How to lose money and potential business in less than 20 seconds by the owner of the business. My driveway is in major repair. At one time it had gravel through out the back of the house. Over time grass and dirt has covered it up. I wanted a small job completed first so as to see your work ethic, and cost. I called your business and was answered by voice mail. I get it. You're a small business, and have no real staff. You call it a cost savings. I call it small time and possible red flag. I don't have time to leave a message. You called back. As I explain the initial project, you cut me off and tell me you would be wasting your time and energy because of it. You also tell me your service would be "way too expensive for such a small project." "What you really need to do is call a landscaper and get them to deliver some gravel and do it yourself, " you said. "I'm being honest, " you said. I appreciate your honesty. Most construction businesses would jump at late Fall business no matter how big or small. A good business owner would see this as a opportunity to "explore more business" from a client." I'm not an expert at your business, but I call you as an "expert" and learned you really have no business being in business. I gave you "C" because at least you called back and gave a flimsy reason why you didn't want to work today.

It was a beautiful job. She had some difficulty with her machinery on the first day, but she got it repaired and came back early the next day to do the job. She was very responsive, and when I told her we needed it done ASAP, she was happy to oblige.

A+. I had a complete driveway replacement (1200 ft2). Isaac of White's Paving provided a very competitive price. Now that the job is complete I couldn't be happier with the overall quality and workmanship of his crew. These guys know how to lay asphalt! Job included complete tear-out, extension, then 2 layers (1 base and 1 finish) asphalt. Showed up as promised, crew very respectful of property etc... and all were hard working and did a great job. They even cut a brick walk interface so it 'look good'. If you're looking for a paving job be sure to give Isaac a call. They do great work at competitive pricing. You will be pleased.

    Alex Evans Asphalt Paving LLC
We have had 2 asphalt driveways: The original when the house was built in 1971 and one put on top of that 20+ years ago. It was now loaded with cracks, which I tried to fill, but they reopened (even wider) after every winter. The asphalt had obviously lost its flexibility/was brittle, so it was time for a new driveway. I checked Angie's list for highly rated contractors and ultimately landed on Alex Evans Asphalt Paving. I contacted Alex about doing the driveway. He came to look at it the next day, explained what he would do in detail, and what it would cost. I liked the "cut of his jib" so said "Go!" His crew showed up at 8:30am the next day and the job was completed by 1:00pm today (I'm writing this only a few hours after the job was done). Alex anticipated that the foundation (the original driveway) was probably sound and, after skiving off the old 2nd driveway, deemed it so. So what we got was a cover-over of the original driveway. It looks fabulous, and we're very happy with the end result and with our interaction with the contractor.

Jesse came out within a day of my initial contact and provided a written estimate on the spot. Although I had at least one previous estimate that was a bit lower, I wanted the job done right. Jesse gave me the confidence that it would be. Alex and his crew were right on time on the day the job was to be done. After they began work, they discovered that a previous coat of overlay had been incorrectly applied and might lead to early cracking of a new layer over it. Alex offered the option to go ahead as originally planned with the understanding that the new driveway might not last as long or to tear out all of the existing driveway at higher cost and put down all new material. After a short discussion, we were able to agree on what I considered a reasonable additional cost and so approved putting down all new material. It's only been a day, but the driveway looks great and we hope to get many years of good use out of it. I don't hesitate to recommend Alex Evans Paving.

All American Paving & Sealcoating LLC
The work was done yesterday - the driveway needed to be torn up and replaced entirely. 4-5 men tore it up, cleaning as they went, and then laid down 2.5 inches of compacted asphalt. We watched them as they worked (we were burned a few years ago by a "drive-by" contractor who had "extra" asphalt) and they were very careful every step of the way. They cut no corners. They took the time to lay some Belgian block and paved right up to it for a clean look. They cleaned up after themselves and it looks like they were never even there - EXCEPT FOR our brand new, BEAUTIFUL driveway!! Overall, we are thrilled with All American Paving, and with George. We like to give referrals when a contractor does a great job, and I cannot recommend George enough.....My only complaint is that Angie's List does not offer an A+ in every category!

    AB Contracting

They arrived on time and cleaned the driveway thoroughly before spraying the asphalt.

The result was excellent: They sprayed evenly and were careful not to overspray so that the edges were sharp where the driveway contacted the house.

When they had finished the driveway looked as good as new. The cars were back on the driveway 24 hours after spraying.

When my neighbor saw the result he asked AB Contractors to do his driveway too!

They did a very good job for a great price. Showed up on time and finished well before I thought they would. Cleaned up well.

The owner was on the job most of the time.

I didn?t know KLS did driveway resealing as well as the other things they do?I like what they did with my landscaping
so I gave them a try?.They used the sealant used on airport runways which is 10 times better then the liquid tar most
contractors spray down that looks like crap in a year and since they guy put it down with a squeegee it didn?t get all over
    my grass.
I?m VERY satisfied, they used a BETTER sealer & KLS was CHEAPER then the guys that put tar down & are done
in 20 minutes??It took the guy 2 hours but it was DONE RIGHT! It cost me $120 for my average size driveway??.
Some may cost more & some may cost lees according to how big the driveway is & what kind of shape it?s in. I was
on my tools for 35 years and was a boss for 10 years so I?m no stranger to maintenance & construction projects.

Jessie "the estimator", gave me the best quote of the vendors I selected.  She told me what was going to happen, how it would happen, and then also made suggestions.  By the time she was done, I only had a minimal amount of questions.  My wife commended the crew's on their professionalism and courtesy.  The work looks great.
The only reason I gave a C for professionalism instead of an A was that the crew foreman, we assume, (who only showed up after the work was done) didn't want to accept my prewritten check addressed to "Evans Paving" on it.  After she refused to write one to a different payee, he accepted it and left.
