  • Ali is really great. Very reliable. He knows what's he is doing. And even though this was the second time I called for the same range to be repaired, he always does an excellent job, with great disposition and attitude. He came before to repair the washer, The part had to be ordered, but he managed to fix my washer at one setting so that I was able to do my laundry while waiting for the part to be shipped. When the timer part came, he also did an excellent job in almost no time. Price ranged from the first time he came to repair the oven $89, to the Washer $301 (replaced the timer) and now another fuse connected to 220 v power blew. Job was done quickly and complete, and he even gave me a few minutes to clean floor under range before inserting lower tray back. Not to excited with the booking part of the appointment. The owner seems to somehow give me a hard time to book same date service, even though they advertised that they are same date service.

  • Our technician, Leo, was on time, and quickly diagnosed the problem with the broken thermostat, and replaced it promptly. Per his recommendation, we are letting the entire unit remain off allowing the remaining ice buildup to melt before turning the unit back on tomorrow. Hopefully all will work as normal once we turn it on after 24hrs.

  • This is the second time I have used Wooten Appliances and I highly recommend them. They emailed me immediately so we could set up an appointment, arrived within the window and fixed our dryer. They are wonderful.

  • I always call and trust Wooten to help me keep my appliances in top shape. They take great care to check and test every system for optimal funtion. My smooth running appliances are a testament to their great work.

  • I called him because the drawer of the freezer of my Whirlpool fridge would not open. He turned up within 2 hours of when I called. I thought it was jammed with food. He said it was frozen because the defrost drain was clogged. He was right. I decided to try to fix it myself (still a work in progress). He was very professional about my decision. He gave me a quote of around $475 to do it himself. The $95 below as the cost of his visit.

  • A SEAR'S APPLIANCE REPAIRMAN CAME TODAY TO FIX MY ALMOST NEW, HIGH END KENMORE ELITE DISHWASHER. IT WAS THE SECOND TIME THE DISHWASHER'S DIGITAL CONTOL BOARD FAILED. THE DISHWASHER WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BECAUSE THE IT WAS PURCHASED FOR A REMODELING JOB THAT WAS DELAYED. SO THE DISHWASHER WAS BOUGHT, BUT NOT DELIVERED FOR OVER A YEAR. THE DISHWASHER WAS ACTUALLY PUT IN SERVICE SEPTEMBER 2017, THE WARRANTY RAN OUT WHILE IT WAS SITTING IN THE APPLIANCE STORE'S WAREHOUSE WAITING TO BE INSTALLED. THE DIGITAL CONTROL PANEL FAILED IN FEBRUARY 2018. AT THE TIME I WAS TOLD BY THE SEARS REPAIRMAN WHO FIXED THE PROBLEM THAT IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL. HE TOLD ME THAT HE COULD FIX IT BY CLEANING THE CONTACTS BUT IT WOULD PROBABLY FAIL AGAIN IN ABOUT 6 MONTHS. SURE ENOUGH, IT FAILED IN JUST OVER 6 MONTHS. I PAID APPROXIMATELY $150 FOR THIS REPAIR. THE SEAR'S. REPAIRMAN WHO CAME TODAY TOLD ME THAT THE PARTS AND LABOR TO REPAIR THE DISHWASHER WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $450.00 BUT THAT IF I WANTED, SEARS WOULD REPLACE THE DISHWASHER WITH EXACTLY THE SAME MODEL FOR FOR ABOUT $500. HE THEN CALLED SEARS APPLIANCE SALES TO ORDER THE NEW DISHWASHER BUT IT TURNED OUT THAT REPLACING THE DISHWASHER WITH THE SAME MODEL WOULD BE A LOT MORE THAN $500. SO I DECLINED THE PURCHASE AND ASKED THE REPAIRMAN TO PROCEED WITH ORDERING THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR. HE THEN SAID HE COULD NOT PROCEED WITH THE REPAIR SINCE WHEN I OPTED TO REPLACE THE DISHWASHER, I VOIDED MY RIGHT TO HAVE THE DISHWASHER REPAIRED. HE SAID I WOULD NEED TO SCHEDULE ANOTHER $99 APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE DISHWASHER REPAIRED. THEN HE LITERALLY RAN OUT THE FRONT DOOR. I PAID $99 AND GOT NOTHING EXCEPT INCORRECT, BAD INFORMATION. WHEN I TRIED TO GET THE $99 FEE I HAD PAID REFUNDED, I WAS TOLD IT WAS NON-REFUNDABLE. I NOW I FIND OUT THE "PART THAT OFTEN FAILS" IS A SPECIAL ORDER PIECE THAT COSTS $200+ WITH SHIPPING AND IT MAY TAKE WEEKS TO GET. KENMORE BUYERS VERY BEWARE.

  • First appointment they determined that the digital control panel was defective. Said they would call me back next morning with the part status. Never called but instead sent me an email scheduling the replacement for the following day. When they didn't show up the next day I called and was told they couldn't reach the repairman but would call me back. I had to call them back again to find out the the part needed to be ordered and they rescheduled the repair for a week later. A week later when the failed to show up again I has to call them find out that the repair had been rescheduled for two weeks later. Also the price quoted was $200+ for the part and $200+ for the labor. The part takes about 15 minute to replace so even with travel that comes to quite a bit more that the maximum $79 guaranteed rate quoted on their web site. I had to start over with another appliance repair firm

  • I hired Bray and Scarff to check my dryer that was not heating because that is where I purchased it. When he arrived at 6:30 PM (supposed to be here between 2 and 5), he told me I needed a new heating element but couldn’t tell me how much it would cost to replace it or give me any advice as whether to repair or replace it. He didn’t know if they would have to order it or if this part was even available but that someone would call me. When they didn’t call I called and was told that the repairman hadn’t turned in the paper work but would call within the next couple of days. I asked the same questions about cost, time etc and was told they didn’t know. I called an Angie’s list A rated place and a repair man would come to my house within 2 days with the part and quoted a price of $250 total for part and installation.

  • The problem was not accurately diagnosed. Technician said the drum bearings needed to be replaced. This didn't make sense since the machine was brand new. The guy who later came to pour a concrete floor accurately diagnosed the problem: The stabilizers (used to keep the drum stationary during transport) had not been removed when the machine was installed.

  • The technician did not diagnose the problem correctly. He said he hit the "reset" button on the ice maker. (There is no "reset" button on the ice maker.) He said we needed a new ice maker, which was between $200-300 for parts alone. The real problem, which we figured out on our own after he left, was that water had frozen in the line to the ice maker. We unplugged the fridge, let it thaw, and now the ice maker works. The technician never suggested that the water line might be frozen though, per the internet, this is the most common reason for water to suddenly stop flowing to ice maker. Finally, he showed up well beyond the 2-hour window we were given for the service visit.
