Web Design And Development reviews in Washington DC

  • It has been a very positive experience working with this team. They obviously know the development/design side but they also made insightful recommendations about running a successful online business. For example, they suggested I start a blog and facebook page, which is something I had never considered. The communication has been excellent. We have had regular telephone and email conversations which have been braining storming sessions at which various options and ideas were discussed. This has been a new and at times overwhelming project. Fortunately, I had Square Space to take my idea from concept to implementation.

  • In the past I've dealt with bigger companies and, to my dismay, they were slower and performed less work for the price due to their work load and/or reputation.  However, EUP Global made it personal as they were responsive and even provided emergency service!  I dealt with the owner, Kendell Alexander, who made the process of building an online brand for Dr. Frisby fun and practical.  He met all applicable deadlines and ensured clarity by utilizing a Change Request document that tracked all necessary changes and news ideas in one single place (this made the process easier as everything was located in one document).  His ability to communicate and understand his client's goals is an intangible asset that makes EUP Global even that more effective.  Kendell takes the time to listen and analyze one's goals and makes it a point to set the expectations so the client clearly understands the deliverables.

Even though EUP Global is over 150 miles away from my business, the methodology and customer service employed by Kendell Alexander made it seem as though his company was in my neighborhood.  All in all, I recommend EUP Global to anyone who's trying to build a brand as they understand the nuances of marketing and these guys have serious social media insight and direction.  They stay abreast of the hottest trends and are able to offer you solutions that are "ahead of the curve".

  • This review pertains only to Web.com's facebook team, with which I had an aweful experience.
The company charges $189 a month for their service, for which they will produce a facebook page, post three status updates per week, and spend $95 in facebook ads on your company. There's unlimited updates for the first month and I think an hour or so worth a month thereafter. I was convinced to try the deal because they comped three years of a new URL with the deal ( i should mention the URL side of the business worked fine).
I spent an hour on the phone with a consultant, explaining my business, which is a high-end health and fitness consultancy. I told them to wait a couple of days and I would send their team pictures for my page and a link to my updated website (which i was still updating at the time). The facebook team did not wait for this input from me but rather constructed the page  with generic fitness information and images as well as several pieces of dry info I gave them. the page also contained several pieces of information I specifically told them not to include. Some of the images they produced didn't even make sense, such as a picture of six individuals performing crunches on swiss balls with text saying "Fitness strategies tailored for you." They sent me the link and asked me to like the page so they could make me an administrator. Instead, I sent the team a page worth of corrections for the page.
A couple days later, I get the second version and it's still bad. Half of the specific corrections I had laid out were not made. they replaced the original generic image with another one - of some random guy doing dumbbell presses with his shirt off. I called them up, told them to make me an administrator of the page. They did, and I basically fixed everything myself. The only useful thing they did was merge two of my pictures into a rectangular single image which makes a decent cover photo for the page.
Then they attempted to make posts and ads. The posts they generated were generic. I was putting out substantive fitness tips myself as posts and they were throwing out robotic snipets of information about the business. they did this at random intervals and would not tell me when they would do it. Ultimately, I had to tell them to stop after they made two dumb posts (with ANOTHER generic image) and then wrote posts for them to put on the page when they saw fit (which frankly, ain't worth a dime b/c the stats show an equal number of fans online from 9am to 9pm)
The ads were just as bad. they used images I gave them and generic statements. When I tried to interact with them, I ran into extreme difficulty. The woman corresponding with me didn't seem to understand anything I wrote to her. If I made a suggestion and asked what they thought as social media experts, they gave me generic responses, they would not interact, they'd just say, we can do it that way if you want. Then, before I even approved the ad, they posted it, spending my money and making me look bad in the process. I had to tell them to stop and then basically tell them what to put in the ad.
Web.com also has an infuriating policy which says the clients cannot speak to the people who actually put together the ads. You have to talk to the phone agents, who then forward your info to the "creative" people.
I probably spent over four hours in one month on the phone with Web.com trying to fix the situation.
And, on top of all that, nobody at the company could tell me how they were going to place my ad to maximize exposure to my target client population.
From the beginning, I told Web.com I wanted clients, not likes, but they never got this. Web'com sets a very low bar for itself - 50 likes in the first month for example - a monkey writing posts and ads could achieve this because likes don't cost anything. And looking at the pages of individuals who liked my page from Web.com's efforts, I have to conclude they missed my target population.
In short, Web.com demonstrated zero creativity, put zero thought into my account, was incredibly slow in responding and had the most infuriating system for connecting the client to the marketing team I've ever seen. I do NOT recommend working with Web.com's facebook team.

  • It went extremely smoothly.  We had spoken to a number of web designers, and had even attempted to have another group design the site first.  Brian did a fantastic job, and got it done as fast as we could get him content.  Couldn't be happier with the process and the result.

  • This guy is a total scammer!  I found him on Craiglist and contacted him through his site; he responded very promptly.  I needed help with developing a Wordpress blog and he promised to build a tutorial and send it to me within one day.  I immediately paid $75 through PayPal and he thanked me; that was the last I ever heard from him.  After emailing and contacting him for over a week with no response, I decided to contact PayPal to get a refund, which I received in 2 days.  DO NOT USE THIS GUY!

  • The project went very smoothly- they have project boards and constant updates from the project managers and web development team.
