Multiple repairs to house (roof, walls, ceilings, insect repairs)

Had crew for 5 separate jobs. 1st was replace kitchen ceiling, replace range hood, replace garage side doorway and garage window. 2nd was roof replacement. 3rd was electrical service replacement. 4th was repair of leak into house due to improper installation by previous siding contractor, 5th was sill repairs from termite damage. Mike is a great communicator and I knew exactly where things stood during the entire process. Mike’s crews were all excellent. They are knowledgeable and very safe. I felt that the jobs would be completed as expected, can’t get any better than that. Mike clearly doesn’t want to revisit jobs again, he used good materials and was very well planned. For the exterior work, caulking that previous contractors didn’t use (and eventually caused problems) was applied. Ice and water roof paper was used to cover and protect walls which could potentially have leaking issues. Electrical repair was electrical service change and breaker box replacement.Very professional work and coordination with city inspectors and coordination with utility crews. Roofing was well done including job site cleanliness. Besides to the actual roofing they repaired damaged wood, installed a ridge attic vent, and installed a roof vent for bathroom exhaust. Sill plate was damaged, wall boards had some preliminary damage for about 2 rows. Sill was replaced, lolly column was installed for additional support of carrier beam. Removed vinyl siding was reinstalled correctly and misaligned siding from initial installation was repaired/corrected. Finally his crews of Clive, Kevin, Kyle, Dino, Billy (and more I can’t remember) were great. Professional, safety conscious, friendly and polite. One of the best contractors experiences I’ve had.

Repair work for the siding on my house

I highly recommend Mike at Stress Free Home Solutions for any work you may need. He returns phone calls, he does what he says he is going to do, and he does excellent work at a fair price. I cannot say enough good things about him and his fine company. Will definitely use again in the future.

Install wood plantation shutters

We needed a professional to install two sets of plantation shutters that covers the walls with casement windows in the living room and dining room. As you can see, these are large shutter doors (9 total doors) that operate on a railing system (hangs on the ceiling mounted rail, and has wooden rail guides on the floor). It was a unique job such that we had a hard time finding professionals willing to do the work. We got estimates from two other professionals and although Stress Free Solutions' estimate was higher, my wife and I felt more comfortable with Stress Free Solutions to complete the job to our standard of quality and on time. When this company's motto is "INTEGRITY, QUALITY, RELIABLITY W/ AN EMPHASIS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE", they really stand by that. Michael Rivas, owner, and his crew showed up prior to their stated arrival time to get situated and start work.....all business-like. Over the years, we have run into a lot of contractors and observed some contractors would "shoot the breeze" and take their time to do the job. Chit chatting is okay, but only at a minimum. We didn't hire you to talk about your day or personal life. Michael Rivas and his crew went straight to work and did their job. They allotted 8 hours to perform and complete the job. They finished their work in a little over 5 hours. Overall, we felt they did an outstanding job. They were very detailed oriented and wanted to ensure all the pieces and parts went together as they should. They would raise questions and concerns to me since I was the one who removed the plantation shutters. They would also make suggestions to see how we felt about any changes that could improve the system/appearance. Further, they installed our shutters how we wanted them done. We were very happy about the end result and would definitely hire them again for future work.

Replacement windows, new doors, interior painting, lally column, ceiling fan

My wife Amy and I have been very fortunate with contractors over the years. It seems that we run into the right group at the right time. Having said that, Mike Rivas’s Stress-Free Solutions stands above all others. It could not have gone smoother. The complicated window replacements went without a hitch. The new interior doors were perfect. The painting and stain turned out better than I thought possible. The outside trim work turned junk into treasure.. They communicate clearly and follow through with quality work. They have a sense of humor and It was really fun working with them. We had our living room and dining room both full painted (walls and ceiling) and had our floors refinished. I wanted the work to be done within the same week, so it was very efficient to have a single contractor take care of both jobs.

Stress Free Solutions was busy, and they let me know an approximate date. I said I could wait as long as we could get the job done all at once. They took 2 days to paint, then 3 days to finish the floors (3 coats of poly). They also came back quickly to do detailed touch-ups. The final result is fantastic and Mike was a great guy to work with.

Contractor replaced large back deck, including footings, steps, lighting, and rails. Other work performed by contractor include replacing wood siding on my house, numerous windows, door with storm, roofing/overhangs/soffits, and gutters. They also painted the entire exterior of my house.

They installed lighting and meticulously aligned the wood planks to accentuate the design of the deck. Their carpentry skills are exceptional, adding fine details to construction and design. They applied multiple coats of paint to the exterior of my house including hand staining the wood to ensure longevity of the planks. They installed membranes to prevent moisture damage in my roof and siding. Their attention to detail is evident from the clean/neat seals around the windows to the alignment of the nails in the siding. Mike Rivas met with me numerous times and provided recommendations that not only addressed issues of the immediate job but with foresight for future work that need to be performed and by any contractor. Brian, David, Kevin, Tommy, Peter, and Steve are meticulous and very skilled. My property has features that require some creativity in design and installation. The crew of Stress Free Solutions take care to think through each challenge and did a wonderful job. I've received many compliments on their work from friends, family, and other contractors. The crew are very courteous and professional - they leave my property neat and clean after each day's work and at the end of the project. I highly recommend Mike and his crew. As a matter of fact, I've hired them again for another project!
