniture after several months.; would not use this company again; I went with the low price and paid for it with a terrible experience.

  • The workers showed up on time, or a little before, and worked very hard. They were curtious and found ways to make the movie easier on both ends. When the size of the movie was too big, a second truck was dispatched promptly and included in the guaranteed price.
