  • Jordin was great. Since you meet this guy you get the sense of his professionalism. His work is very neat and clean. He used the appropriate materials to cover my furniture and the floor. Overal, I would recommend him no doubt. I will definitely contact him next time I need any work done in my house.

  • I had just purchased my house in November and during closing the seller mentioned that "if the gutters aren't kept clean, a little water comes in in the corner of the family room downstairs".  Really?  Now you mention this! So we had a few days of rain and the sump pump went off a few times and next thing I know there is water in the corner of the finished basement.  I was sure there was a bigger problem than I could see and called Morgan.  He came out within a day or two and showed me areas in the basement that didn't have paneling that had black mold growing on it. He also said that the water coming in wasn't from the gutters.  It was ground water coming in the bottom of the basement and washing dirt in with it.  The basement already had a sump pump and a partial french drain already.  He pointed out that the piping they used, the black piping, would clog and they no longer use that.  He also said that the drain should go around the entire basement and have 2 clean outs and another sump pump.  The existing drain would have to be jackhammered up and the old pipe removed and completely redone. They couldn't attach the PVC pipe they use now to the black pipe and he wouldn't anyway because the black pipe clogs.   They would take down the exterior walls and remove any mold that might be there.  I had a bad feeling about this basement from the beginning and agreed to have it done.  He started the very next day.  They put plastic up to keep the dust and mold spores out of the house and started removing the walls.  They also kept a machine going the entire time to keep the mold spores from contaminating any further. The walls were, quite literally, covered in black mold from floor to windows behind the paneling.  Even the interior walls that divided the rooms had to come down.  They weren't as bad.  The mold was only about 2 feet up those walls.  They removed a basement window and everything was taken directly outside.  Nothing was taken through my house.  It took them a day to remove the paneling and sheetrock.  The next day they jackhammered for a full day and the next day for a 1/2 day and they started laying the pipe.  They discovered that the pre existing drain was clogged on one side.  Whoever had installed it had done an okay job up to a point.  There was one section where we can only assume they ran out of gravel and threw dirt on top on the pipe.  It was in this section that it was clogged.  I had noticed that water never did come in the sump pump on that side.  I watch everything they did and they did a very nice job of installation.  Everything was done exactly as it was supposed to be done. They drilled holes in the block wall to allow the wall to drain and put mirror drain along the wall so it would not clog up.   They even put a layer of plastic on top of the gravel to help keep the cement from cracking after it was poured. The next day they came in and scraped the block wall and treated the walls with a mixture of bleach and peroxide.  They also painted the wall twice with Zinsser paint.  The guarantee I was given was also transferable.  So if I ever sell the house, they are covered under my guarantee.  They will also come back the first 2 years and flush my system out for free if I want them to.  I had waited to put a review online until we really had a hard rain.  Last night it was a downpour.  You could hardly see outside it was raining so hard. It went on for hours.  The sump pump went off every 3 minutes.  I was timing it.  This morning it was every 9 minutes.  Now it's far less. I also found out from a neighbor that the houses were built on top of an underground spring.  A little something else the owner neglected to mention. The sump pump he installed is MUCH quieter than the one that was there.  The one that is there can be heard throughout the entire house when it goes off.  You have to be standing next to the one he installed to hear it.  I had a water backup on my original sump pump and asked it we could put one on the second one.  Jim said "no" because with both of them going off I wouldn't have water pressure.  So he put a battery backup on the second one.  I had a plumber in who was talking about the sump pumps and he looked at the battery backup and said "Oh, this is a Marine battery.  They are good batteries.  They last quite a while. He did good by you".  So all in all, I was very pleased with the job.  Just be aware, if you have a french drain installed and have to have walls taken down figure in the price of an electrician to put all your outlets back on the walls because once the walls come down you're left with wires and outlets hanging everywhere.  That cost me an additional $800.00.  Every time I had a question or had to contact Jim he either answered immediately or got right back to me.  After they had painted the walls I had gone downstairs that weekend and noticed some brown staining coming in the wall.  I called on Sunday, not thinking I'd hear from them till the next week.  It certainily wasn't an emergency.  But Jim called me right back.  He wanted to make sure everything was ok.  Apparently the staining is normal.  We are in an area with a lot of clay and the Zinsser paint isn't a stain blocker.  It's for the water.  He also said not to be surprised if in a few years I see some mold start to grown on the walls again.  They can always treat and repaint them for a nominal fee.  So I had the basement refinished but left all the outside walls exposed so if there is ever a problem again I will know right away.  The walls look fine just painted white.  Much better than that awful paneling. I also keep a dehumidifier running all the time.  So far so good.

