New England Roofing & Home Repair LLC
Did a great job negotiating with the insurance company to have the work covered. The installation work and materials used were top notch. Guys did a good job of cleaning up the area when they were finished. They are very busy so responses to questions while negotiating the job details can be slow. Once we settled on the work that needed to be done, the turnaround time to get the job completed was not that long.

    M & J Roofing LLC
We have used M&J roofing twice. The first time was to put a new roof on one part of our house. They were incredible. There work was exceptional, done quickly and everything left spotless. Recently, we experienced a leak on a different part of our roof. They came out immediately to look at it and did a quick fix to insure we would not get any additional water damage, before they were able to replace the roof and flashing a couple of weeks later. Once again they were incredible and extremely pleasant to do business with. I would definitely give them my highest recommendation.

    Richie's Roofing LLC
Richie's Roofing LLC did a great job on my roof replacement and they have the best prices around. Job was done quickly and very professionally. My roof looks great now and especially I like how that copper chimney flashing looks.

    SOS Restoration & Construction Inc
After chasing down a few other contractors with no responses, Jed came right out, emailed me a very fair estimate the same day and got all the work done in less than a week. Not only that, he informed us about everything he was doing, and was so clean I couldn't even tell that workers had been at the house! This nicest and easiest home repair experience I've ever had and will definitely use them again.

    Baybrook Remodelers Inc
Short version: Baybrook has been excellent for our project and I would definitely recommend them. Details: We dreamed of expanding our garage for more car room and storage space. We started with another contractor who was priced very well, but wound up making mistakes and not being able to finish the job he started. We wanted someone more established and reliable, and while we had never worked with them before, Baybrook seemed to fit the bill. Definitely pricier than the first guy, but when it comes to construction projects it seems you often get what you pay for. Having worked in construction myself in the past, I recognize good work and people when I see them. Baybrook is as close to a "Make it Right" kind of outfit (if you get the reference) that I've seen. Baybrook answered all of our questions throughout the process, and were even agreeable to letting us do portions of the project ourselves (to save some money). Even though we were pretty set on what we wanted from the get-go, we worked with one of the designers (Dan) and owner (Ken) to look at different options, and did actually change our plans a bit. It was great to sit down and visualize different options using 3D software to see what our house would actually look like in different ways. Even if we didn't go ahead with Baybrook as the contractors, this design process was great and gave us some printed plans that we could have used with someone else (or ourselves). I definitely recommend doing this, especially since you get a credit for the design cost towards your project if you do go with them. The project went ahead at a steady pace, and there was good hand-off from each "team" to the next (site/concrete first, then framing, then roofing). Communication via text and phone was great. Ed was our project manager, and was incredibly nice and helpful. I liked that he talked with us a lot about what we wanted and offered suggestions about what might benefit us. We did make a few small modifications to the project (for example removing a column support to give us more car maneuvering space), and we are very glad we did. As with any construction project you have to be prepared for a few inconveniences (living with a dumpster and portapotty, debris, rain delays, etc.), but Baybook is by far the best outfit I've worked with so far, and we will definitely be working with them in the future and recommending them. A big thanks to Baybrook for a job well done, and I hope this helps someone else to make a good decision!

Chris was a pleasure to deal with. He was punctual and thorough in his explanations and in our business dealings. He went above and beyond at one point, lending me a family vehicle when ,through a misunderstanding, I was not able to access mine for a few days. He answered any questions promptly and I felt he was fair in our negotiations. His company started the work when he told me they would and also finished within the initial time frame give. So far the roof has not leaked nor have the skylights. The roof itself look mighty fine. There were some small negatives. The workers did not clean up very well during the removal of my old roof. I came home from work often to find quite a bit of debris on my lawn including left over lunches during the old roof removal days. After thenew roof was put on I went up in the attic and found numerous holes where the knots of some of the original wooden boards had been knocked out by the force of the installation of the tiles. The workers repaired these holes but I had to bring it to their attention. The dumpster that was left by the company the was contracted by Valley, left a few deep gauges on my driveway. I pointed this out to Chris who took photographs of it after all the work was done and told me he would get back to me after the winter. This never happened. Since last year I have found a few nails from the roof, on my driveway. This leads me to assume the cleanup after the job was not as thorough as it should have been. Having listed the above negatives, I'd still say that the positives still win out. The roof looks great, has not leaked and the skylights are working well as are the gutters. Overall I would recommend this company. Their honesty and fair pricing and adherence to their stated completion date make them worthy of being hired.. I would just be vigilant about cleanups and peripheral damage possibly done to driveways.

    Richie's Roofing LLC
It didn't happen. I called on the day of purchase and another time after. I did not receive a message back. I'm sure they are inundated but they should be prepared for special offers. I am very disappointed and would like a refund from Angie's list for the payment for the offer.

    Everlast Construction LLC
We recently purchased a house and were told that despite having a new roof it had suffered from ice dams. We called Everlast Construction. Mr. Tullo arrived on time and was great. He really went above and beyond, told us a lot about our house we did know, was honest about what we needed and didn't need, and told us what we could get done on our own. At the end of the day he didn't take any money for his time and pointed us in the right direction.

    Rick's Roofing & Siding LLC
Rick provided an estimate that was thorough and professional.  It was a little larger in scope than we desired, so the estimate was out of our price range.  He included several items that we did not feel were required.  Rick spoke to me on the phone a couple times and was clearly very particular about doing things the "right way".  This can be a good attribute, however it is inflexible and leads to high estimates.  Rick also warned against putting solar panels up on a non-updated roof, and warned me about a potential homeowners insurance rate disaster if I do so.  I called my insurance company and they had no issues with our potential plan.  So from that experience I believe Rick is a little alarmist in his views on what should and should not be done.

    The Gutter Specialist
Franklin did an outstanding job. He was responsive, punctual, hard working and thorough. Best of all, Franklin is not a salesman (like some of the other gutter guys in the area). He was very honest and informative. He'll get all of my gutter business going forward.
