I was very happy with the whole experience. The price was one half to a third of all the other moving companies. The movers were professional and took great care of our property that was moved. Would definitely hire them again in a heartbeat.

I am so glad I ended up using Mac's Moving and not the other moving companies. <<<<>>>> I had many estimates by movers, by phone and in person. Chose and scheduled All My Sons at first--even paid them a $500 deposit, but had an issue with them when they called up 3 days before saying I must agree to their holding my items on the truck and not unloading until an estimated total charge is placed on my credit card--I disagreed to having my items held hostage, and their attitude was, that's the way we do it, this is industry practice, if you don't like it, then cancel--how could I cancel when I needed to move in 3 days? They were playing hardball, I didn't like it, and when they threatened to cancel me the second time, I told them to do so. . <<<<>>>> Desperate to find a mover, since All My Sons cancelled, I chose Father and Son next, gave them $50 deposit to hold the schedule--but they did not take credit cards, but wanted cash or certified check--very inconvenient--and why--what is the reason?. And then I found Mac's Moving--Sam the representative was what enticed me to use Mac's--she is very personable. <<<<>>>> Got a quote from Mac's by going over my inventory of items over the phone, since there was no time for an onsite estimate. She said I needed 5 guys and two trucks, instead of the 4 guys and one truck others (except for one) estimated. And she cited more hours than the others. But the travel time was a fixed charge, not an hourly charge, and everything else, supplies was covered. I was given the choice of fixed price or actual hours. I chose actual hours. We agreed to a move on Wednesday. No deposit required, as All My Sons had demanded, Credit Card was fine, after the move. (I to complete all the packing). <<<<>>>> And this is where it started getting impressive. I found that I could not complete the packing by Tuesday (the night before), so I asked to switch to Friday. Sam accommodated me. Then I saw I could not get ready for Friday, and asked to switch to Saturday, and Sam moved customers around. Ended up being I could not get ready for Saturday either, so the move got switched to Sunday. <<<<>>>> I found that I had too much stuff and needed to move many things to a public storage facility since more will not fit into the apartment. Called Sam and asked if they could help me move marked items into a storage facility--no problem--and if I could not rent a storage facility in time, Mac's could even store it for me, with delivery later. Very flexible. <<<<>>>> Move day, Sunday. Seven men came rather than 5, with two trucks and a van. They went to work immediately and rushed. I was overwhelmed, and could only get out of their way. They asked what to move in a room, and move it. Wrapped up the furniture. Since I had taped and marked all the boxes, all they had to do was carry the boxes--200-to-300 of them. The washer and dryer got moved also. They found they did not need the second truck, and not need the 7 movers for the off load, so 2 of the movers and the other truck left. At the other end, the off load was equally quick. They did break one of the house's stairway windows, but will pay for it. They set up my furniture, but left off reconnecting my dresser mirror, which they will come back to do. <<<<>>>>After the apartment, we went to the public storage facility where they off loaded the hundred plus boxes via a human chain, passing the boxes, in 15 minutes. I was so pleased with their work, I gave each of the 5 on/off load movers $30 tip and the 2 non-present on-load movers $20 tip, with $10 extra for $200. The supervisor went over the time records with me and I signed. The office would bill me later. <<<<>>>> Sam billed me for 6 men, since it is 7 for on-load, 5 for off-load. There was the charge for travel. No surprises. <<<<>>>> In summary, use Mac's Moving with confidence--efficient, flexible and accommodating, easy to work with and reasonable. Why not give them a try? <<<<>>>> I had gotten quotes and estimates from over a dozen movers--it is hard to find a good mover, and harder yet to find a mover that is straight-forward and not tricky. Some of them just don't give a good feeling--afraid of being robbed. <<<<>>>> Give Mac's a shout. Mac's the Max in Moving. And Sam is the best! And the moving associates, all helpful and friendly--and hardworking--no slouches here.

Movers arrived a little late because of traffic.  however they called in route to let us know they would be arriving late.  Once they arrived they quickly got to work, disassembling, wrapping and moving items to the truck.  We needed four people to move our grand piano.  All the furniture was moved without a scratch.
We decided on the hourly rate, instead of a flat rate, because we had a good sense of the furniture that needed to be moved, and the traffic conditions to our new house.   We did appreciate the flat rate option and this might be a good alternative for some.
Special thanks to the movers - Nelson, Zachary, Glenn, Robert and Ryan.
They were very friendly and polite.
    We would hire them again

I can't say enough good things about Rick O'Shea, his wife Michelle and their team. They are a family run business and Rick  was both one of the movers as well as the supervisor. They were extremely responsive and helpful, both prior to the move and after.
Everyone involved was friendly  and professional. They did a great job packing and handling furniture and artwork. They were all a pleasure to do business with and we would definitely use their services again.

Showed up right on time. Very professional - extremely hard working. It was a hot and humid day and the move required navigating the 2nd and 3rd floors of an early 1900's home to get everything out. Entire move was completed in one day, within budget and our property was well taken care of.

The move went very smoothly, considering Metro area traffic. The crew arrived early at the apartment, and everything was wrapped and loaded. They met at a storage facility where the crew packed the furniture .they were cone by 1:30 in the afternoon, and all went very well.

This was the first company I called as it sounded great based on most of the other reviews. However, I called and left a message to get a quote and two days later have still not heard back.
