found this company via internet. They were local and could come out the next day, 11/17/17. We thought we'd found a "winner." No one showed. I left a message at 4:30 pm and my spouse called Monday morning, 11/20/17. "Mike" told him their computer system was down and that was why no one came. The repair man came out, took one look at the error code, opened the dishwasher and that was it. He did not pull it out, or take off the bottom panel. He told my husband the error code indicated the dishwasher needed a new motor. It would be $385.00 and he needed a $200.00 today to order the part. My husband came him a check. Unknown to my husband, I had previously looked up the error code definition : a clogged line somewhere. Turns out the repair man had arrived in his own car, with no logo. When my husband asked him about his truck, he said it was "down today." The invoice had a slightly different company name and totally different phone number from the internet. I suspected a scam; the dishwasher ran, it simply did not drain. Also, we've never been asked to pay in advance for a repair company to order a part. When I tried to find the address via reverse directories, a landline was indicated, but no address. When I googled the PA number from the invoice, "Howard Appliances" and a page of complaints came up. We contacted our bank and cancelled the check. We called "Sub Zero Pros" or "Subzero Professionals" and told them so. We indicated we were getting a second opinion due to the error code message. "Mike" said that "wasn't fair" because he had already ordered the part, and that the error code did in fact indicate a new motor was needed. For us there were too many inconsistencies to feel confident enough to spend money on this repair company.

I called them twice because I like to support local businesses. Once a few years ago for a Kenmore refrigerator, and today for a Bosch dishwasher. But every time I call, I am told they don't service the brand I have. So I can only conclude they don't keep up with changing brands. I won't call again.

After they cancelled 3 appointments within a 10 minute period where they were suppose to show up They finally arrive after a scheduled 4th appointment. They were suppose to not charge me because of THEIR missed per a supervisor in their call center but I ended up paying $88.00 not for parts but for the repair.

We ended up not repairing the dishwasher but they were extremely helpful with tips and buying a new one. We have used Stan's before and they are the most polite and trusting of any home contractor we have ever dealt with. A+

Their office called me in advance of the appt. to let me know the techs were running slightly late. Techs arrived when office said they would. Techs were very professional, took time to answer questions and provide information. They quickly diagnosed the problem, provided an on the spot quote for work, and came with the materials needed to make the repair. Repair was made with care, and everything put back as it was found. I would recommend this company for washing machine repairs or service.

John and Kyle were professional, punctual, knowledgeable and efficient. They diagnosed the problem quickly and provided me with a fair estimate. Also provided me with maintenance tips and recommendations for new appliances. It's great to find a quality family business that you can trust 100%.

Last week we noticed leaks coming through out 1st floor ceiling due to our washing machine on the 2nd floor.  Some quick investigation was had and we soon discovered lots of water coming from underneath our washer and flooding over the washer pan and down into our 1st floor ceiling.  We cleaned up the mess and removed the front panel of the washer to try and self diagnose what was going on.  After a few more tries with different cycles and laundry loads, we finally did some research on Angie's List for a well-reviewed servicer and then called AAA Stan's on Saturday morning and left a vmail that we'd like a service call.  We didn't have a clue what was going on, other than knowing there was overfilling / flooding of some kind.
We got a return call on Monday while Hubby while was at work.  They were able to come out Tuesday night, great news to our ears.  My husband relayed some information about the model of washer we had and the issues we noticed.  We were to see the repairmen Tuesday between 6-8pm.
Tuesday night 2 guys showed up at exactly 6pm, I think it was.  They couldn't have been any nicer.  I would come to find out later they are a father & son team - John & Kyle.  They put some booties on their feet and quickly got to the issue and diagnosed our machine within 5 mins, not even.  All in all, they were at our house for not even an hour.  The problem at hand was a huge build-up of debris that was clogging air pressue in one of the tubes.  Luckily, we didn't need to replace any parts, yay!  Not only were John & Kyle EXACTLY on time, not only did they QUICKLY find the problem, but they were beyond friendly and very professional - and actually really helpful as they answered our questions about routine maintenance and repair for our washer and dryer.  As somewhat new home owners (our house is not even 3 years old - and that washer is what the builder gave us, hmph), we had ideas in our mind of things we should look out for in years to come, but it was good to get even MORE solid information from the men who would know best - the guys who work on the machines every day.
I would recommend AAA to anyone.  I liked that they were a family business, liked that the father & son came out together (you don't see that too often!), and liked that we never once felt pressured to buy any expensive parts or pay some ridiculous fee for their service.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This whole thing has been a mess!  I spoke to Waseem , who is supposed to be the manager of these things, he was USELESS .  He pretended to file a claim, and never did.  I spent every night last week in Lowe's, explaining my situation, taking pictures of the damage.  I has to spend all morning today (and am still on hold as I type this), with customer service, who was never even informed of the damages,
Bottom line, I have no date for when this will be fixed, I have no resolution as to the scratches and dents on my refidgerator door, and I have no food!!!!!!!!
Oh, and when it was delivered, the guys were unable to unhook the old refridgerator and just left it in my kitchen.  So I have a refridgerator that doesn't work in my kitchen, and a refridgerator that doesn't work plopped in the middle of my living room.
I asked Waseem the manager if I could have a temporary replacement until they bring fix mine, and he said "No, we don't do that"
Avoid the nightmare/ if anything goes wrong with your refridgerator their service department SUCKS..  They have literally wasted days of my life, on hold on the phone, and in person trying to get this straightened out.

