  • The job was started and completed within the projected time frame. All contacts with the company were courteous, respectful of concerns and intelligence and responsive to my questions and follow-up questions. Of the several contractors that bidded on the job, Aragon was the most comprehensive and respectful. They provided visual evidence to support their recommendations and they assessed the entire fireplace system, providing the cost of alternative solutions, not just the flue, and not just a liner vs a ceramic coating. I tend to do tons of research before consulting with a contractor. These folks exceeded my expectations. They cost a bit more that I expected and what some of the others quoted, but they were thorough and reliable; thereby making it worth it.

  • We hired Ace for a second time to install stone stairs and landing in front of our home, after they did a truly amazing job removing our old deck and installing a new one. As far as professionalism, quality, price, customer service, and ultimate responsiveness, you will NEVER find another company-- of any kind-- that will come close to Ace. They are truly top notch. For this particular project they were a little slower to respond to us than the first time around, but then again it was a particularly busy time of year so we don't fault them that. In sum, we absolutely positively will hire them again for any future project for our home.

  • We had what was pretty obvious moisture issues stemming from degrading mortar joints in the lower level of our three-floor rowhouse on Capitol Hil. I was very satisfied with the job, and I would definitely hire Santiago and his team again. The price was comparable to/slightly lower than other estimates I received, and the workmanship appears to be good. Santiago was great to work with - he is VERY responsive (via text and email), prompt, courteous, and professional. His team was studious, punctual, and polite.

  • David and his team were excellent. He is extremely professional and was patient as we delayed the project to work through obtaining condo board approval to do the work. I was impressed with their attention to detail and craftsmanship, but also to David's ability to make suggestions to keep costs of the project reasonable. The end product is beautiful and I will definitely work with David for future masonry projects.

  • We initially hired Boss Design about four years ago to remodel a bathroom, a laundry area, and kitchen. They did an excellent job in a timely manner with minimal disruption to our family. So two years ago we hired them to remodel our other three bathrooms, as well as some other smaller jobs like repairing a wall where there was some water damage. Finally, this past summer we hired them to install wood flooring on two floors, plus redo the stairs and balusters going to the second floor, and replace three outside doors; plus, again some smaller jobs such as some brick repair work and redo some built in cabinets. Whether the job was large or small, each job was done well and they were not happy until we were. In addition, if something shows up later they return to fix it. I have called twice, once almost two years after the job, for minor fixes and both were handled within a week at no charge. Everything about these three jobs were handled professionally, from the paper work to the workmanship. They were flexible when we asked them to be and honored deadlines for which we had asked. We were very pleased how all these projects turned out and would not hesitate to call them again, if needed, for another project. I have no reservations in recommending Boss Design Center.

  • My experience with Edgar and his team was beyond amazing. The guys that worked on our house were friendly, professional, and incredibly hard working. Most of all you could tell they really cared about their work. They even made unprompted minor repairs to our neighbor's wall that faces into our yard simply because they felt the condition of the brick was unsafe. When we discovered that our own brick wall was in much worse shape underneath the stucco than we'd thought, Edgar was very fair on pricing the change in work scope. When all the work was completed, Edgar's left our house looking spotless. They performed some work on our wall in our neighbor's yard, and even our neighbor was impressed with how they cleaned up. Overall they were extremely conscientious. The transformation is incredible. They have restored our home to the same quality as when it was built 120 years ago. We could not be happier with the result, and would absolutely recommend Edgar's to anyone looking for similar work.

  • The Kingston construction crews were highly capable and competent in the skills needed for our project. They started when they said they would, completed the project by the projected end date despite record breaking rainfall during construction, and their price was fair. Staff was responsive to our concerns with securing the window openings during constrution and made modifications to address the issue. They were also prompt and fair in negotiating changes to the scope of work when unanticipated conditions were encountered. We recommend them and anticipate using them again.

  • called and he literally said "that's ****** up I'm not interested' and hung up on me, expected to at least say "not interested" and hang up. i guess his service is better but not the friendliest guy that's for sure

  • I called two days ago simply asking if they provide a certain service and how their estimates are done. They didn't even have the professionalism to return my phone call. Even if you can't do a job, at least respond with a simple "yes" or "no".

  • We had a great experience with Santiago and his team. We had a water leaking through the entire rear wall of our home, which caused the interior drywall to become wet and moldy. We were very concerned since we had a newborn baby and didn’t want her exposed to mold. Santiago’s estimate was fair and he seemed knowledgeable about the nuances of historic brick/mortar. He also required a lead test (for interior) for safety. Santiago was busy, but once we decided to go with him, he got us on the books for repointing in a few weeks. His team found more damage than originally thought and repaired it all the same day. We were so pleased with the quality and neatness of his work on the exterior that we had them do the interior work as well. When they fixed our mold/drywall inside the house, they really went over and above to help us out. We had to live in our tiny basement while they repaired the upper floors – with a 1 month old baby – so they tried their best to be quick and neat. They worked long hours, one day from 8 am to 8 pm, to complete the job on time. They also put up plastic with a zippered entry to ensure no mold or dust. We were at home during all construction and were impressed by their work ethic and courtesy to us. We’ve already recommended this team to our neighbors and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
