    All Home Improvements
Justin arrived on time, removed the window that needed to be repaired, put a temporary piece of insulation in and told me he would inform me when the window would be ready. Once again, he was exhibited professionalism and courtesy.

    A Just Improvement LLC
He was fast, professional and thorough. He did the work right away and far exceeded our expectations. The quality of his work is excellent. We plan to use him for several other projects in the near future.

    Valerie Spencer Interiors LLC
Brian was precisely on time, courteous, and meticulous.  He called just before his appointment to confirm the tasks that needed to be done.  I'm assuming he wanted to be sure he came with the proper tools that may be needed.  The complete job took 2.5 hours to finish.  He will definitely be back for more odd jobs.

Mr. Handyman of Farmington Valley & West Hartford
They said someone would call me the following day to come out, but no one ever did. I called back to find out when they would come out and the owner didn't like my feedback. Very poor communication and they never came when they said they would.

    A Just Improvement LLC

In order to accommodate a new, higher refrigerator, I removed a small cabinet above that space in our kitchen.  Behind the cabinet, however, we found a large wood backing board rather than sheet rock.  We needed to repair this wall and also finish the molding on the cabinets next to the space.

We saw A Just Improvement LLC, an A rated company on Angie?s List, and gave them a call.  Within the day, Justin Pompa came to assess the job.  Since there would be a few coats of plaster and then of paint, with a drying period between, it would be necessary for him to arrive, do part of the job, leave for a period and then return.  He would be able to fit in some other work, but he thought he could do the job with a few hours spread over three days.

We felt his estimate was reasonable, and he seemed like a good guy, so we proceeded.  And we were very happy with the result.  Justin is meticulous, and gives attention to more details than we could spot.  In the end, the repair looks like the wall should have been originally?a perfect job.  He worked quickly but carefully.  He was able to rework his other jobs so that he could finish the job in three calendar days.

Justin is a pro, very knowledgeable in his craft.  He was able to listen to our problem, advise us on what we should do, and then achieve a great result for us.  Although this was a small job for him, I am sure he gave it the same attention he gives to his big jobs.  I recommend him.

    Dave Lane Building and Remodeling
Dave Lane Home Improvements is fantastic!!  We had a poor patch job that a previous contractor did not finish.   Not only did he send his estimator right out to give us an estimate when many contractors would have refused such a small job, they quoted us a more than fair price.  Katelyn in his office is an absolute delight to deal with, every time I talked with her or communicated via email she was always bright and cheerful.  They showed up right when they said they would to start the job, finished even earlier than they originally estimated, and did a terrific job on the repairs.  Dave and his staff are friendly, courteous, professional, and very meticulous.  It is obvious they take great pride in their work and strive for perfection in every job they do.  We will DEFINITELY be using them for our future home renovation projects!

    The Magic Handyman
He did a decent job on the window repairs but not on the concrete steps.  The repairs didn't last more than 8 months and continue to deteriorate.  He said he would come back out and do a temporary repair.  I have hired someone else to fix the steps.  I was disappointed.

    Lady House Doctors
Terrible. After first contact I got back to them only to have to contact again asking them to please get back to me. Then emailed once or twice more. Finally they said they would contact me so give me my phone number. That was over a week ago and no one has called.
Very poor customer service. It is like I have to beg them to "take me money". If they are this unresponsive before the sale, I can't even begin to imagine how bad it must be to contact them after the sale. Yikes!
Sadly this is true of many sub-contractors, they don't follow up.

    Lady House Doctors
The Lady House Doctors team moved all the furniture to one side of the room and ripped up the carpeting and padding. Once one side was done, they moved the furniture to the other side and continued with removing it. They cut it in sections as they went along. They removed all the carpeting and padding and disposed of it. They then worked on removing the carpeting from the stairway. When all remnants of carpeting was removed, they swept and vacuumed the floor and stairway.  The total job took approximately four hours. They did an excellent job.

    The Magic Handyman
I started off the process by calling Greg and leaving a message asking what it would take to get a written estimate to perform some repairs around the house. Greg responded within 24 hours, and asked me to send him an email along with pictures of the damaged areas. Once Greg had my email and pictures, he responded within 24 hours with a verbal estimate for performing the repairs, and we then arranged for a time when he could do a visual inspection of the damage. Upon the completion of the visual inspection, the written estimate was provided, which was less than the verbal estimate. Once I made the decision to accept Greg's estimate, we arranged a time for him to begin the work.
On the day of the job, Greg arrived 10 minutes early, and got right to work. Prior to starting, I had asked Greg how long it should take him to complete the work, and he had estimated it would take about 6 to 8 hours. By the end of the 3rd hour, Greg was just waiting for the walls to dry so he could apply the painting, but, given that it was a very humid day, we arranged for him to come back a couple of days later to finish up with his painting. When he returned to complete the painting, he was in and out within an hour.
Greg performed all the work requested, and the work that was performed was excellent. Would definitely work with him again if I was looking to complete any sort of handyman work around the house.
