    I had the truck trailered and dropped off on Friday morning at 9 AM. I received an update call from Mary at 2:30 PM concerning the details of the work needed. She provided me with the estimated cost of the transmission cooler line repair and said that the rear brake line had to be fabricated by a jobber and wouldn't be ready until Monday morning. She said the truck would probably be ready sometime on Monday. She could not quote a price on the rear brake line because it was dependent on the cost of fabrication. Dan called me at 1:40 PM on Monday to say that the work was done. He explained what was done and provided me with the total cost. Dan mentioned some other things that need to be done that I am putting off until later on. I picked up the truck and it runs great. I have been taking my truck to them for various service needs for the past 10 years and I have always been satisfied with the quality of their service as well as their reasonable pricing.

    Fast, quality work. They called twice to update us about the status. I asked them about rough shifting from 2nd to 3rd. They directed me to a shop that specializes in transmissions. Honest, straight forward guys. A good experience.

    It went excellent, The service dept was very professional and during the diagnosis the auto tech found the problem and the diagnosis price was dropped by 70 dollars

    Wow, what a great experience. I just needed my headlights to be aimed lower and after going to four local garages these fine people took care of my problem in 10 minutes, no wait. They even helped me with my dogs because the mechanic was scared of them! LOL

    I've been having my cars detailed for year and this is one of the best experiences I've had yet. I drove 35 minutes to have my car detailed by these guys and I won't hesitate to bring it back. My car is a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu so nothing fancy, but I have kids and it takes a real beating. All the stains were removed from the seats- completely! When I got the car back, I expected to see that some of the stains in the seats from the car seats would still be there, but they were go. The inside looked completely brand new, exactly like the day I bought it. The exterior was cleaned and polished ot perfection. Johnathan took the time to explain a number of products to me to help resist stains in the future and protect the outside. This means he would see me less, so no real benefit for him, but great customer service in my opinion. Highly recommended for anyone looking to have great work done by a great company.

    They had to keep my car a day longer, so I had to rent a car for another day and they paid for the second day.  They were very friendly, wrote everything down before I left the car and committed myself.  They were very accommodating; I misunderstood exactly what was going to be done, but he did what he said he would do and I will use them again in the future.

    My car broke down while I was driving home from work. When I called AAA for a tow, they asked me where I would like to be towed and suggested In and Out Tires, the nearest AAA-approved shop. Since it was a Saturday evening, they towed it for me and I called In and Out Tires on Monday morning. They told me they would diagnose it and that they charged a $90 diagnostic fee. My hands were kind of tied (the car didn't run) so I told them to go ahead and let me know what they found. I learned later--and this is apparently not terribly uncommon--that unlike in my previous experiences with auto repair shops, In and Out does not waive the diagnostic fee if you have them do the work. Anyway, they called me to let me know that my car needed a fuel line and filter. Actually, they called my mom (who was at the home number) first. They let us know that it was also possible the fuel pump was burnt out and would need to be replaced. Both my mom and I asked how much the fuel pump replacement might cost. The manager answered that there she had (in her words) "no way of knowing." Later that afternoon, I called to find out what had happened. Apparently they had replaced the fuel filter and line (at a cost of $300) but this didn't solve the problem. They would need to replace the burnt-out fuel pump at a cost of $700 additional. We immediately were suspicious of this amount and I did not authorize the work. I called Pep Boys in Dover to get an estimate for the same work; they would charge $500, the amount that In and Out was asking for the part alone. When we questioned the In and Out manager on the price, she acted surprised we had AAA (despite the sticker on my car and the fact I had mentioned them towing it in) but informed us they provided a 10% discount to AAA members. Upset that they failed to provide us with an estimate of the fuel pump's cost before doing $300 worth of work that essentially amounted to a crapshoot, we tried to contact the owner. My mother spoke to him, and he said he would not waive the diagnostic fee or reduce the price. We then complained through AAA. Nearly a week later, the owner offered to reduce the diagnostic fee to $45 if we had the work done there and waive the $25/day storage fee. Since we never signed any papers or were informed of any storage fee, the mention of it seemed a tad preposterous. We decided to go to a local auto parts store instead and get their recommendation for a local mechanic. They directed us to a mechanic that would do the work (and buy the part) for around $325. We paid In and Out our AAA-discouted rate of $285 and had the car towed to the new mechanic's garage. As it turned out, In and Out's mechanics had not attached the fuel line correctly (using a sealant improperly), causing it to leak out when our new mechanic was checking the vehicle prior to doing work. He repaired this for an addition $35, a charge which we attribute to In and Out's less-than-careful work. Neither I nor my family will be bringing our vehicles to In and Out again.