Well, Horizon happened to put a new heating system in the winter before the 5 year old Carrier air conditioning went. We wanted to get estimates from different contractors on the price of fixing the air conditioner. A part of the air conditioner is in the heating unit, so Horizon said no one else could touch their work or their warrantee is null and void. Horizon kept trying to sell us a brand new unit, even though this air conditioner was only 5 years old and parts were under warranty. I had called carrier and asked them if the company was not 100% sure the leak was in the outside coil (which came with a condenser), if they could replace both coils. Carrier said yes. Because Our Warrantee was up at the end of July, we wanted to be sure there were no hidden surprises after the warranty was up.

Anyway, they gave us a price of $2150 or something like that. We surely thought that must include the part which was under warrantee. I spoke with a very nice tech about just replacing both coils and basically having a new unit. We both agreed that this is what we were going to do. I signed a barely legible scribble, which I did read the original estimate still stood.

To make a long story longer, one tech shows up at the house with no parts. I asked about all the parts and he said it was just the outside coil he was replacing. I was livid and my husband was very busy at work trying to play go between. I was arguing that was not the price we agreed on for the price of both coils and a condenser to be put in. By the way, the unit was not there yet after an hour. Doing the math, this one guy was making over $300 / hr to install the outside coil which he was supposed to do alone. When my husband talked to the manager, he would NOT give my husband an hourly rate for a technician. Nobody knew. It was based on what they could get on each individual job.

We went back and forth for hours, the poor tech was caught in the middle, my husband said, no forget it and they turned around and came right back saying my husband DID say it was alright to proceed and they had it on tape ... My husband did not.

Whatever. At that point, the next day, we HAD to use Horizon in order to keep the warranty on the heater they installed in place. We paid the money, the air conditioner works fine, the techs were extremely nice, the tech was on time, the parts showed up about an hour later, the salesperson was very personable and pleasant, but the management were words I can't describe here.

So, the work was done, it seems to be working well so far, the price was not what we had bargained for, and the management stunk.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB.  THE GENTLEMEN WHERE VERY INFORMATIVE.  MY MANUAL SAID THE MOTOR HAD OVER LOADED.  THEY TOLD ME I WAS USING TOO MUCH DETERGENT AND NOT TO GO BY WHAT WAS ON THE DETERGENT.  HE EVEN WROTE OUT WHAT AMOUNT TO USE DEPENDING ON WHAT TYPE DETERGENT I USED.
THEY ALSO SWITCHED MY WASHER AND DRYER AROUND SO THAT UNLOADING THE WASHER & LOADING INTO THE DRY WAS EASIER.  PLUS ANSWERED

QUESTIONS I HAD ON THE OTHER APPLIANCES.
