"The entire procedure lasted approximately 30 minutes. Everything went extremely smoothly. The technician was very professional and answered all of our questions" about our current system. He even informed us of new products that have been recently added to the product line. We have had our
system for 2 years, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to improve the quality of our drinking water. This one of the best upgrades we have done to our house! No more water bottles taking up precious room in our refrigerator. We have the best quality drinking water right at our fingertips. Instead of fruit juice, our 5 year old gets a cold glass of water. It is her favorite beverage! Thank you,
, for helping my family maintain a healthy lifestyle!

"We were selling our house and well water test failed. Testing company was more than willing to provide very expensive remediation.
we contacted"
instead. They worked with us to find a reasonable solution. We were on a very tight timeframe and they were very responsive and met our needs. Would highly recommend!

3 tips to select the best water treatment

Don't overpay for the wrong water treatment system. One highly rated provider offers some tips to help you choose the right system for your home.

Water softeners

Even if your tap water comes from a reservoir, chances are it previously passed through underground caverns where it absorbed mineral deposits. Water with a high concentration of minerals is referred to as "hard" water. It's safe to drink but can harm your plumbing and appliances.

Most people know they have hard water by the residue left on their dishes or shower head.

I actually just replaced my Pelican Natursoft "water softener" with an more-traditional ion exchange model.  I used the natursoft for a little over 4 years, and I can say it worked as advertised.  When remodeling a while back we decided to get a tankless water heater.  All the documentation indicated that hard water with the tankless heater is a no go.  We had to do somehting, but since I'm lazy (didn't want to deal with the salt or plumbing in a drain) and my wife didn't like soft water, the salt-free model looked attractive.  I too was somewhat skeptical, but the reviews I found looked good, and I know enough about the science of nucleation (I was a material science major in college) to know that what they said made sense, so I bought one.

One thing needs to be made clear - the natursoft system is NOT a water softener!  It contains a media which nucleates some disolved metalic salts out of solution.  These crystals, once formed, remain in the water, and still react with oils, detergents, etc. in the same manner as the disolved salts.  They also continue to form scale wherever water is allowed to evaporate, such as faucet nozels and shower heads. In fact, it's possible that evaporative scaling was even worse than before we installed the system.

Importantly, however, once in crystaline form, these salts do not stick to pipes, or in my case, heat-exchangers.  My tankless heater has a sensor to indicate when it needs to be descaled, and the manual indicates that for my water hardness and hot water use I should have had to descale approximately every 6 months.  In four years with the natursoft the descaleing indicator has never gone off.  For further evidence, when I installed my new softener a few weeks ago, I had to cut sections from the copper pipe on both the inlet and outlet side of the natursoft.  Both sections of pipe were installed at the same time as the natursoft, but while the pipe on the inlet side was green and rough on the inside, the outlet pipe looked and felt like new.

As such, if you want or need a salt-free system for some reason (low-sodium diet for blood pressure, don't like the feel of soft water, can't easily plumb a drain into the softener location, or can't carry heavy bags of salt to the softener), then I can unequivocably recommend the natursoft.  If, like my wife and I today, you want soft water, that feels soft on your skin, creates less soap scum, rinses cleaner in the dishwasher, etc., then the natursoft probably isn't for you.

He was very good but I think that he was pricey. The service was good. They did a good job and they came back for free when I needed a little more assistance so that was nice.

Great! I called Monday to have them come out as a 2nd opinion. Technician arrived Wednesday morning. He was way more thorough than the previous company I had come out, he tested inside & outside water. Then explained what the problem was -- I needed to have been adding potassium permanganate to my system. He was able to get a sales consultant out the same day to review my options with me if I was to get a new tank to avoid having to add this pretty pricy chemical every couple days to remove the odor. Still waiting to hear back on that but I have a good feeling this company knows what they're doing-- as opposed to their competitor.

Terrible. I went with
Georgetown Water Softener Companies Provider Name Locked
bc of good reviews & previous home owners recommendations. I've spent 3 weeks going back & forth with them, they've come to my house 4 different times, I've had to call & follow up double that amount. My water has smelled like metallic/sulfur since the day before my 1st appointment with them to come out for my bi-annual servicing. I mentioned the smell. Technician was very helpful, but smell was not addressed. I called the office the very next day & said the smell was still present. They said I've had to wait until Monday, they'd review the work order & send someone else out to check my water system. (I'm on a well, with a softener & iron filter tank). I get home Monday night to see a work order stating I need to replace the valves on my iron tank, $86 for parts. I called & asked if they completed the replacement. The office had NO idea. They wouldn't get the work order until the next day. I call the next day. He says yes, parts were replaced I called later than evening when I got home & water still smelled. What did the parts replacement do?? The office said they were incorrect, parts had not been replaced. They needed my approval. Yet, they NEVER once called me to ask for it. I provided my cell #. I was continually calling the office, speaking with the same person who could never remember our previous conversations. He would continually say, Oh yes, now I recall-- I called you. No. Every single time I had to call and follow up. Anyway, he said the soonest someone could come out to replace would be 2 days later (a Thursday). I come home that Thursday, water still smells & no work order anywhere. I called the office, 2 times in an hour to finally be told "Sorry, our technician couldn't fit you in today, he will be there first thing tomorrow morning". Technician showed up the next day (now a week after the initial visit) to replace these valves. Said he would need to have the system regenerate & afterwards the smell should be gone. The next day, water still smelled. I gave it a few more days. I called them the following Tuesday. Same guy in the office was perplexed. He walked me through how to

the iron tank again. I was without water for 3 hours!! Finally, he said he'd send someone else out -- again. Bc I might have to get a sulfur treatment tank. The next guy came out, he did a bleach treatment, said how something was "frozen" but the water should not smell in a couple days. Yet again, I wait a couple days. On Monday I called a different water treatment company. They came out yesterday, tested my interior and exterior water, turns out although there's a sulfur smell, there's actually 0 sulfur in my water. This technician told me I should have been adding potassium permanganate to my system & it would be eliminating the smell. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!??? After 4 house visits and countless calls to

, not once did they mention this!!!??? Horrible company. Idiots. Unorganized. Never using th again.

Our old unit (over 21 years old) hadn't worked properly (or at all) for some time so when I saw the great reviews for
Georgetown Water Softener Companies Provider Name Locked
I decided to give them a call. Discussed with
Georgetown Water Softener Companies Provider Name Locked
about having someone come out and look at the current softener but we decided it wasn't worth the time and money and went with a new, more efficient, metered unit (WS-32) that senses when it should regenerate rather then just doing it whenever time it is set to.
The installer, Bill, was prompt and very friendly as well as professional, knowledgeable and efficient.
I would highly recommend this company and their great LOCAL products.

was professional and courteous. Filter replacement was quick and easy. He also checked the water pressure reducing valve outside and let us know that it was not working and it should be fixed, whether by them or someone else. Not something we would have otherwise known, so we are glad he checked this. We did call a plumber to replace the valve a few days later.

the service was efficient, and the cost was less than half of the people who used to service our unit. I stopped using the other service long ago, because I felt that they were overcharging. Pure Flo does not tell you you need filter changes every six months like the other service did. All around a much more honest way of doing business. I will recommend them.
