    Joseph Groff was the sales consultant and was very patient for about the 3-4 days getting the deal done.  I had a firm price that I had in mind (as my ford focus SZVTX is  no longer made.  I loved that car and our relationship ended with crash that totaled the focus.  He got me a fair price $12,000.00 w/ car washes & moon roof included. I encourage you if you are considering a new or used vehicle go to Joe Groff, at the Hertrich Frederick Fords Dealership,26905 Sussex Hwy. Seaford DE be clear about what you want and GO WITH JOE!!

    They brought us gas about a mile from their shop and then followed us to the gas station to make sure nothing else happened to us.We have used them for about 30 years. I like that they are honest, thorough and upfront. They always check with you before you do anything expensive. They pick up and deliver our car most of the time when we are having service.

    Took my truck to them on a Saturday morning.  They immediately gave me two choices:  either wait for a tempered glass replacement from the manufacturer, or replace it with acrylic which they could do themselves.  I chose the latter and paid for it in advance so that a family member would be able to pick it up during a weekday.  By they're removing the window from the cap I could take my truck home and not leave it.  They took til the following Friday which was a couple of days longer than they originally told me, but that didn't cause me any problem.  And the price seemed reasonable.

    APPOINTMENT WAS MADE BY OUR SALESMAN. SERVICE DEPT. DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE BRINGING THE EXPLORER IN. MEMBER PURCHASED VEHICLE IN ORDER TO TOW A FULL SIZE TRAVEL TRAILER. NEEDED A CONNECTOR PIECE FOR THE ELECTRIC BRAKE LIGHT. SERVICE DEPT. HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF SUCH A PIECE. TURNED IT OVER TO THE PARTS DEPT. PARTS DEPT. CHECKED WITH FORD, WHO SAID NO SUCH PIECE EXISTED. FOUND SOMEONE ON THE INTERNET WHO KNEW WHICH PART THEY NEEDED. GAVE THE INFO TO SERVICE DEPT. TWO WEEKS LATER, MEMBER HADN'T HEARD FROM THE DEALERSHIP, SO THEY CALLED. SERVICE DEPT. HAD TURNED IT OVER TO THE PARTS DEPT., AND THE PARTS DEPT. CLAIMED THEY CLAIMED THEY DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

    THIS TRANSACTION WAS MADE AFTER SPEAKING TO 2 DIFFERENT SALESMEN AND THE SALES MANAGER, NONE OF WHOM RETURNED PHONE CALLS OR SHARED ANY KIND OF INFORMATION WITH EACH OTHER. FINALLY MADE THE PURCHASE THROUGH THE MAN WHO CALLED US REGARDING OUR LEASED VEHICLE BECAUSE THE LEASE WAS ABOUT TO EXPIRE. UNFORTUNATELY, TURNING IN OUR LEASED VEHICLE DIDN'T GO ANY SMOOTHER THAN MAKING THE PURCHASE OF THE EXPLORER. NO ONE THERE WANTS TO WORK WITH ANYONE ELSE IN ORDER TO HELP THE CUSTOMER. NO SENSE OF TEAMWORK.

    FORD MOTOR COMPANY CALLED US AND TOLD US WE HAD A SPECIAL $1000 REBATE TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF ANY EXPLORER. WE COULD GO TO ANY DEALERSHIP AND ALL THE DEALER WOULD HAVE TO DO IS CALL FORD MOTOR, CHECK OUR ACCOUNT, AND THEY SHOULD HONOR THE REBATE. WE WENT TO RICART, PICKED OUT AN EXPLORER, AND HAD IT PRICED. THE FINANCE MANAGER MET WITH US AND GAVE US A FIGURE SCRATCHED ON A PIECE OF PAPER THAT DIDN''T HAVE ANY DETAIL AS TO WHAT WAS INCLUDED IN THAT PRICE. WE TOLD HIM ABOUT OUR REBATE. HE SAID THAT REBATE DOESN''T EXIST. WE EXPLAINED WHAT FORD SAID, HE DISMISSED THAT AND THEN PRESSURED US TO TAKE HIS PRICE. WE LEFT WITHOUT TAKING HIS DEAL, WENT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP, THEY CALLED FORD, AND INDEED WE DID HAVE A REBATE. WE ENDED UP GETTING THE EXPLORER THROUGH THEM.
