A recent storm took down a huge oak tree in our yard. Dan and his crew arrived one day after we called and not only handled the daunting job with great care, thoroughness and professionalism but he also ran interference between us and our insurance adjuster who was giving us a difficult time in such a stressful situation. I would highly recommend Dan and his crew to anyone and everyone! Great job guys!

From the moment Alex met with us we knew this was the mason for us. He was very polite and informative. Alex took the time to suggest design and materials in a way that we could visualize. He was also augmenting the design with pictures and he was open to our suggestions and vision. Ultimately we went with paver stairs and walkway which is beautiful. we are extremely satisfied with the workmanship, honesty and integrity that Alex Masonry brings to the homeowner. We were so happy with the front of the house that we asked them to quote and do the work in the back. We ripped up some concrete and added a small paver walkway to the deck stairs. Everything they said they were going to do they did. There were no hidden charges and the cost of the project was fair. 10/10 would hire and recommend.

Fantastic. Three man crew came by early in the morning and cut down a large Maple tree, one huge rotten leader, and a shrub. Also did significant pruning of other trees, and canopy thinning. Very nice job cleaning up everything.

When I first purchased the time the first available opening was on Sunday. Sunday came and I had not hear from anyone so I decided to call. The gentleman at first did not even see that I placed an order for service but then said that he was busy and could probably not be able to come by until the following Saturday but if an opening came up he would let me know. He called on Tuesday to say he could come Thursday at 9am. At 8:30 am on Thursday he called and said that the guy that was coming needed to get some things and would not be here until about 9:30-10 and it would be 1 guy who was coming. They finally showed up at 10:30 and no clue what they needed to do. They did not actually get to work until 11. They did not have a lawn mower, edge trimmer only a leaf blower and hedger. We had to lend them our broken lawn mower and edge trimmer to do the job. The rushed to try to get the job done within the 2 hrs even though I was told that it would only be 1 guy. They did not finish the job until 1 and I had to pay them for the extra time that I did not ask for. I also spoke with the owner of the company who was very rude and said that the ad said 1 guy for 4 hrs and 2 for 2 even though he only told me that 1 guy was coming. What was I supposed to do when 2 guys showed up at my door, tell the other guy to wait in the truck for 4 hours?? The overall job was done poorly and for a landscaping business this is unacceptable.

My normal guy for snow removal never showed up. I found Sammy Masonary on Angie's list and called. Within several hours he arrived and the job was done. He was prompt, professional and vey efficient. He made sure I was satisfied with the job he had done. The price was more than I normally pay but I needed it done now so I paid the higher price. I would consider using him if my normal service is no longer in business.

