Our entire family goes here and as far as I am concerned, if i have a say in it, none of them will go back. The oil change was done and service was fine. I said let's treat my baby to a car wash as well. That it where the trouble began. The vacuum blower broke the hood protector on the first pass and took it clean off on the second. An attendant had to go into the car wash to retrieve it. They attempted to get the broken piece back onto the hood and I had to tell them to stop. The manager suggested that the unit was broken prior to entering the car wash. Not so and too bad there was a breakdown of professionalism. I take very good care of my car. The response from the manager was you can by that part anywhere and that it was my responsibility. My car wash has just cost me $60 more.

I arrived at my appointment time and even though they weren't busy, he made me wait to check my car in. When he did acknowledged me, and started checking my car in, he didn't even know why I was there. So I explained again I was there to have the emergency brake tightened. The car is 10 years old and the brake isn't holding like it  should, so I thought the cable
    had stretched.
Then he handed me a blank estimate to sign. (No details of the work to be done, no description, no cost)
When I questioned him asking him to provide the estimate or at least a description of the work, he said in a very condescending tone, "I won't know what's wrong with it until I look at it."
I asked him to at least change he estimate to show what work he would be checking and to provide an estimated cost for the labor of checking, he told me "Sign the paper if you wan the work done."
I left and took my car to another mechanic. I provided the same information, and they provided the same form, with a detailed description of the work to be done and the estimated cost for repair to sign when I checked in.
This is a bad business practice and, in my opinion, is most often implored by providers that are not on the up and up.
    Buyer beware

This is not the first time these guys have saved my bacon. I keep coming back because they do great work at a fair price, and they are relentless about customer service and quality work. Jeff and his crew will listen, do the work, recommend ways to save money in the process, and in all ways take care of your automotive needs. They don't quit until they've made it right, and have been known to perform the occasional minor miracle. I can't recommend this shop and this crew highly enough. They're the guys I trust in this area with my family's vehicles.

The last time I brought my car to Pennell's the problem was just a couple of bad fuses. They fixed it quickly as usually and the charges were minimal. I trust this business completely. On at least two other occasions they found minor problems and did not charge me a cent! Recently my son bought a used car and the seller could not get the back plate off, one screw just would not move even after trying with an impact driver. My son brought it to Pennell's and they not only removed the old screw, but the put two new bolt-type screws on the new plate, and they did it for nothing ... even when my son tried to insist paying them. How many garages do you know that are like these guys? I used to use Firestone ... never again.

My experience with Secor Auto Center Saab Volvo went all right. They're fine. They're expensive. I've had to bring my car back for the same issue now several times. They were polite and accommodating but they didn't fix the problem. They told me I would have to pay for them for labor if they were to take apart the whole dashboard and check the wiring which they should have done the first time around, when it wasn't fixed right. There was a worker there who was really quite accommodating. Phil's pretty helpful. There's another guy there who is a complete ass. He basically makes you feel like a pain. I usually ask for Phil so I don't have to deal with the other guy.

Job was great. They went above and beyond what the dealer was going to do and for $150.00 less!
