Water Softener Installation And Repair reviews in Washington DC

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • The Sun-Tap team was very professional and informative. There was no pressure to purchase and JC, the sales representative, was available and responsive to answering questions that arose after his initial sales visit. He carefully went over options, including the installation of an additional outdoor non-soft water spigot at the back of the house for watering plants. The installation of all systems was done efficiently and the work area was cleaned up afterward. The soft water system had to be installed outdoors rather than in the garage because of the location of our water main, so JC even constructed and installed a shed with doors to cover and protect the components while allowing access to the salt container. We couldn't be happier with the service we received.

  • My husband accidentally hit the water pipe to the refrigerator with a saw and cut a hole in it when he was cutting away dry wall. We turned off the main water line and called Master Plumbing asking if they could send someone right away.  The person who took my call was courteous and so helpful.  Brian arrived within an hour or maybe less time.  He fixed the pipe in no time and he was extremely professional.  In the past, I have been charged exorbitant amounts of money by other plumbing companies for a plumber to come in an emergency.  I can't believe how reasonable the cost was especially for the excellent expedient service!

  • They called me about 30 mins before they arrived. The repairman was professional and seemed knowledgeable. My outdoor hose bib/faucet was making a loud banging noise. He told me it needed to be replaced at a cost of $557. Seemed a little on the high end, but I don't have any comparisons. So I authorized the repair. He did a good job and the sound problem is gone.
What bothered me most was his comment on a gas line problem that I did not ask to be serviced. He noticed that one of the two valves on my gas lines was broken and should be repaired. He quoted me $368 and said he could fix it today. When I looked closely at it, the valve was gone for whatever reason. Nothing was broken. I went to the store and got a new one for $6 and screwed it back on. Problem resolved. So, on the surface it looked like he was trying to sell me another expensive repair I really didn't need. If my wife was handling the repair she would have authorized the fix.
So in the end, I probably won't use them again. This attempt to fix something that wasn't necessary was fairly obvious. Anything more complex and I would have no idea whether the repair is necessary or not.

  • Exterior drain attached to the downspout was clogged resulting in water in the basement.  Henry from Len the Plumber arrived on time, knew exactly what to do, was courteous and, most importantly, fixed the problem!  Prior to calling Len the Plumber, I had called three other companies (including a waterproofing company, a different plumber, and a gutter cleaning service).  Each said that was not the type of service they provided.  Henry was very nice and knowledgeable. Now I know who to call for plumbing needs!

  • Alex stopped by to estimate cost of repairing/replacing several plumbing items for the 25-year old house I just bought in the Las Vegas Valley.  My most urgent concern was to replace the extremely corroded in-ground main water shut-off valve next to the foundation.  Alex's estimate for everything but the whole-house filter was reasonable, so I had him replace the water-main valve the same day.  He was a true pro who worked quickly and skillfully, so was done in about an hour.  I was extremely impressed by everyone at Country Wide ProServ, from the scheduler to Alex.  Really super!  As a retiree from a family of plumbers, I'd much rather have ProServ do my plumbing work, than ask any of my cousins. I plan to call ProServ for all plumbing work I don't want to do myself; they are the BEST!

  • Everything went well. Some deposits within the pipes were unsettled as a result of the work, so the mesh filters hat to be cleaned out (by the installer) and the whole system is working fine. The water comes out clear and the hardness has been eliminated. The organization with which this company operates is outstanding. I decided to hire them for water treatment after my very favorable experience with them in the installation of an electricity generator. Their organization and professionalism were evident again in this instance. Great company.

  • We have been very satisfied with them and the way the system works. It is very simple to maintain the system.  They are very professional and they are very responsive to my calls. Scheduling is easy and they are accommodating to my schedule. It takes about 2 hours to complete the work with two technicians. Their prices are fair as well.

  • They were a better fit because they seemed very sure and more knowledgeable about plumbing aspect as he is also a plumber.  I had a refinished basement and the hooking of the water softener was going to be more involved so I thought they were better. They ended up being really good than I thought.  I am impressed with their service.  The price was reasonable and initially they gave me a more expensive price for the more expensive system and then I spoke with them and they gave me a little bit cheaper.  They are definitely competitive.  They come back to do the check up and to see how well the system is doing.  When they called me I just had a baby and now they are telling me they can’t come till September and I called them and told them I am disappointed but the problem is they are a little further from Maryland so it takes them a little longer to come here.  I have no problem using them again.

  • The experience with Sila Heating & Air Conditioning was very good. They pretty much did what I expected them to do when they came out. I'm very happy with them. This is the third transaction we had with them. That's the reason why we kept coming back.

  • I purchased a home that already had Hague water softeners and filters installed, but I had a very hard time reaching one of the reps to tell me more about the program/costs/benefits until I said I didn't want the systems and they were going to lose a sale. Then the rep told me he was offering me a 'deal' off the full price to keep the current equipment - which was used! They were reasonable and let us try the system for a while to see if we would like to keep it, but in spite of the water softener claims we still had hard water stains in our bathrooms. The technicians were VERY sloppy when removing the equipment and in addition to getting water all over the carpet, they left the tiled entry way very wet and my partner slipped when trying to enter and inspect the job. Get a Brita filter instead!
