    Schroder Home Improvement
Pablo Schroder and his crew were fantastic. From the first call to last check sent everything was done on time, correctly, and professionally. Good pricing and explanations especially if you dont know exactly whats going on. Very trustworthy and respectable company overall.

    Lecla Home Improvements LLC
The project went swimmingly. LECLA's proprietor, Mr. Luis Clavijo, was prompt to respond to my initial call, to meet me for a site visit, to provide a proposal and to answer follow-up questions. When we agreed on the project scope and price (I note that Mr. Clavijo, unlike some other contractors, was open to making some reasonable changes to his standard form contract), he was able to schedule the job start date within two weeks. The day before work began, the roofing materials were delivered to my driveway (a minor error in color of drip edge was quickly rectified and did not delay the work.) The following day the crew of 5 arrived about 15 minutes before the agreed-upon 7:30 a.m. start time and at 7:30 hit the ground running. They protected shrubs, plantings, patio furniture and deck before starting work and, evidencing considerable experience, performed like a well-oiled machine with different workers removing the old roof, carting debris to the dumpster, and preparing and hauling the new roofing materials to where needed. The coordination was equally evident when the crew began the new roof installation, as plywood, flashing, underlayments and shingles, etc. work was performed in sequence by several crew members following each other. The old roof was removed quickly and installation of the new underlayment, drip edges, flashing, ridge vent and shingles on the main roof (along with replacement of some sheets of damaged existing plywood) was done by the end of Day One. The entire roof was done by the end of Day Two and cedar shakes, with new flashing and associated trim carpentry, and final clean-up were complete on Day Three. From the start, it was clear that LECLA's 5-man crew knew what they were doing. They wore safety harnesses, boots and, for those working below, safety helmets; they measured carefully, used chalk lines and wood guides to maintain straight lines for the roof and cedar shingles and handled power tools with confidence. LECLA had its own trucks to deliver its crew and tools (no other vehicles crowding driveway) and to deliver and haul away the dumpster. I was at home during nearly all of the work and observed that the crew quickly and safely got heavy materials to the roof by hoist, took few and short breaks, were pleasant and responsive in my few interactions, and put in full days of work. The roof looks great and, although no rain, much less a storm, has hit yet, it appears ready to protect my home when they inevitably do. I tip my hat to Mr. Clavijo and his crew for a job well done at a bid price that was neither the lowest nor the highest I elicited. It was a pleasure dealing with LECLA and I will call upon them again should another project arise. I otherwise recommend LECLA to other homeowners looking to have similar work performed.

My house is about 1,500 sq ft.  The old wooden siding was chipped and flaking.  They covered the siding with 1/2 inch insulation panels and put up the new siding.
They did most of the work while I was a way on vacation and I came back to a half-day of wrapping up.
The job was neatly done.  The area around my house was left clean.
I am very pleased with the work.

LT Home Improvement & Roofing LLC
The overall job went very well, taking just over a week, which was on time and on budget. They did a great job and cleaned up well. We'll be looking to have them bid on the project when we replace the aluminum siding on our house as well.

Robinson's Painting Co & Home Improvements LLC
The work was excellent, I was very pleased with the exact matching of the paint on the porch as well as part of the house siding that was removed and needed repainting. The price was as quoted, the date specified was kept, they were punctual and clearned up well following the job.

    Flying Colors Roofing and Painters
This was an excellent experience with Steve Totilo, owner of Flying Colors, and his crew who powerwashed, repaired siding, and painted my home. Steve first completed a detailed and comprehensive estimate that told me exactly what to expect for his fee. He was true to his estimate. I paid with a deposit, midpoint payment, and final payment. I was informed about what to expect throughout the process. Steve alerted me ahead of the start date in order to give me time to make my color selections. All decisions were mine, and he was respectful of my wishes. When I asked for advice his information was experience-based and helpful. I was prepared again when it was time for the power washing and carpentry work, then the primer, then the final coats. This was all accomplished within days, but communication was excellent either in person, by email, or phone. Everything moved forward efficiently and systematically from start to finish.
I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the crew of men who work for Flying Colors. They were focused, dedicated, effective, and left me feeling at ease with them working on my property as I came and went. They arrived and left on the schedule I expected. Their attention to detail was excellent and the clean-up afterwards was complete.
The outcome was a beautiful piece of work and the excellent quality of the products used and the craftsmanship is obvious. If this sounds too good to be true, it is in fact true. I recommend Flying Colors without reservation.

It was a very difficult job because we have high ceilings and roof lines and they did an excellent job. The crew for the windows was superb in cleaning up. The crew for the roof did a fair job cleaning up and there were nails left in the driveway. I would recommend them to anybody.

    Top Notch Carpentry & Remodeling
With the number of contractors out there, it's nice to run into someone who gives you an honest answer and assessment of work to be done.  Mike came to my house for an estimate on work we needed to take care of.  We had a lot we had planned, from a new addition to finishing a basement, reconfiguring a flat roof to a gabled and replacing some windows along with remodling our bathroom.  Mike took it all in stride and made some great suggestions on how we could economize and still get the same result.

Mike went around the house with me, going over the items I wanted to have taken care of.  I especially appreciated his attention to detail by pointing out areas of rot around our windows I had not even taken into account.  He was very knowledgeable and, most importantly, took the time to explain and help me to understand not only the work needed, how long it would take. what was involved to make each piece happen as well as the costs involved.  I felt very comfortable with his expertise and demeanor.  It's not been my experience with other contractors, to get a quick sense of trust, but I felt comfortable with Mike right away.

Unfortunately, circumstances changed for me and I had to delay the work we wanted to get done.
I made sure to keep Mike's card handy for when that day returns, as I can't think of anyone more trustworthy I'd want to have working on my house.

Two excellent crews.  Slow with the quotes and because of size of job we did do some haggling on price.  Once the job was started it was well done and with good quality.  This is a family owned business and they do care. Would use again.
