    Dynamic Basements Plus
Dynamic basement plus was incredible. Christopher and his team came in and completely redid our.basement so beautifully and over met our expectations. They were super fast and on top of that did things for us that most contractors said no to. I would absolutely hire them again and I have referred many of my friends and family to them because they did such a wonderful job.

    E D Painting
David from E D Painting did a great job. He had to fix some of the work another contractor did regarding the drywall. I'm completely happy with the work performed and will be using E D Painting again for other interior painting in my home.

    Dave Lane Building and Remodeling
Dave Lane Home Improvements is fantastic!!  We had a poor patch job that a previous contractor did not finish.   Not only did he send his estimator right out to give us an estimate when many contractors would have refused such a small job, they quoted us a more than fair price.  Katelyn in his office is an absolute delight to deal with, every time I talked with her or communicated via email she was always bright and cheerful.  They showed up right when they said they would to start the job, finished even earlier than they originally estimated, and did a terrific job on the repairs.  Dave and his staff are friendly, courteous, professional, and very meticulous.  It is obvious they take great pride in their work and strive for perfection in every job they do.  We will DEFINITELY be using them for our future home renovation projects!

    The Magic Handyman
I started off the process by calling Greg and leaving a message asking what it would take to get a written estimate to perform some repairs around the house. Greg responded within 24 hours, and asked me to send him an email along with pictures of the damaged areas. Once Greg had my email and pictures, he responded within 24 hours with a verbal estimate for performing the repairs, and we then arranged for a time when he could do a visual inspection of the damage. Upon the completion of the visual inspection, the written estimate was provided, which was less than the verbal estimate. Once I made the decision to accept Greg's estimate, we arranged a time for him to begin the work.
On the day of the job, Greg arrived 10 minutes early, and got right to work. Prior to starting, I had asked Greg how long it should take him to complete the work, and he had estimated it would take about 6 to 8 hours. By the end of the 3rd hour, Greg was just waiting for the walls to dry so he could apply the painting, but, given that it was a very humid day, we arranged for him to come back a couple of days later to finish up with his painting. When he returned to complete the painting, he was in and out within an hour.
Greg performed all the work requested, and the work that was performed was excellent. Would definitely work with him again if I was looking to complete any sort of handyman work around the house.

Jim showed up on time, organized the tools he would need, and got to work.  Removing the bees nest, repairing ceiling, then applying the drywall mud took just about 2 hours.  He cleaned up the room and set up a small heater near the repaired area so the mud would dry overnight.  Jim arrived on time the next day.  He had a couple of ceiling paint choices for me to review to ensure I was happy with the match to the existing ceiling color.  One of them was a perfect match.  He painted the ceiling, cleaned up the room again, and went on his way.  This final piece of work took a little less than an hour.  Total time for repair: about 3 hrs.
Now that the repair is complete and the paint is dry, I can't even tell there was ever a problem!  Jim was professional, courteous, respectful of my time, and arrived on time.  He runs his business well.  I would recommend him and I think the price was quite good for the quality of Jim's work.  Excellent!

    Handyman Connection- Hartford
Handyman Connection did a good job. We had no complaints. His wife is an interior designer and she helped us out. She worked nicely with us in terms of the design. She was deeply involved in the tile design in the bathrooms and everything. She followed through on that to make sure that they did the tiling and they got it done right. They had a great carpenter. It was quite a pleasant experience. Their pricing was about average. The only thing that set them apart in terms of the initial bid was the plumber came in about half the price of the other plumbers.

    Sotac Home Improvement
We called them back because they did a good job the first time. They basically got a plumber to come in and put some insulation in the wall and then repaired the ceiling. They are pretty prompt. They will follow up and they do a good work.

    Better Built Basements LLC
Better Built Basements exceeded all my expectations. They did an amazing job on my basement!  Not only was the work of the highest quality, but Jim was in constant contact to make sure that we were happy and that everything was moving smoothly. I knew if I had even the smallest question I could contact Jim and he would get back to me very quickly.  The people of Better Built Basement work harder than any other company I’ve worked with. Not only did that mean working longer hours, and even weekends, but it also meant keeping the space clean each day. That was a bonus that was greatly appreciated. No one likes to come home to a remodel project when the room is left in disarray each night. Better Built Basements treats your space like their own home, so you can view the work each night without tripping over equipment or encountering excess dirt. In addition to their hard work and respect for our home I also appreciated having a timeline for the project so I knew when each step was to take place. Since my laundry was in my basement they even let me know if it would be unavailable for any period in time so I could plan accordingly.  The project came in at the cost quoted and the team worked hard to make my room look perfect. I cannot recommend Better Built Basements enough.  The team that worked on my home was friendly and courteous. Jim made the project stress free and enjoyable. All my husband and I had to do was enjoy watching our new space unfold. I would recommend BBB for your home improvement project and plan on contacting them again in the future for other project we have.

I had to give BBB straight A's across the board -- I was so pleased with my whole experience, and I LOVE my basement. -- I had interviewed a number of contractors - prices were either suspiciously low or the person was just a salesman who didn’t seem to be invested in the final outcome. My meeting with Jim and Kelly was a pleasant change. It was the first contractor meeting I’d had where I truly felt I could trust the people I was talking to – not only to be honest, but to be able to deliver the quality they promised. They were straightforward and explanatory; and this carried throughout the entire project and with all the members of their team. A great selling point was the bound books that they prepare for each customer documenting their basement transformation from start to finish – it clearly showed me what each of their projects had accomplished. -- Jim checked the worksite every day and kept me updated on progress, even emailing me pictures when I was out of town. The basement was always clean and tidy at end of day and they were diligent about setting the alarm system when they left. Every one of their team – and I did meet them all - was professional and competent -- They met or exceeded all the completion dates they promised. Payment schedule was appropriately based upon project milestones. -- They had excellent suggestions for adding space and design (closet under stairs), half-wall cut-out on stairs to open up that view, display shelf, square columns, angled wall at furnace area, etc. Even had a way to reuse some of the doors to save me a little money. -- As part of this project, they also corrected some existing problems like moving this huge air duct in the ceiling at the foot of the stairs. -- Their carpet guy was a joy to work with, letting me take any sample boards I needed until I finally made up my mind. And it took forever for me to decide on paint color – I appreciated their advice and patience during my selection process. They also had good advice on lighting and electrical placement. -- The dry-walling, and painting and tiling were excellent; the carpet installation was flawless - even the stairs. -- I am so very pleased with my basement –from start to finish everything was done with the highest attention to quality and detail.

Reasonable price; prompt work; very good dust control and cleanup; responsive to detail issues. Caution to prospective customers: vaulted or cathedral ceilings difficult to obtain 100% smooth surfaces. Flat paints will not hide these imperfections whereas sprayed-on (sand or pop-corn) will. I would hire contractor again.