  • Called Pete and without an issue, professional discussed the issue with me and he promptly came back to repaint the bottom foot of my shed rather than doing touch ups. I  was very happy Pete returned to honor his work even months later. I would used Pete The Painter again.  Pete is an honorable contractor who takes pride in his and business..

  • Scheduling for the quote:  Joe was very prompt in scheduling an appointment, arriving on time, and emailing the quote within 24 hours.
Scheduling of actual work:  Joe was responsive to the several questions I had about the job.  A few days before the job started I had two (2) addendums to the job.  He was prompt in stating that he could add on this work to the quote.
Work day:  Both Joe and his staff we on time (7:30am), took an hour for lunch and wrapped it up by 4:00pm both days.  Their time management during the day was impeccable.  The painters were professional, friendly, clean up after a days work, and seemed to really like their job, which is not something you see often.
Finalizing the paperwork:  All was paid in full at the end of day and Joe emailed the invoice in about 2 hours after the painters left.
Excellent service, I would recommend to anyone in the area.

  • Pete is a down to earth guy who answered all our questions and promptly returning all our phone calls. He told it would take about two days to complete . On the start day promised, Pete was there with his crew and completed the job in 2 consecutive days. Pete and his crew completed an overall top notch job. I recommend Pete The Painter and of course, I would use him again.

  • I did not understand what happened as to why this company was so completely different from the first time we dealt with them. It was certainly disappointing. I did not appreciate them wasting my time, and the unprofessionalism. We will not not use Gebellino Construction again, nor will we give them any recommendations.

  • First received estimate via email, which included the crown moulding coupon. This was about a month in advance of the scheduled date for the work. Joe contacted us a few days before the date to go over details and ask if an earlier date would be possible, but unfortunately that did not work for us. (He was able to keep the original date, thankfully.) At this time, we also realized that we had misunderstood the terms of the coupon. The moulding was pre-purchased by us, but the coupon includes the cost of materials. The moulding also exceeded the limits of the coupon in terms of level of detail (dentils) and face width, but Joe agreed to keep the original coupon price since material was pre-purchased. Advice to coupon redeemers on Angie's List: READ THE FINE PRINT!
Joe arrived on time on the scheduled day with one other worker. They laid out ample floor cloths, set up equipment in the backyard and got to work. Unlike some contractors we've had, they did not set up a radio and were rather quiet throughout the day. By late afternoon, they had nearly finished but Joe had to leave for some evening estimate appointments. They did a very good job of cleaning up. He returned the next day to do touch ups, so what was originally proposed as a one day job turned into 1.5 days.
Overall the quality of work and the experience was great. I was a little surprised that the trim work was done free-handed -- no tape or other tools were used to achieve perfectly straight lines. This is apparent upon close inspection, but otherwise unnoticeable. The extension of the job into two days was not a problem for us, but could have been an issue for other people unable to be home another day. Nevertheless, we were very pleased and would definitely hire him again.

  • We've had Joe and his guys do work for us before and they're consistently quick, professional and do excellent work. I have no problem using them again or recommending them to family and friends.

  • Everybody was very friendly and easy to talk with. They showed up promptly at 8:00 AM on the days scheduled and worked until finished. This job took a couple of days because they had to allow wallboard to set before doing the painting and finishing off. There was no money asked for upfront. The owner came and inspected the job after it was done. I was very satisfied with it, but he had his men come back the next day and touch up some areas, which I thought was very conscientious of him. It was not until he and I were satisfied that he asked for payment. It was a fine job and I would certainly hire this outfit to do other jobs around my home if needed.
