Medical Specialist reviews in Waterbury

I had considered leaving before. A receptionist had called me regarding a mammogram I had done for another doctor. The receptionist told me I had a nodule on my breast. I was shocked as my specialist dr. had told me she just wanted to do some more pictures. I asked what a nodule was, and the receptionist did not know but said she would have a dr call me later.
I did not receive a call that night or next day.
Come to find out when I had the pictures done for my specialist dr., everything was fine., So I worried for nothing!
Communication between office , dr's and patient are terrible Do you really think this kind of news should be delivered by a receptionist?
I have had at least 4 different PA's since I started with Dr. Mongelluzzo.
Oh , I never met Dr. Mongelluzzo in all the time I was there.

Dr. Salerno was my GP for almost 20 years. I stopped seeing him when I moved away. He was a good doctor and I liked him but eventually, I was diagnosed with a disorder in the autism spectrum and Dr. Salerno's response was less than stellar. I've since moved back to the greater Waterbury area but I chose a new doctor in a different practice because of his response.

Although I am happy with the results of the surgery, I got the impression that the doctor I met with -- who was not the one who performed the surgery -- was not terribly knowledgeable about my issues.
I will go back to the practice group at least once more, but may look for another provider if I am still not confident in the doctor's abilities.

They are really good.  When I go in there, the women at the desk take care of me and I am in and out of there really quickly.  I like that I have an appointment and that I don’t have to wait long.  Because this is something really personal, they tend to my needs and they are very aware that I might be frightened and they ease that a lot.  They are women that really care about your health.  They want you to feel comfortable and at ease.  They ask if I have any questions before they do the procedure and they tell me what they are doing every step of the way.  I’ve done it a lot and I do know the procedure but they tell me anyway; I like that.  It almost seems that they are like an aunt or my mother and they are worried about my health.

He is really thorough. We are seeing him for three years. We see him very often. He is got an excellent reputation. His appointments are always packed up so one has to sit in the waiting room. He is excellent and we can wait for hours to meet him.

He is very responsive to request. He explains things extremely well and in layman's term which you can understand. He looks for new and different things to help. He doesn't just go with the old remedies.

I don't like going to the doctor but I feel comfortable here. The doctor has good bed side manner, the office staff which to me is more important for me than the doctor. One deals with them more than the doctor. They are all wonderful, the nurses are great, the front office staff is also good and the billing is good. I will continue to use them in the future.

I consult Dr. Melvyn Ranish and I go there every 4 weeks. The way the allergy offices work is that the doctor sees his patient about 2 or 3 times a year, since the schedule of the shots once they get into the routine. I go there every 4 weeks for my allergy shots from the nurses in the office. Every now and then say after 2 or 3 months I have to see the doctor once in a while to make sure everything is okay with me. Also when I have a general question relating to the respiratory system, cold, infection or something I call and ask him. The nurses are very friendly and nice. I will continue to use him in the future.

He's good and he jokes. He is delightful as are his associates. Other professionals referred him to me. He is thorough, professional, supportive and kind. If I need to see him right away, he will meet me or have somebody else do it. He realistically plans his appointments. He's pleasant and he knows what he is doing. He is able to effectively communicate with his patients. The people that work there are professional and it is a comfortable office. His punctuality is amazing. He is extremely qualified and he is doing what he should be doing. He pulls for me and he will make me feel relaxed. His bedside manner is outstanding and his follow up is good too. He will catch things that are going on. The billing is great and they work with you if it needs to be spread out. I would use anybody that he recommended.

They were great. I would recommend them for operations. Everybody was very nice in there and they were very caring. I have no complaints at all. It was pretty easy scheduling an appointment. I haven’t got the bill yet. I would definitely use them again in the future if necessary.
