  • I don't normally write reviews but this practice has impressed me from the start. It's very easy to schedule an appointment online, and appointments start EXACTLY on time and are to the point without feeling rushed. Rare for a doctor's office.

  • Staff was friendly and attentive. Office was small and a little odd (built into a townhouse) but it's DC, and it's convenient; they make the most of a small space. They do a significant amount of blood-work "while you wait", which is nice since by the time you meet the doctor, they have lots of data to look at, and they can talk through any abnormal results right there.

  • Dr. replied within a few hours to my telephone question with a thorough and understandable explanation of what to do and why.  I felt comfortable and opted to renew the medication and defer tests until next exam.
    This responsiveness to be typical of the practice, as is the ease of access to appointments, whether routine or urgent. As a Foxhall patient  for some 10 years, I have found my physician to be an excellent diagnostician,  personable yet professional in our interactions, extremely well informed, clear and patient when answering questions or explaining medical issues, and concerned regarding patient outcomes.  I was so pleased with his service that I encouraged my wife to become a patient after her doctor left the practice about five years ago. She joins me in my satisfaction with the Foxhall practice.
    I would add that the staff assistants to our doctors have been well trained, accommodating, and pleasant to deal with. They consistently give me confidence that they understand my concerns and relay questions and answers competently.

  • I like the personal touch of my doctor.  He knows me and he knows my entire history when I come in there.  He is just very professional.  They are very good in the office and they have the website, app and everything.  It all works perfectly for me.

  • The service is very good. I've been going there for just about 10 years. They have a lot of patients but they're very good. If you're ill, they manage to get you in. They're very flexible and will get you in on short notice. They have good bedside manner. About eight years ago, I had a series of injuries so I was really in there a lot, and they were always good with trying to do preventative things and rehabbing and all that kind of stuff. They have a 24 hour concierge service where they'll page the doctor if you're out of state and need a prescription or need to get seen. They very much work with their patients. I do not have to wait long for my appointments when I've gone there. I've seen all the doctors in the practice and all the doctors are really good. They have interns there and they're also very good.

  • The office is very small, so there's not this big waiting room full of people. The waiting area could probably only accommodate five people at most. I think he has one exam room. The day I was there, I was the only one there. So I like that. I also like that it's convenient to where I live. I could walk there, and living in Washington, D.C., that's important, is being able to walk or take the metro. Once I got to know him, I liked him. He asked a whole lot of questions, not only medical history but just personal questions, to try to get to know me as a person.

  • I got that one from Angie's List a while ago and they are called Foxhall Internists. They are terrific. I had a good experience with them. There is one doctor that we use, a Dr. Dooley and he is very good. The staff is very professional, very quick attendance and very easy to get an appointment. If I were to recommend them to a friend or a family member, I would say very well qualified doctors that really take the time to talk with you and really understand what your health concern is. I would grade them an 'A' on everything on the grading scale.

  • I had a mystery health issue that I'd been dealing with for the past 5 years; within the first visit, she was able to help me. I'm no longer on medication and have felt better than I've felt in a long time. The office is clean and the staff is great. The doctor is informative and responsive. She gives me copies of all my tests and results so I am informed too. The doctor gives me a plan that I can walk away with. I typically wait 10-15 minutes to be seen when I arrive, as she takes a lot of time with each patient.

  • While there I mentioned a persistent cough and Erin examined my lungs and ear/nose/throat - an impromptu sick visit. She prescribed some antibiotics and an inhaler and a week later the cough is gone.Erin knows her patient's histories well and is a great diagnostician.  She provides thorough, comprehensive care.
