  Needed to get my property which is extensively landscaped looking good for a big party. They were able to squeeze me into their schedule and the work was top notch. In fact I have contacted the owner via text for a number of estimates and an emergency plowing job since this time, and he always gets right back to me even though I haven't yet purchased any other services.   I had several trees that I wanted removed because they were either dead or dying after what had been a very tough winter. I also wanted several sugar maples trimmed out because the company that I use to plow my driveway had requested that I park under those trees so that they can plow efficiently and those trees seemed to be losing branches fairly regularly.  I called several companies for estimates and on a hunch I called Sotil Tree Service for a fourth estimate.  When I called, the woman who answered the phone advised Rick was leaving on a trip that day so she was unsure if he could get back to me.  I said that was fine, he could call when he returned and never expected a call back.  Rick called very shortly thereafter and advised he was leaving on a short trip but would call me when he returned.  I never expected him to call when he returned, but he did.  I have a tough work schedule and Rick worked with me, meeting me early on the weekend.  He was the only arborist I called who actually touched the trees and explained what was wrong with each one and why it should be removed and what equipment he would use.  I had a very large sugar maple in the front of my home that had grown into two separate sections which were splitting.  This was one of the trees I had wanted trimmed out (although I had been toying with having it removed).  Rick explained that one section would have hit my home when the tree eventually split. He suggested taking the half that would eventually hit the house down and leaving the other half, which would fall away from the house, for another time which is what I opted to do.  One of the 100 ft. trees that I wanted trimmed he advised me was hollow and needed to come down.  I resisted, but after a couple of weeks of research on my part I agreed with him to have the tree removed and it turns out he was right that the tree was very hollow.  The remainder of the trees were fairly easy to see the rot or the breaks.  I had Rick and his crew remove the cut trees to the back of my property, which they stacked neatly so that a family member could cut and remove the wood as his schedule allowed.  Overall, the job was done very neatly.  I have a difficult neighbor and advised Rick to be prepared to have the police called since several of the trees were close to the property line, but my neighbor never complained.  The grass barely looked as though it had had heavy equipment parked on it for two days.  Rick's crew was extremely polite. Rick worked with my timeframe and budget.  He always answered my telephone calls and politely answered my many questions. I would certainly call him again for any future tree removal.  I have an 18th century home and have used many, many contractors over the past 19 years and this was by far one of the most pleasant experiences I have had in a very long time.
