ARockland Fence, LLCI wanted the front of the house to have a nice vinyl fence instead of chicken wire as the previous owner had installed. They quoted me the BEST price of the 5 fence companies I hired. They used a good quality, USA made vinyl fence and door. I was very happy with their work ethic, price, and ability to quickly install the fence from the time of our first meeting.- Christopher G.

ADurham Fence CoThe fence looks great in our yard. The crew was courteous and professional. It was a 2 day job, and on day 2 it rained the whole morning. Instead of packing up, and coming back they sat out the rain and finished the job. Wiped down the fence before they left. I got 8 more feet of fence for $2,000.00 less than Luther fence.- Dan A.

AThis was the second time we hired Ark Home Improvement for a renovation project, and they were every bit as professional, thorough and considerate as the first time. Their work, craftsmanship and attention to detail are excellent. They not only care about giving their customers what they want, but they take true pride in their work, and it really shows. The results are always impeccable. We get so many compliments from neighbors and passersby on the work that Ark Home Improvement did, and we're always quick to recommend them to everybody. We're already planning our next renovation project, and there's nobody other than Noah and his team that we'd trust to do the work.

Business Description:
Our non-electric dog fence is comprised of 12 individual components. It is a REAL physical fence that can be assembled by any homeowner or professional installer which we can provide. Our fence acts as a flexible net that inhibits dogs and other animals from climbing. The bottom material is flared in towards you and secured with uniquely shaped ground stakes to create a dig guard. You don’t have to dig any holes, mix cement, or make any changes to your landscape.

APet Playgrounds installed a 6 foot fence in our backyard to create a safe play area for our dogs. The work was done quickly, the price was reasonable, and the fence has held up well to all kinds of weather. It is by far the best fence we have ever had, and I feel better knowing that when the dogs go outside, they are safe and secure.

AI could not be happier with my choice. Shawn was professional, friendly, and knowlegable from first contact. He was not the cheapest nor the most expensive estimate I received to complete the work. His quote included more than the cheaper and more expensive estimates I had received. Once hired he began immediately and removed the trees from the house in the first day. It took a little time to complete the job but his concern was the ruin of a lawn in pristine condition. He waited for the ground to dry before starting the portion of the work that required heavy equipment. The lot is also on a very steep downward angle . I feel that he completed the job in a timely manner considering that the weather continued to work against him. Upon finishing he left the property in excellent condition. He removed the 7 foot diameter root ball as well so one would never know the wreck it all had been . The only tell tale sign is where he graded, seeded, and fertilized the portion on the yard where the trees had fallen and gouged the ground.

FI wish I could review this company's work, but it didn't happen. This is a report of deplorable customer service. The company was quick to send an arborist to give an estimate on August 22nd. He quoted a price that I agreed with and told me they were running six to eight weeks behind. He said he'd call late September to let me know when they'd be there to do the work. Fast forward 7 1/2 weeks and I called the company to see where I was in the queue. There was no return call. I called again the following week on a Monday, giving the same message, inquiring where I was on the list. Again, no return call from the arborist. That Friday, I called and asked for the arborist's supervisor, making my displeasure known and requested that he call me. Once again, there was no return call. Can it possibly be company policy to ignore customers who are willing to give them over one thousand dollars worth of business? Seven days after, I called the company again. At two days short of the ten week mark I fired them.

We are a design build company from renovations , additions and complete home building. Our enthusiasm for what we do as well as our in depth experience in the industry keeps this business on the leading edge .I am the owner Darren Gioello and have been in the trade for 30 years we look forward to talk with you about your project.
Recent Review:
FEVERY WORD IN THIS REVIEW IS 100% TRUE AND DOCUMENTED. DARREN GIOELLO REFUSED TO HONOR THE WRITTEN CONTRACT PRICE AND REFUSED TO COMPLETE THE CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS. We hired Darren Gioello of Cutting Edge Carpentry to do a major renovation of a home in Old Lyme, CT. One example of not honoring the written contract price was a request (E-mail) for an addional 25 thousand dollars. There was no change order associated with it and the only reason was "so that I can push this project to the next level". He had collected so much money with the job nowhere near finished that, in our opinion, we had no viable alternative but to agree to pay. We requested an accounting of money spent. His accounting clearly documented the fact that he would not honor the original contract price. Although a certificate of occupancy was obtained for the project, many items in the detailed contract were never completed, but were paid for, including crown, baseboard, insulation in basement ceiling, leveling downstairs half bath and laundry floor (he signed a document that it would be levelled) and outside trim. The railing over the stairs was made from scrap lumber and tied to the wall with a finish nail, which popped out. He wrote that the railing was not in the original scope of work (it was because a getting a certificate of occupancy was part of the contract), but that he would tie it into the wall. He never even did that. We filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (our Consumer Protection complaint was NOT his first). He responded to both that everything was closed
