    They are so swamped it took us months to get in for an initial appt. Dr. DeLuca was very nice however all that happenned first appt. was a verbal history. She ordered blood work, tests and exrays. but Follow up appt was not for available for ANOTHER 2 months.

    Days before my follow up I Received a call saying the doctor would not be in my appt. day. No problem I would reschedule - next available appointmentf? DECEMBER!!!
    Are they nuts ? THEY jphave to reschedule and I have to wait ANOTHER 2 MONTHS? No one to review a patient's test results for 5 Months?????? What if there was something wrong?

    This practice is poorly run, poorly organized, no professionalism. You can't keep taking new patients if you can't service the ones you have.

    And we have now wasted 10 months with this office and have never even had a blood pressure test! No stethoscope, nothing!

    There was a moderate wait in the waiting room, but none in the examination room. The staff in the waiting room and exam room were very professional, helpful, efficient and courteous.  The doctor was very professional andseems very competent.  I liked his patient interaction very much.  I moved to the area recently and was looking for a new ENT doc, and I intend to make him my permanent one.

    I arrived at the office about 10 minutes before my 10:45 appointment.
    A woman, dressed in bright green scrubs and flashy running shoes showed me into a room with a laptop computer, weight scale, chair etc. The woman did not introduce herself, so I have no idea whether she was a Nurse, or a clerical worker. At any rate she was trying to update my medical history since my last gyn checkup on March 1, 2013 with Dr. Tabitha Perry of Bayside Health Assn.. The interview did not go well. The woman's speech impediment / hearing loss made communication difficult.
    For you male medical workers (who perhaps are the ones most likely to come up with this scheme of efficient office procedures and cheap computer programs that replace the intelligent Nurse who wrote down my medical history last March: pay attention:

    After she had recorded my multiple choice answers, she took me to small room, the Examining Room. I was told to take off and quot;everything below the waistand quot;, to get up on the examination table and place a paper drape on my lap. (and wait for the Doctor)
    AFTER 45 MINUTES OF WAITING in the little room with a paper drape on my lap, I GOT DRESSED AND WENT HOME. The Office was deserted when I walked out There was no one about.....no one knew I was waiting! No one knew I had gone home.
    Something has happened to the BAYSIDE MEDICAL ASSN. during the last year! (see my review of March 1, 2013)
    Changes in the quality of the support staff.
    • Medical history as multiple choice questions chosen from a computer program! outrageous! unprofessional!
    • Taking the medical history is the classic way to get to know the client before the physical exam. (you knew that!)
    Women of Southern Delaware:
    Do we really want to have our medical records updated by minimum wage uneducated workers using an idiotic questionaire made up by some computer programmers in India? it's a cost saving solution for organizations like Bayside Medical Association, but basically it's just cheap. And it can be deadly to you.

    I have reported her and her behavior to medicare and my health plan I hope to stop this woman from hurting anyone else. Nurse Cheryl Zdana has no business writing scripts for pain medications..Her behavior made me think she is an addict herself. I am not kidding you when I tell you she went crazy in that office that day.

    Nursing staff thorough. Promptness on part of Dr. Aponte. Thoroughness regarding any complaints/comments and also regarding current medications. Full disclosure of blood work. Pleasant visit.

    Excellent customer service...she listened, examined me, recommended that I start a course of antibiotics. Gave me an Rx, which I took to the pharmacy for filling. Now, 5 days later am well on the mend! Thank you, Dr. Viola!

    She discussed the results of my blood workup. It went okay. She started me on Crestor for high cholesterol. She said my number was 177 I thought 200 was the start of high cholesterol. I would also had preferred other options like diet etc.

    As alway, except for the hour wait, my interaction with Dr. Deluca was all I could ask for. She fully explains my test results and makes recommendations on those results. One of the results indicated that I need a further test that I readily agreed to. The office staff is always pleasent and efficient and made an appointment for me.

    Did not see Dr. Viola. Her scheduler was so rude she hung up the phone because I wanted to pay full price and pay by credit card. Dr. Viola came so highly recommended it's too bad her staff is so unprofessional. I had an insurance plan which was unfamiliar to her staff (CareFirst HMO of Maryland) which also has an out of network benefit. Her staff person could not understand that I have this out of network benefit and can go to any doctor if I choose to pay for the service and submit my own claim. Her staff person could not understand this and after attempting to explain this plan to her she got frustrated and hung up the phone.
    So I will continue to look for a good internist.
    Another friend of mine called Dr. Viola and had a similar go 'round but about services. Her staff person told my friend and quot;Well we do things differently here in Slower Delaware.and quot; My friend and her family are from Slower Delaware and are not as rude as Dr. Viola's staff.
    Dr. Viola needs to get staff who can stand up to the same reputation of Dr. Viola.

    He is an extraordinary cardiologist. He is caring, thinks about his patients, and is a life saver. He is an extremely talented Doctor. There are not enough praises I can say about him. He is a once in a lifetime Doctor.
