Both Abby and Frank are easy to work with and really care about the client. They return calls in a timely manner and strive to make you happy. Abby is willing to consult on color choices and design. Her suggestions were very helpful. All the workmen were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and willing to do "extra" if asked. They all arrived when scheduled and cleaned up when the job was complete. Everything was done to perfection. I love the finished product ............ I highly recommend them!

    Catskill Granite
Robert, the sales rep, was very professional, friendly and helpful. He generously provided information for two other wholesalers on my first visit! I visited Catskill several times, knowing that whichever slab I chose would be permanent. Using paint chips, cabinet sample & Robert's gentle suggestions, we were able to narrow it down to one slab. My final choice was from another wholesaler. Prior to installation, an employee came out and spent about an hour carefully measuring and making a template for each counter top. To make the cut outs, the replacement sinks were sent directly to Catskill. Our last visit was to plan the final cut using the template. We quickly agreed and the results are beautiful. Trust Robert's color & template suggestions.

    Catskill Granite
Robert, the sales representative, was very patient, friendly and professional. He generously provided information of two other wholesalers on my first visit! I made several visits to chose the perfect slab of granite. Using the paint chips, cabinet sample and Robert's color suggestions, we narrowed it down to one slab. Although I chose a slab from another wholesaler, Catskill Granite did the installation. An employee spent about an hour carefully measuring and making a template [strips of thin wood glued together forming an exact outline] of each counter top. The replacement sinks were sent directly to Catskill for the cut outs. About a week later, the counter tops & sinks were installed. Trust Robert's color suggestions; he's spot on.

Jared wrote a very detailed contract and stuck to it. He was very good about spelling out everything that was included (and not included) in the work to be completed. In addition, he was great about doing additional work that we needed to have done once the project got under way even though the original contract was signed. For example, after the demolition of the kitchen, we decided we needed to install a new fire door and storm door leading out of the kitchen into the garage. Jared was able to add that to the list of projects, purchase quality doors and gave us a reasonable price to install them.
Jared did a great job coordinating all the subcontractors and kept the project moving along. Although the project lasted many months, it was a reasonable amount of time considering the scope of the project and the amount of work we had done. Jared was great about communicating each daily and weekly schedule. We really appreciated his accessibility and quick responses to questions and concerns. The sub-contractors Jared works with are all very professional, punctual, reliable and very good at their craft/specialty.
In general, it was a very positive experience. It was nice knowing that Jared was on top of things every step of the way and we did not need to worry about the day to day details. When he said, " Don't worry, I got this", he meant it! I highly recommend JA Claremont and Sons Remodeling Co.

    Bauhaus Construction
The work was done well and all the recommendations on the builders part were excellent. The price was very reasonable although I paid for all the materials which are not included in the quoted price.  I purchased the vanity tops, one vanity, tiles and grout (about $2000).  Anything under $5000 for the refurbishment of 2 bathrooms is very reasonable.  There were some minor issues like toilet paper holder and door hooks not re-installed that required additional work on my part upon completion.  I didn't realize these things had not been done until after signing off on the project.  There were a few moments of mis-communication during the project.  I thought by picking out floor tile it had been ordered, but it was not actually ordered pending contact with the tile installer verifying the amount needed.  Also I asked to have the vanity picked up by the builder not knowing this would cause him difficulties.  He was quite upset by this, which was unfortunate because if I had understood this I could have had the vanity delivered causing a few days delay in the beginning of the project.

They have a nice showroom in Plainville, CT where you pick the countertop. They come out and measure and explain the installation procedure and then install when the installation fits into the construction schedule. They were punctual and did a great job .

Excellent job. Very quick and professional. Jason listened to what we wanted and really helped with our decision. They measured the granite professionally and were in and out in no time and everything was accurate. The install went like clockwork and they cleaned up after they were done beautifully. The granite looks great! We had a small scratch on the bathroom granite and they came back and fixed it completely to our satisfaction and we are very , very picky about stuff. The kitchen install was perfect. They really know what they are doing and are priced competitively. I would highly recommend then to anyone looking for a well priced, neat, professional job.
If I knew how to give them the Page of Happiness happy face and the Super Service Award, I would.

    Quality Built Basements
After contacting several different remodeling and home improvement companies to get ideas and prices to finish my basement, I was getting discouraged.  Some would make appointments and not show up.  Most people showed up late.  Besides that, they all insisted on finishing the basement with fiberglass insulation, which we didn't want.  I contacted Bill at Quality First Home Improvement.  He was actually a few minutes early for our appointment.  He was very professional from the start.  We were very impressed with the fact that he did not use traditional fiberglass insulation.  We had a huge mold problem in a previous house and didn't want that problem again.  He showed us proof that the fiberglass is NOT ok.  This was exactly what we were looking for.  He took several notes, made drawings, helped us to come up with a design we loved. He got back to us quickly with a very reasonable price.  Bill, himself was at the job daily.  He actually did more than 50% of the work.  He is very meticulous.  The job site was spotless every day after the work was completed.  Any time we had a question, it was answered.  The subs he used were also very professional.  Everyone showed up on time.  The job was completed before the finish date!  We are extremely happy.  We would definitely recommend Quality First Home Improvement.  Our basement is beautiful!  This company will be the one we call to remodel our bathroom this year!

Heritage's quote was comparable with other businesses (including a "big box" company). I wanted to keep costs low, and Ray helped me meet that goal: I never felt pressured to make more expensive choices; in many cases he even suggested lower-priced alternatives. Ray and his installation team were very professional, dependable, and paid close attention to details. My newly-refaced kitchen cabinets look like brand new cabinets, and I am very pleased with the laminate countertop.
