    I had been having problems keeping the humidity down in the crawlspace below our house. We had a company rehab the crawlspace by removing moldy insulation between the 1st level floor and the top of the crawlspace, adding a plastic liner to the sides and floor of the crawlspace, and conditioning the space by allowing some conditioned air from the HVAC system to blow into the crawlspace.  All this helped, but the humidity level in the air was often times still above 60%. I got bids to install a dehumidifier from 3 or 4 companies, and Dry-Tek was significantly lower than the others. They installed a humidifier that immediately brought the humidity level down. They came back a month later and adjusted the level.  It's been 4 months since the work was done and everything is working well.

    The girl that answered the phone was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a wonderful first impression since she knew exactly what their company does and didn't have to take my number to have someone else to call me back. I wish I would have called them first! She made my appointment and they came out on time. The gentleman was so nice and they did everything they said they were going to do. They worked with us under the time constraint of the settlement. Everything from start to finish was impeccable and 100%. They were amazing and it's a shame more companies aren't like them. I told the realtors in the settlement to use them in the future.

    The owner of the company showed up quickly and on schedule. He was able to do the work quickly. The price seems high for the amount of time the work required. Also, I do not know if spraying the mold with a fungicide and encapsulating it is as good as removing the mold and then treating the area.

    I had this company perform mold remediation in my bathroom.  It took a good 3 weeks before the mold remediation team came.  The guys that did this work were good and professional but I am still having ongoing issues getting my bathroom to be usable. I have been working on this issue for 2 months.  That is 2 months without this bathroom. I have the plumbers waiting to install the new bathtub and surround but at this point, the construction part of this company didn't contact me until last week. He only contacted me because I was given the vice president of the company's cell phone and I left a message that I would assume they dont want my business if they dont contact me.   When he came he was confused about which was to go in first, the drywall or the tub. I worry about this confusion. I gave him the contact information for my plumber so he could figure this out. Also he said we cannot use green board in the tub area.  He said the green board is too thick for my surround so it will not work. He had no other suggestions for a moisture/vapor barrier.  I have seen enough HGTV to ask, what about that fabric material that is put over the drywall.  He acted as if he didn't know what I was talking about. He said we didn't need a moisture/vapor barrier.  I am concerned for many reasons but the most important is the fact that my husband has a mold allergy that almost  killed him a few years ago.  The contractor left saying he would provide me an estimate by the end of last week.  After he left, I went online and looked up the material that I was referring to and texted him the name of the material.  Further research I found another board material that looked like it would do the job and had all the properties that I am looking for to prevent water/moisture damage again.  He got back to me with an answer that he doesn't recommend that material because it has a rough fiberglass surface and he doesnt think it will work.  I had to have watched dozens of youtube videos in the last few days to educate myself.  Then I went onto the specific websites for the material to see the proper uses for the product.  His last answer was that he didn't think it would work.  I would like to have a firm answer.  Will it work or wont it work.  If he is not sure then why not educate himself.  I still have not received his estimate.  With respect to the cost., this was not something that homeowners insurance was going to cover for me. It is an expensive cash job. I asked if there could be a cash discount.  I spoke to the vice president again for this question.  He said he would offer a discount and change the invoice.  When I contacted the construction guy who was writing my estimate, he said he never heard of that. All in all, it is for this reason that I turned to Angies list.  I am really frustrated by this.
