  • We originally had a guy who was a friend of a friend come out.  This guy made a mess. there were holes in the wall and the fan worked but not the light. I will never do that again.

We bought the special for 2 hours electrical work through Angie's list.  It took a few days more for the original contact then I expected.  Chris Serbort came out and fixed the mess the other guy made.  We hired him to come back and install ceiling fans in the other bedrooms.  He arrived on time.  No additional wholes in the wall.  I didn't need to patch sheet rock.  All ceiling fans and lights are in good working order.

Chris was very pleasant to work with and he did what he promised when he promised.

  • J.S. Electrical was amazing from start to finish.  I had purchased 2 hours of electrical work from Angie's List as one of their Big Deals.  They responded promptly, gave me a date for the job that was convenient for me, arrived exactly on time.  The work was done professionally, quickly, and they cleaned up after themselves.  I am so happy that I can't wait to tell other friends about them. We have had other electricians doing work for us in the past, but J.S. Electrical surpassed any other company that we have ever used.  I will most certainly call them the next time we need any electrical work done.  They scored and A+++++ by me!

  • No problems, Chris contacted me directly, promptly after I booked on Angie's List and we discussed what I needed done, he  asked further questions and answered and we set up a time.  Chris was on time and after going thru the house and discussing what was to be done he started the work and did not stop until done. I had intended to replace the bathroom fan/
light/heater unit in the bathroom but Chris noticed that there was a possibility of just replacing the exhaust fan instead of the entire unit, he called the company to confirm fan replacement (yes) so exhaust fan was ordered and replaced and the unit was returned for  a savings of $200.  After the exhaust fan was received Chris came back to install as was on time again and courteous.  I would definelty recommend Chris.

  • In 2007, Handyworks came to my new home and repainted my kitchen. I was so please with the work, that we then discussed the master bath. Keith had great idea - he removed an existing 5 foot shower stall and installed a whirlpool tub. This required re-tiling of the bath area and the installation of a new ceramic tile floor. A fan light combo was added and a new lighting fixture was installed. Now 6 years later, I am still happy with the work whenever I take a jacuzzi and smile at the wonderful tile work.
Keith was very honest, clear, on time and cleaned up all signs of his presence each day. HandyWorks stands by it's work. Their work is their bond and of the highest quality.
In 2011, my home sustained ice damage. Handyworks came in and fixed the interior damage. Ceilings had to be repaired, walls fixed and repainted, HandyWorks fixed everything with no sign that any damage had ever been present.
At the same time, I had a ceiling fan with light installed in the master bedroom. Keith installed a radio controlled switch when I first enter the room, with a second switch that sits on the headboard of the bed so I can easily turn on/off the light and fan as well as adjust the intensity. I have to say, this is one of the best things I've done for the bedroom and I thank Keith for the idea.
At this time I also had Keith add a radio controlled switch in my kitchen fan/light combo. Another one of the best things I've had done in my home.
I've recently had water damage to my home. I foolishly let a tub overflow - damage upstairs and downstairs. Of course I will call HandyWorks for the repair! ServePro came out to get the water out of the house (Like it never happened...), but left holes in my ceiling, baseboards removed, carpet padding removed and walls that need to be repainted. As I said, of course I will call HandyWorks for the repair!

  • He called before coming to the house. His company does not have a web site and the email address he gave me was not correct ( or I wrote it down wrong). So I had to explain to him that the ceiling was 13+ feet tall. he said I only have an 8 foot ladder...I guess I will have to rent a larger one. As it turns out, the ladder he had worked well. He did not have an invoice ready when he got here...a blank form only. He then had to ask my name and address again so he could fill in invoice. The work he did was fine. He did clean up after himself, but really lacked professionalism.

  • Called to install ceiling light/fan and closet lighting. Made an appointment to come within a week. Arrived and gave a good estimate. I was happy with the price and he came fully equipped to do the entire job. Everything came out good and the work was very professional. Very happy with responsiveness and the work. Will call him again in the future for any electrical needs.
