Electrician reviews in Woodbridge

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • John is very punctual. He and Steve immediately got to work. They had to install a grounded pole attached to our house and then bring the wires up to code along with building a panel of circuit breakers. We upgraded from 100 to 200amps also. Everything looks great and very clean. They cleaned up everything including sweeping the floor where they worked. Wonderful people. I would hire them again anytime I need electrical work.

  • Darrell and his crew did a superb job. They put a lot of thought and effort into their work and they keep you informed throughout the process. Given that this was my first major remodel, I had a lot of questions, but having Darrell walk me through this process and protect my interests throughout was a huge advantage. In addition to that, Darrell was never once late, he was extremely responsive when we had questions (even at off-hours), the crew was polite and friendly, and they cleaned up after the day's work each day. And the cherry on top - Darrell's pricing was extremely competitive, transparent and fair. We loved them so much that my 2 year old son even gave Darrell a goodbye hug on the final day. I'd give him an A+ if Angie's list would let me.

  • Not only did Ken quickly and efficiently pinpoint the issue in the garage and restored power, he also assisted me on the spot with a project that I had been struggling with for days, the installation of a new microwave to replace the one lost in the lightning strike. I didn't ask him for help with it, he saw the microwave sitting on the table and offered right there and then to give me a hand with it. I couldn't be happier with Ken and the work that he did. He is prompt, efficient, courteous, and extremely competent at his trade. I couldn't ask for better, and I will be reaching out to him for all of my electrical needs. I offer my highest possible recommendation.

  • I think he did an okay job but he really didn't come prepared. We had a series of things that we needed him to do and I prioritized them to him before hand. I think he completed most of the jobs but there was a lot of negativity before getting it done. And the most important piece that I wanted done which was a chandelier that is really hard to get to, he didn't come with the proper equipment. So there was a lot of that smaller stuff that needed to get done. He was responsive in the beginning.

  • Went very well.  Very professional. Had the parts that we hadn't purchased.  My husband happily acted as assistant.  Very conversant as to what he was doing, also making observations about other electrical things in the house. Definitely plan to have him back for other projects.

  • As per our previous experiences with Accurate Electrical, the 2-man crew came on time, discussed the job attentively, and set to work. They promptly disconnected and removed our old hard-wired appliance, and proceeded to install a new 4-prong outlet per State code guidelines as required for the new range. The work was neatly and efficiently done, and they left the area spotless. As always, they were punctual,  knowledgeable and courteous, and we plan to call them in the future for any electrical work that we may require.

  • We had some scheduling issues. I called him yesterday to get an appointment date set and it went to voicemail, though I was unable to actually leave a message as his mailbox was full. A few minutes later, he returned the call inquiring as to who I was. I informed him that I got his number through Angie's List and he told me that he was out in the field and didn't have access to his calendar. I gave him my cellphone number and asked him to call anytime and that I was ok with the call being outside of business hours. I have yet to hear back from him and have decided to contact Angie's List in order to get a refund of the purchase as I don't want to have to chase him down just to get an appointment set up.

Prior to calling Angie's List, I did peruse his reviews on Angie's List and a few of the more recent ones noted the same issue that I was experiencing, so that has factored into my decision as well.

  • lighting fixture repair and connection/wiring testing went fine.  He was unable to resolve power problem, but did walk me through the steps he took in his testing.  His methods were sound and to the point.  He suggested not to do diagnoses that he knew would not help and would only cost me money.  He was quite informative, taking the time to explain the engineering behind home wiring.

  • Chris was professional, punctual and communicated very well. I received a call confirming that he would be here when he said he would. After a string of bad experiences with some other service providers, it was a pleasure to work with Chris. He hooked up some track lights for me, rewired a fixture that was shocking me, installed a can light and put in a gfci outlet. I'll have him back when I have more electrical work to be done. This was all done at a more than reasonable price.

  • Kurt is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want in a contractor!  We gave Kurt some photos that we found on the internet of basement ideas that we liked.  He not only was able to create each of the ideas I gave him, but he improved upon them.  He was professional and followed through on everything he committed to plus anything else he could think of to make the end product even better.
He installed a 9' wet bar with a granite countertop.  The bar has a stained glass lightbox over the sink.  He installed mirror and glass shelves along the bar back wall in-between pillars.  It is simply beautiful!  We had him build an entertainment wall that included 2 built in book cases to hold all of the electronics that needed to be hooked into the TV.  He was able to conceal all of the cords and electrical outlets leaving us with a very clean looking media wall.  He hung our flat screen TV on a wall of stacked travertine rock tiles.  It absolutely turned out stunning!  He used more of the stone for the front of the bar then ran a rope light under the granite that make the stone absolutely glow!
My favorite feature in the room was what he did with the 3 support poles in the middle of the room.  Before the flood, we had such a hard time trying to make them look like something besides ugly poles.  He boxed them in with wood, then did a custom raised panel effect with crown molding.  The poles are now beautiful wooden pillars!  He built a half wall between two of the poles that is located behind the couch and divided the room perfectly without impairing anyone's view of the TV!  If you go to his website he will have photos of this project!  You really have to see it to fully appreciate how happy this homeowner is with his new basement!
I am confident that you could hire Hoffman Restoration to do any construction work in your home and get a beautiful end product and a very good experience with an honest contractor.