I agreed to purchase 2 cords of wood from this company on Thursday 13October16. Delivery was scheduled for Saturday 15October16 and I was initially given a three hour window, then a two hour window given the day of delivery. Delivery was made and Mr. Pantan left. The wood was stacked on Sunday morning. When I finished stacking the wood I found that I was shorted well over half a cord. I took a picture of the stack, with measurements, and sent them via text to the business number listed on the flyer that was texting me to set up delivery. I stated we had a bit of a problem, I was not given what I had paid for, and asked Mr. Pantan how he would like to proceed. I immediately received a phone call from Mr. Pantan who launched into the excuses the moment I said "hello" when answering the call. He told me that I am wrong, then that I had measured incorrectly, then that I had stacked it using the wrong dimensions (which can't be done because to determine a cord you calculate volume using whatever dimensions the stack happens to be). I told him I was not wrong, the stack does not measure up to two cords and is considerably short. Mr. Pantan told me I was lying. I explained if I was a little short, I could live with that as perhaps the next time I might get a delivery in my favor however, being shorted well more than 25% of what I paid for was not acceptable. Mr Pantan then told me that he had stacked the wood in his truck and delivered it in 6 rows but as I proved in a still shot from my security camera showing his truck on my property the wood in the dump body was not stacked but piled. He told me my security camera was wrong. I then offered Mr. Pantan $20 to come back and measure the stack of wood. I explained if the wood did indeed measure two cords as I purchased, he can keep the $20 and I'll apologize for the trouble. However if the wood doesn't measure properly, I keep the money and he brings me the amount I was shorted and apologizes to me. Mr Pantan not only refused but told me if I didn't "shut up", I would never see the amount I was shorted. I then increased the offer and told Mr. Pantan that I would offer $50 for him to come measure the wood he brought me with the same stipulations. Not only did Mr. Pantan refuse a second but he also screamed at me to "shut the f**k up". It was at this point I ended the call immediately saying nothing further. A short time later I began to receive texts from Mr. Pantan who complained that I was rude to him and that he doesn't work on Sundays. I reminded Mr. Pantan that he called me a liar, told me to "shut up", then told me to "shut the f**k up", and that when he was eager to take my money for the product he had no issue offering to deliver it on Sunday but now that he got caught ripping me off he no longer worked on Sundays. I informed Mr. Pantan that I would simply call the police and seek an alternate avenue to be made whole for his cheating me. Mr Pantan told me "yeah, good luck with that" and the texts stopped. A little more time had passed and texts started again. It seemed Mr. Pantan had a change of heart which he attributed to the desire of "not wanting to leave a customer unsatisfied". I told Mr. Pantan not to kid himself, he was coming because he got ripped me off and if he did not make it right then it would create trouble for himself. I agreed to allow Mr. Pantan to come back and measure the stack and we settled on a half hour window. Mr. Pantan arrived the same evening, 15Oct, with another, older, gentleman who was not immediately identified to me. Mr Pantan stated he wanted to measure the stack of wood himself and I told him I wish he would so that he can see I am not a liar. I went to help with the measurements with my tape measure and Mr. Pantan snatched my tape measure from my hand stating "I know how to F'in measure, I do it every day", so I stood back and watched at he stood at one end of the stack and extended the tape measure well beyond the end of the wood. He then told me I was wrong because the stack of wood was over 9' long. I grabbed the end of the tape measure and suggested he measure the actual stack and once I moved it to the true end of the pile asked him to read aloud the measurement, which he refused. I then took my tape measure back and said let's measure each individual row. I measured each row showing they were not quite 4' tall (the standard for stacking a cord of wood) and asked Mr. Pantan if he would acknowledge out loud this fact, he would not and then yelled at me to measure the width. I obliged and the stack measured 5'4" wide. He wanted to round it up and I said no way. I told him to calculate what he brought and he did so on his phone and I asked what he came up with and again he wanted to round up.and I again said no way. I asked if he shorted me and he would not say, so I did the calculation on my phone and told him to read what it said and again asked if he brought me what I had paid for. It was at this time, while yelling at me, that he said the fault was mine because I "stacked it to well". I couldn't believe this. I said I had a pile of wood and I put it into a neat stack, which was still a gift in his favor considering how I stacked the ends. He told me that if he brought his guys back to my property and re-stacked the wood they would make it 2 cords. I replied of course you would because that's how you cheat a customer. Mr. Pantan and the gentleman he brought with him are both yelling at me now and this is when I asked who the other man was and he stated he was Mr. Pantan's father. The younger Pantan continued to explain it was my fault for stacking the wood too well all the while yelling at me and I was yelling right back. I ordered them off my property as my wife was upset and my children were in the house scared about the two men yelling at their dad and both Pantan's wouldn't move. I told them I had recorded the initial phone call and would be putting it on YouTube so anyone could hear how they treated their customers. The younger Pantan, still yelling at me, told me not to do that because he made it right and the older Pantan told me if I let anyone hear it then they would sue me. I had to physically herd both Pantan's away from my deck and repeatedly tell them to get off my property. They finally both climbed into the truck and once the door was closed the younger Pantan began making derogatory comments about my home and yard while driving away, then stopped his truck at the edge of my property to yell some more. This time I told them to get off my property or I was calling the police and they finally took off in their truck. I had to ask them a total of 6 times and threaten with the police before they would leave. Bottom line, I paid $400 for two cords of wood and was delivered less than 1.5 cords. Initially I didn't believe that I was intentionally shorted. I let Mr. Pantan know about the issue and gave him an opportunity to correct the mistake, even offering to pay him $50 just to come and look at what he brought me which he refused to do. For this I was called a liar, screamed at, told to "shut up" and then told to "shut the f**k up". After deciding to go to the police Mr. Pantan had a change of heart and measured the stack of wood he had delivered and then told me the fault was mine for stacking it "too well". Mr. Pantan then told me if he and his men had stacked it they would make sure it was two cords. Because of this behavior and statements, I no longer believe this was an innocent mistake and instead shows that Mr. Pantan knew exactly what he had tried to get away with but didn't want to face the music. Search John Pantan Landscaping Evergreen Property Associates LLC on YouTube for the call Mr. Pantan made to me. I also have the screen shots of all the texts he sent that I would be happy to share should you like to read them. I apologize for the lengthy story but I wanted make sure everyone knew about how the business owner conducts himself. The picture I am attaching shows the final stack with a couple of gnarled pieces just placed on top. This stack measures 8.5' long, 5.3' wide and almost 4' tall with 5 rows. Less than 1.5 cords which Evergreen Property Associates LLC comfortably claims is a full two cords.

Contractor was very flexible and knowledgable. Was able to take our concept and help us turn it into a final design.
Worked closely with us throughout all projects to be sure we were on the same page and in the process that we were happy with how things were turning out. We are very happy with the outcome and would recommend them to family and friends.

I recently purchased a home that needed a lot of work. My backyard was a forest. Tani's Masonry responded quickly with a very reasonable price. They are very punctual, professional, friendly, and neat. They were extremely careful with the tree removal and practiced all safety measures. The landscaping is beautiful! The firepit is wonderful! I am now able to enjoy my backyard thanks to Tanis. They also poured cement for a garage. They were very neat and meticulous. It came out perfect! They get right to work and get the job done! I'm extremely happy with all the work!

Sammy and his workers consistently have done a great job. The work was completely in a timely fashion with wonderful craftsmenship. They are respect and clean up after themselves. I just contracted with them to put in a patio at the back of my house. If you want the masonry job done right then you must use Sammy. My friends and family that have used sammy's masonry have been very please with the work and price.
