Overall, we are very satisfied with the work done. Chris was on-time, quick to respond to question/concerns, and very willing to help my husband when he had questions about the electrical work. He was also willing to work with us to help keep our project within our budget. He knows the inspection requirements well, and the inspection passed without any issues. In addition, he spent quite a bit of time with us prior to the start of construction reviewing the plans with us and answering all of our questions.

Jared wrote a very detailed contract and stuck to it. He was very good about spelling out everything that was included (and not included) in the work to be completed. In addition, he was great about doing additional work that we needed to have done once the project got under way even though the original contract was signed. For example, after the demolition of the kitchen, we decided we needed to install a new fire door and storm door leading out of the kitchen into the garage. Jared was able to add that to the list of projects, purchase quality doors and gave us a reasonable price to install them.
Jared did a great job coordinating all the subcontractors and kept the project moving along. Although the project lasted many months, it was a reasonable amount of time considering the scope of the project and the amount of work we had done. Jared was great about communicating each daily and weekly schedule. We really appreciated his accessibility and quick responses to questions and concerns. The sub-contractors Jared works with are all very professional, punctual, reliable and very good at their craft/specialty.
In general, it was a very positive experience. It was nice knowing that Jared was on top of things every step of the way and we did not need to worry about the day to day details. When he said, " Don't worry, I got this", he meant it! I highly recommend JA Claremont and Sons Remodeling Co.

The contactor did an outstanding job on the gutters - they did not have the gutter down spouts put on the front of the house like they were originally done.  They hid them on the side of the house.  The Central Air conditioning unit was put in the attic and basement (I have a colonial).   The unit that was put in the attic had a pipe with black insulation around it coming down the side of the house and although you couldn't see it from the road or the front of the house, I knew it was there.  Russ put up a covering for it so it blended with the side of the house.  I had a couple of minor issues with the contractor, but Russ was very accommodating and had the issues fixed promptly.  The electrician upgraded the service and did an excellent job.  I had him put in some additional outlets on the inside and outside of the house and he did them beautifully.  All in all I was extremely pleased with their work and would recommmend them for future work.

    Collins & Co.
I was recommended to use Collins & Co. and I'm glad I did.
Company representative Mike came to our home to measure and scope out the job. He discussed the types, Blown-In, and Batt, and prices; the prices were very reasonable, and we chose Blown-In.
When the Installation Crew came, the Lead Man explained in detail how they were going to proceed. They put protective covering on our floors, and were very careful of furniture while walking through the house. We were called to check on the progress several times. Covers were put over the exposed tops, in the Attic, of the Kitchen ceiling lights, and barriers were put up to keep the soffits clear for air circulation. Batt Insulation was put on top of the Attic access cover. Cleanup was immaculate inside, and outside of, the house. The installation team was polite, cheerful and very proffesional.
We highly recommend Collins & C0.

    Quality Built Basements
After contacting several different remodeling and home improvement companies to get ideas and prices to finish my basement, I was getting discouraged.  Some would make appointments and not show up.  Most people showed up late.  Besides that, they all insisted on finishing the basement with fiberglass insulation, which we didn't want.  I contacted Bill at Quality First Home Improvement.  He was actually a few minutes early for our appointment.  He was very professional from the start.  We were very impressed with the fact that he did not use traditional fiberglass insulation.  We had a huge mold problem in a previous house and didn't want that problem again.  He showed us proof that the fiberglass is NOT ok.  This was exactly what we were looking for.  He took several notes, made drawings, helped us to come up with a design we loved. He got back to us quickly with a very reasonable price.  Bill, himself was at the job daily.  He actually did more than 50% of the work.  He is very meticulous.  The job site was spotless every day after the work was completed.  Any time we had a question, it was answered.  The subs he used were also very professional.  Everyone showed up on time.  The job was completed before the finish date!  We are extremely happy.  We would definitely recommend Quality First Home Improvement.  Our basement is beautiful!  This company will be the one we call to remodel our bathroom this year!

Bill was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job with the installation.  I am also very happy with the price.  He showed up on time and performed the installation very quickly and professionally with minimal mess.  I was also impressed with the quality of the Attic Fan itself which comes with a 5 year warranty.  Bill also provided the paper work needed to obtain a 30% tax credit.  I highly recommend giving Bill a call to see how he can make your home more efficient.

    Independent Insulation Co
When they first came to assess the work we wanted and to give us an estimate they were very professional and courteous. They also were very clear about what they recommended : only put insulation over the kitchen area and the bedroom area and not over the cathedral ceiling. The proposal for the work was very reasonable in cost. The day they came to do the work it was raining. They again were very polite and took every caution not to track in dirt and water onto our carpeting. They completed the work quickly and efficiently. They had me climb a ladder to look at the completed work. I have two suggestions for improvement: 1) Improve the quality of their equipment. When they arrived and pulled out the hoses for the blowing in the insulation the hoses were held together with duct tape in many places. The machine that provided the power to blow the insulation was on the back of an open trailer and was covered with a tarp because of the rain. I believe that if they invested in upgrading their equipment it would give them a more professional presentation and provide the customer with more confidence in their work. 2) Rather than have the customer climb into the attic to see their work, bring a camera so they can take pictures of the completed work. I never really got to see if the insulation reached my back bedrooms because I only looked in the area close to the top of the ladder and could not see to the far end of the house.

    Better Built Basements LLC
From the beginning, everyone at Better Built Basements that we worked with was very helpful, professional and accommodating .  We had heard plenty of horror stories about other contractors so we were prepared for the worst, but got the best.  They collaborated with us in the planning/design stage to help us determine the best layout for our basement.  They were open to all of our ideas and made us feel confident in the fact that they'd do it.  Their crew arrived on time and cleaned up each day and were a pleasure to work with  They adhered to the deadlines that they had given us for each stage of the process.  They answered all of our questions/concerns promptly and professionally.  We couldn't be happier with the finished product and the process itself.  It was stress-free for us and would recommend Better Built Basements to anyone looking for a contractor.
