  Sales:   The sale rep, Neal Garrison, worked with me extensively to spec out what I needed.  I received quotes from multiple companies (large oil companies as well as independent plumbers), while Kaufman's quote wasn't the cheapest,  Neal spent the most time going through every aspect with me in details, including things I haven't thought of such as space requirement, noise, temperature changes in the mechanical room, etc.  I appreciated Neal's insight and attention to details.  Neal was the only sale rep who actually did a walk-around of my house prior to spec-ing out the boiler.
  Installation: Two technicians spent 1.5 days to set up the plumbing, boiler, and the indirect water heater.  Their were on-time and worked neatly. The setup looked well thought out and organized.  They also re-routed some pipes for me that wasn't in the original scope of work.  However, there was some faulty wiring that shorted out the 24-volt transformer to the boiler twice 1 week after installation.  This resulted in a melted transformer, tripped the breaker panel, and no heat.  The technician came within a few hours both times I called, but it wasn't until the 2nd time, with a 2nd tech, who finally identified the root cause and fixed the issue.  The unit has been running fine in the past few weeks since the repair.  Due to the faulty wiring.  The sale rep did give me some service credit in my final bill for my trouble after I complained to him.
  Overall: I would use Kaufman again, but would make sure to ask the technicians to double check their electrical work especially thing they wire toward the end of the day.

  These guys are amazing.  I have used them for a while and they are responsive, they listen, and they take the time to sit down with you and fully explain exactly what they are doing or have done.  It's this way every time.  Also, on THANKSGIVING DAY, instead of the guy coming out here and chargin me triple time, he spent 20 minutes on the phone with us twice, to help us stop a leak (pour) in our ceiling, so we could wait until a business day.  LOVE THESE GUYS.  WOuld never use anyone else.

  Very detailed proposal, which I appreciated. Other vendors were throwing me fat prices and just lists of components...
  no plans.

  Sometimes when they come to fix something if they cannot see the issue right away it may take a few visits for them to fix what is needed. I have to call them back from the previous visit. There have been times when they have fixed it on the first visit but that does not happen on every visit. They are good when it is general maintenance.

  We needed to replace an aging heating system, and Gault was highly professional and knowledgeable in discussing our options with us. Once the decision was made, the installation was scheduled in very short order. There were a couple of technical problems after the installation was done, but Gault was very responsive in sending a technician to check out the problems and solve them.

  The gas burner was closed down by gas company due to faulty heat exchanger. Made several calls, but Total Comfort was only one to return call with concern (no heat) over the weekend and assured me that someone would be here first thing Monday. There was and confirmed the problem. Today, 4 men(very courteous,) came and did the job and made sure everything worked before leaving. Also, I was ver;y impressed the care taken not to mess carpets, etc.( came equipped with clean drop cloths). Besides their expertise, they were respectful of my home. I definitely would recommend them and I plan to use them for the air conditioning this coming summer.
