  • All work was completed in 1.5 hours, including cleanup. Mel and his son know what they are doing. They also drill water supply wells and trouble-shoot and repair pressure tanks, switches and the like. I am very pleased with the quality of their work, their knowledge (which they were happy to share) and the cost of the repair which is very reasonable. I am happy to recommend them.

  • Bayside Exteriors was not the lowest bidder. Two other roofers bid lower. I went with Bayside because I am a good judge of character. The estimator Josh was an amazing person. The other estimators came across as not loving their jobs. Bayside's employees went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations doing things to repair my house that were not even in the contract at no additional cost. The owner, Andrew, came out to my house while the job was underway. He talked to me for about 1.5 hours while we both watched the work being done. His wife came out in the middle of the job and introduced herself and took photos for a commercial. Their Dream Team, Danny and Donny, blew me away with their passion for excellence on the work they did for me replacing my chimney cap with a S/S one as well as installing a new EPDM rubber roof over my porch and replacing a damaged gutter section. All of their employees are good people, hard workers and have a lot of experience... there are no slackers. Jake, the Production Manager, was on the job numerous times to make sure that everything went well and that I was satisfied with the work. The owner subscribes to "Do it right the 1st time!" As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." I am so glad I paid a few more bucks to have a wonderful company re-roof my house with GAF Shakewood Timberline shingles. Bayside is a certified GAF installer. That means that GAF guarantees that they will do the job right. They replaced all of the damaged decking - almost 8 4x8 sheets of OSB. They installed new drip edge. They applied Ice and Water Shield along the gutters and installed a self-adhesive shield over the drip edge on the sides. They then installed a GAF product instead of roofing felt that is virtually indestructible that goes under the shingles. They used a tack hammer to hold it down on the decking because button nails pop up and cause problems. Then they applied the Timberline shingles using 6 nails on the upper section and 10 nails per shingle on the near-vertical sections. The cleanup was terrific. The failed skylight was replaced with a Velux skylight and I can see the clouds again through it! Many roofers leave a mess. They did not. There was collateral damage, but they came back and fixed all of the problems pronto. When the job was finished, there were absolutely no problems left for me to complain about. I am jumping for joy that I selected Bayside Exteriors, LLC, a little bit more expensive than the competition but infinitely more worth it. I know in my heart I made the right decision! I am HAPPY! The standard GAF warranty is for 25 years and is transferable. I have done construction work and I have done roofing. I am a very old senior citizen and I am thanking the man upstairs for helping me make this decision to go with Bayside Exteriors. It was a lot of money, and you know I prayed about it before I made up my mind! At the end of the job, I requested a gutter replacement estimate from them because I am so confident that they will do a terrific job! In short, I have never had anything this wonderful ever happen to me in my entire life when it concerns home exterior remediation. Thank you, Bayside Exteriors!

  • Awful! The technicians were polite, and were kind enough to take pictures of what it looked like under the house when I asked them to. They were able to repair the issues without having to replace entire lengths of duct work. But at 3AM I woke up hot, and it was 77 degrees in the house - worse than it had been before the duct work was fixed. I called and left a message on the company voicemail, left my number, and asked them to call me in the morning. Unfortunately, they never called. At all. A friend suggested I try restarting the system, since I mentioned that the last time they shut the system down, they switched off the breaker without first shutting the system down. So I shut the system down at the thermostat, then the breaker, waited five minutes and then turned it all back on. That seemed to work. Then I called the company so that they could make sure their techs did not do this to anyone else's system, and to comment that they never bothered to call me back. The woman who answered the phone first said this was the first she was hearing of my issue. Then she said she had heard I called, but she had been told I would call back, and I did not call (implying I was at fault). Then she kept talking over me rather than listen to what I was calling about. It was more important to her that she defend herself than listen to the customer. She never said I'm sorry. I had to ask her if she would stop talking to listen. Twice. Then I told her what the tech had done, and that I had solved it myself. That alone would have been enough to turn me off of the company, but the owner just called me. Not to apologize for the misunderstanding, but to say "I did call you!" He said he did call, but the number on the caller ID, and not the number I left in my message, which is also the same contact number on my account. He did not say he was sorry for the confusion. Then he started to argue with me that the techs only turned the breaker off on the inside unit, not the outside unit. I told him he was incorrect, as both the techs and I had been looking at the breakers together, that both breakers were turned off, and that one was even labeled "Outside AC Cond." However, he continued to tell me that did not happen. I finally told him that I was not going to stay on the phone and argue with him, and that I would not use his company again. Then he yelled at me that I was "very rude!" Any company that calls up a customer that has an issue, for whatever set of circumstances, just to say "you are wrong" and not to apologize, will not keep customers coming back. So if you'd like to use a company that is going to argue instead of trying to resolve an issue, call Above and Beyond. Because the owner went above and beyond to ruin their reputation with me. Customer service is not their forte.

  • Patsy and his colleagues are very professional and knowledgeable. The patio was power washed and resealed in a matter of days. It looks great and is definitely water resistant now. As usual, I was happy with the results and with their responsiveness.

  • When the tech arrived on 1/22/16, I questioned him about why they were no longer accepting new customers and if everything was okay at the company.  I heard from neighbors the company was having problems.  The tech assured me everything was fine and they were working on setting up some new contract offers.  About 2 weeks later, I received a letter in the mail from Austin Cox
    that as of 1/31/16, the business was closed.  I tried calling on the phone and the message stated the number was no longer in service.  My problem is I paid in advance to have my heating serviced in the winter which they did after I had to contact them to schedule the service but I am also entitled to a service of the air conditioner in the spring of 2016 which I will not receive due to them going out of business.  A lost of $85.00.  I also had purchased a heat pump and a tankless hot water system from them
    o call the about a year ago.  The letter states to call the manufacturer of the units for any warranty problems.

  • David and his crew arrived when they were supposed to and were very expedient, considerate, and helpful. They first cleaned out the old insulation, checked for mildew, and any other problems. Then they brought the spray crew in and finished up.  The job took about 4 full days total. David Wilson, the owner, had told us that our wood floors were cupping up from the moisture in the crawlspace coming up through the floors and that with the new insulation it would take us about 6 weeks for the floors to look normal again.  He was correct. Floors look great. We purchased the service that comes and checks everything once a year since it is in a spot that I can't crawl into. The humidifier lets us know the temperature, if the power goes off, and the humidity level.  It notifies us by text message if anything has gone wrong.

From our sale saman David, who by the way came out on short noticed in the pouring rain after hours to explain the company and their services. The installer showed up within two days. I expected the install to take up most of my day, but he was done within two hours. Our installer Don, did an outstanding job of explaining the system. He made it seem so easy. I can't say enough about how happy we are with using Alarm Engineering. The best part......they are LOCAL to our area, making customer service integral to getting satisfaction. Lets face it, their reputation is at stake and I am confident they will deliver in that area too ! Use Alarm Engineering for your Monitored Home Security System, you'll be glad you did !!
